I really enjoyed the Starlo fight, but I feel like this song doesn't know what to do with itself emotionally. Hearing Starlo declare, in despair, all the ways he fucked up, and seeing him lower his eyes at you, feels really relatable. This entire game was just so good from beginning to end. Just peak. Absolutely peak.
Easily one of the coolest tracks in the game. And there is indeed quite an assortment of cool tracks. But this one is easily among the best. The energy, how it feels so unique and yet true to the style, it really encapsulates why this game is worth experiencing.
This is my favorite boss theme after "BEST FRIENDS FOREVER" and "END OF THE LINE_". It just gives off such western yet somewhat futuristic vibe that i cant explain. It was honestly stuck in my head up until the "Flowey" battle.
I took one look at this dude and my brain immediately decided he was going to be the subject of this month’s hyperfixation. Hell, I don’t think I’m gonna be falling out of love with this game in general any time soon
Western/Cowboy tropes are one of my least favorite tropes. But jfc, I really loved the Wild East/Starlo/Feisty Five segment. How did you do that?? Easily my favorite boss fight/theme. (Also, I love how the opening sounds like Ringabel's Theme from Bravely Default ahahaha)
I think it’s because it doesn’t take itself very seriously. Even in-universe all the cowboy stuff is just a fun LARP for everyone to distract themselves from the depressing reality of being trapped underground.
honestly, it stopped being enough at the El Bailador fight, like i can get through most of that fight without getting hit but that last attack always wreck me and the healing per turn is useless in a continous attack, so Steel Bucket all the way
While I listened to this song, I got to 1:101:10 and I thought about Starlo's situation. His entire posse and his childhood friend just ditched him and he's now actively trying to kill his deputy. You begin to realize how sad the 1:10 melody sounds now. With that in mind, the whole rest of the song starts to sound even sadder until it no longer sounds like a battle theme.
its so sad, he's been waiting for this moment his whole life, and he feels like his friends arent supporting it, going as far as to entirely leave him... so he takes out his frustration on the only one left. (of course, that's all from star's perspective) starlo my kinnie 😭😭😭
@@ronster. I'm not gonna lie, I didn't think anyone would agree with this. I just posted it to share my personal interpretation of the song but I didn't think someone would actually agree with it! This is my favorite fight in the game. The lasso is super thematic and makes for international attacks, the fight is super fun, the design is beautiful, the story is great, and the music freaking SLAPS
Yesterday I finished the neutral route and I must say that this is my favorite boss theme apart from getting attached to Starlo, I love his design and personality (but he did treat his friends a bit badly)
@@Lucas-cm2kyHey man. Just not my style but I got nothin against em. Still bein a dude with a sick hat and a big iron on his hip is any mans dream. I can respect that.
The Starlo fight was so hard for me initially since I was too stubborn to upgrade from the damn Silver Scarf (6Def & 2HP heal every turn) 😅 He was dealing like 4 damage & that was lots for little babey pacifist Clover (And then I did Genocide right after doing True Pacifist)
When i saw starlo in twitter i thought oh this is like the final bad guy outlaw that people think is clover or something I am delighted we got this goofy cool sheriff instead
This song was really good and very hype! I wonder why the imagery of the Train Problem wasn't brought up more for him when he has a literal train attack now that I'm looking at it, but the devs still made good canon material! Thinking over if having to choose between Clover and his friends (Ceroba and his posse) was a Trolley Problem-esque situation though. I mean... 5 or 1? Sounds familiar. The thing is, the longer the fight progresses, the more he reflects on his actions. He's not being the Hero, he's being a "bandit". But he still continues, because the situation is "the same". He begins doing it for the Underground's respect even though he knew the Wild East would never forgive him- still a "majority against minority" situation. The only thing that's changed is the scale of it all. The thing is, the original trolley problem doesn't always have personal stakes on the minority end. It just had 5 against 1, but pulling the lever gives responsibility on your end. The fact he has such high stakes on that end and still chooses to metaphorically pull the lever is gut-wrenching, because he wants Justice. He wants it so badly, but is this it? In the end, aren't him and Clover both just serving their own Judgment? Also the fact he's not afraid to make the game real as long as *he's* the one in control says something. In the Genocide/Vengeance Route, he doesn't shoot down Clover, possibly because he knows he *can't* win against a literal serial killer. He believes he's how he thinks of himself: Starlo, the nobody farmer. He can only do one thing- buy time for Ceroba to evacuate whoever she can while you both walk the ten paces. Because's she's the stronger one of the two, both metaphorically and literally. He's the childish one, he's the naive one, at least in his eyes. So what else can he do? Even the shadow over Clover's eyes could foil his own, they've both "gone a bit too far" and hurt people. But in the Pacifist/Neutral Routes, he has power. He has control. He's the almighty sheriff. So who's stopping him from making the act real? Certainly not you, and certainly not anyone else. They left him, remember? (At least, he thinks so.) So why shouldn't he pull the lever here when he's willing to do it before? What's stopping him from achieving that fame and glory and respect he deserves, no matter how much he regrets it later? Who's going to stop him? That's why he smiles when he shoots at us-- he's on a godforsaken power high. *He's* the one in control, and we know it just as well as he does. That's why our only Spare option is to surrender. For all the ACTs not ultilized well, I can at least let his slide. In all routes, he is his own limiter. His biases make him turn everything into the trolley problem, his own perceptions have him Judge who's a nobody and who isn't (Starlo & North Star, for instance), and his own actions depend on how he sees himself. When he thinks he's a nobody, he withdraws on himself and becomes softspoken and unexpressive. When he thinks he's on top of the world, he's loud, and boistrous, and outspoken. He is a walking self-fulfilling prophecy *and* the prophet. The worst part is, he's technically pulled the lever *before.* That is, during the heavily implied drought that turned the Dunes into... well, the Dunes. He left and turned the town into what we know it by today: the Wild East. But in becoming the sheriff, he moved out and left his family behind. Familiar again? Oh right, the *trolley problem.* Your family or an entire town- if not more people if you're considering Oasis! It's no wonder half the town is run on escapism- the choices he's had to make have hefty *personal* prices to pay. But he met the Feisty Four through his actions, he met Virgil, he got well-acquainted with the town- all because he pulled the lever. *Of course* he thought it would be worth it to shoot us down; he would've never gotten to where he is today without it. Would you rather not take action and lay in bed at night wondering what could have been, or make that choice and regret later? (How *did* he learn about the trolley problem anyway?) The worst part is that it didn't need to be this way. He didn't account for the fact he could've just apologized because he didn't think what he'd done was forgivable- because he couldn't let himself off the hook. He wanted to help, but he'd only hurt, and it was with what he'd used to lift the town up by its bootstraps all those years ago? He didn't account for the fact he could still keep in touch with his family because he didn't think *Starlo* could be the almighty sheriff, only *North Star.* Because he was some nobody farmer, right? He and Ceroba are clearly foiled throughout the game, and this is another display of that. Because not only is one of his lines in response to her "Where was I a few hours ago? In this exact situation.", Ceroba herself admits she was "tunnel visioned". He only sees the fact there are stakes for his mistakes, not the fact he can fix the root of the issue. Because he *thinks* it's his fault and it's his responsibility because he's too darn stubborn to ask for help. I can't get over his train attack, essentially. Edit: needed to add a TL;DR. TL;DR - Starlo's entire decision-making criteria is the Trolley Problem, because he's done it before, will again, but doesn't actually want to regret his decisions. Therefore, cowboy funny escapism lol.
This theme has hints of older western games like Wild Gunman and stuff like that, really dig the vibe. Died to Star a few times but his fight was really cool

I love this song so much, feels really upbeat while also perfect for an awesome dual!
Someone missed their cowboy grammar lessons.

Easily one of the coolest tracks in the game. And there is indeed quite an assortment of cool tracks. But this one is easily among the best. The energy, how it feels so unique and yet true to the style, it really encapsulates why this game is worth experiencing.
I remember when Starlo said "Its time for your FINAL SHOWDOWN, Clover!" and final showdowned all over the place...,,,,..,....
Love how this fangame is treated like undertale was. Remixes, what if, easter eggs, fun value, even aus
That awkward moment when you have to shoot your former cowboy rancher friend with split personality issues because he wants to steal your soul 💀🌽🌽
Starlo was easily one of if not, my favorite character in UT yellow, hes just that guy
Died so many times to this dude but never actually got tired of his theme ngl
Bc this shit slAPS
that attack with lots of guns and he slows you down took me like 10 tries lol (am pacifist)
This song makes me feel like I'm riding a horse into the sunset after catching bandits for the sherif.
Does the horse die?
best track on the game
Yo your profile pic is Pumpkin! I love Baman Piderman, but I’ve never seen another fan in the wild.
This guy is the reason I like destert areas in games now lol
Western/Cowboy tropes are one of my least favorite tropes. But jfc, I really loved the Wild East/Starlo/Feisty Five segment. How did you do that?? Easily my favorite boss fight/theme.
(Also, I love how the opening sounds like Ringabel's Theme from Bravely Default ahahaha)
I think it’s because it doesn’t take itself very seriously. Even in-universe all the cowboy stuff is just a fun LARP for everyone to distract themselves from the depressing reality of being trapped underground.
Seeing this character before playing the game I thought he'd be a cool cow boy bounty hunter I didn't expect him to be such a silly little nerd
Starlo and Cebora have my favorite themes
This game is amazing
Cebora moment 💀
Important advice:
You have officially reached the point in the game where the Silver Scarf's healing is no longer enough.
honestly, it stopped being enough at the El Bailador fight, like i can get through most of that fight without getting hit but that last attack always wreck me and the healing per turn is useless in a continous attack, so Steel Bucket all the way
While I listened to this song, I got to 1:10 1:10 and I thought about Starlo's situation. His entire posse and his childhood friend just ditched him and he's now actively trying to kill his deputy. You begin to realize how sad the 1:10 melody sounds now. With that in mind, the whole rest of the song starts to sound even sadder until it no longer sounds like a battle theme.
I didn't mean to put the timestamp in three times.
its so sad, he's been waiting for this moment his whole life, and he feels like his friends arent supporting it, going as far as to entirely leave him... so he takes out his frustration on the only one left.
(of course, that's all from star's perspective)
starlo my kinnie 😭😭😭
@@ronster. I'm not gonna lie, I didn't think anyone would agree with this. I just posted it to share my personal interpretation of the song but I didn't think someone would actually agree with it! But I'm glad someone else sees what I'm talking about and feels the same way.
This factor alone solidified Starlo as my favorite character in this fan game. I love him so much ❤️
This is my favorite fight in the game. The lasso is super thematic and makes for international attacks, the fight is super fun, the design is beautiful, the story is great, and the music freaking SLAPS
As a UT yellow player , this is a Great soundtrack when im playing Minecraft with friends
At 0:20 you can hear what seems to be a reference to the eddsworld intro jingle

I love when he said "its dualing time" and then proceeded to beat the shit out of me for like a week
It's always nice when a song is so good I don't mind getting my ass kicked
you really did an amazing work with the OST
The why did he feel the need to put (SPOILERS) in the title will remain as a mystery
Probably because some people wanna react to the song in game completely blind

I really preferred the part of this fight with the lasso. The stretchy movement was probably my favorite soul gimmick
An amazing soundtrack for our star⭐!! My favourite character:> You really did an amazing job on the game!!!
I am actually in love with Starlo
When you suck at this game like I do, that whip strikes fear into your heart.
that whip and nae nae
This game basically asked "What if westaboos existed in the underground?" And I'm all for it.
Fun fact: did you know that some of Starlo's attacks are based on the "training" you did with him?
“It’s just a theme for a cowboy wannabe, don’t go too hard”

Yesterday I finished the neutral route and I must say that this is my favorite boss theme apart from getting attached to Starlo, I love his design and personality (but he did treat his friends a bit badly)

This game has been a blast so far!
One of my favorites in this game
The Starlo fight was so hard for me initially since I was too stubborn to upgrade from the damn Silver Scarf (6Def & 2HP heal every turn) 😅
He was dealing like 4 damage & that was lots for little babey pacifist Clover
(And then I did Genocide right after doing True Pacifist)
ngl i stuck with that scarf till the end, made ceroba so difficult but my brain wouldn’t detach from the VALUE that passive healing has 😂
Is this just me or this should be the official UTY theme ?
Clover:
Starlo: (slows down fucking time)
Clover: (Taking 3 hits in rapid succession) “Boy howdy”
holy shit that bass is immaculate
This was such a fun fight. Just two cowboys having a duel. Love it.

starlo is my favorite character in this damn game the wild east is so cozy
This is by far my favorite fight in this game
by far one of my favorites on the entire soundtrack
(How *did* he learn about the trolley problem anyway?)
The worst part is that it didn't need to be this way.
Therefore, cowboy funny escapism lol.
not me breaking my keyboard over this fight in my NEUTRAL RUN
10/10 favorite UTY song
There are so many colors in this song, I simply couldn't stop listening.
In everything humankind have accomplished, in every good, awesome and perfect creation, the Undertale Yellow soundtrack is the best of them all
The beginning of the song is Ringabel’s theme with a whip crack
This theme has hints of older western games like Wild Gunman and stuff like that, really dig the vibe. Died to Star a few times but his fight was really cool
