@@sadiq9687 A discord server is a great idea! I'd definitely join
Only 12 points, a lot to learn for me
15 points
60 % ...🤔 I should improve
As a graphic design student, I'm so thankful for these videos. 🥰
Me the same :D
Cheers for the feedback Jazzy!
When you feel you’re not good enough but you do well in these. Not a perfect score and sometimes your answers may be too broad but then you realise you have the understanding to almost hit it. It’s motivating, thank you for these.
Love the series! It helps to improve your ability to find problems in a design and solving them.
that's really awesome to hear :)
The more I learn the more I learn! Coming back and rewatching tutorials- the content makes more sense and is easier to retain. The more I retain the more I analyze ads and other’s work.
you're really 'getting it' - keep going 💪
Those small exercises are absolutely brilliant! Please keep them coming!
I scored 18. Its been 1.5 years I have been watching your videos. Before that I know nothing about design principals. Your videos help me a lot to improve my design skills. I started learning so many things and my score show me that I am really improving. I am really very grateful to you and thank you for being a great mentor. Lots of love❤❤❤
That's so great to read, and 18 is a high score! :D
I can’t remember my score. But I can remember how much value you have given in just 7 minutes. This is absolutely a brilliant video. Thank you, always ☺️
Thanks a lot for the feedback on this!
This is the best way to learn UI. Thank you!!!
These type of videos always come with a design inspiration 👍🏻
Glad you think so bro
Was putting together a graphic for work today and thought back to all I learned in this video. It came out way better :)
That's really great to hear, thanks a lot for the feedback
Thx for your vid.
In one of the examples, If you transfer the "mentor"word to the second string, then in rare cases you can leave the hanging prepositions. Text encourages to read the second string. Read without pauses.
these type of videos making me a better designer....no any channel will serve this....
super knowledge full videos...thank you so much sir
Great to hear that bro, thanks!
I really enjoy this types of videos
Great to hear that Zawad
Very Helpful in understanding design principles as well.
that's what I like to hear :)
Looks like I'm starting to lean more toward the pro, much thanks to you as I have been watching you for years now. Great tips my dude!
6 points...thanks for the exercise
Thanks for this! I got most points but what I really like about your explanations is that it is a good practise how to talk my intentions through with a client. Would love more of those videos
I improve upon watching your videos in my graphic design career. Thank you satori
Wow.
So beautiful.🥰🥰🥰
I've observed how proximity is key in your designs
You deserve a lot of views, like millions
Thanks man, sharing the videos on social media helps :)
This points section is so excited I can test my layout !! more of it please, I watched all of your before & after playlist, keep going ♥

Amazing job bro
I'm a beginner and as green as it gets but I wanted to say thank you for today's video. It was a useful pearl of wisdom.
really neat to see you finding the content useful, cheers for the feedback
The call to action in the first one is.. very subtle in both cases. Would want to see conversion of the improved one vs something with text "more" or the like.
thank you for making these videos they are very helpful
Thank you for this awesome content!
Great class.

Glad you think so bro
@Satori Graphics Amazing video! I was just thinking that the size of the "Buy Now" button could be increased in the third design.Could you please let me know whether it's a good design point?
Thanks in advance!
I've learnt a lot via this video. Thanks so much Mr. Satori. I scored 10pt 😩😩

@@SatoriGraphics thank you buddy, will remember it and keep doing what's right,
Because after years I have finally found what I really love to do, I am a mechanical engineer by education and up until last year, had no idea that design was my real calling. Will keep following your tips and and tutorials to keep learning.👍🏻
More of this!
pressed like immediately
And you also got the first comment
Honestly I got 20 😂...the first design point on flow was what got me,.I am getting quite good at this. Thanks and Great video 👍
Yoo this was fun!!! I scored 13-14 I guess. Lost count in between. But thanks for the video 🤩
That is still more than 50% which is good going 👍
Hey Tom, thanks for the video ! It's really helpful ! But I wonder y you stopped providing a design for us to work with like u used to. Stay safe ! Keep creating more videos ! ✌️✌️✌️
Thanks Arun. I've been so busy with many things to do, it slipped my mind.. again lol. I need to write down and make a note
@@SatoriGraphics no sweat, do the things u need to do 👍😀. Was just wondering why u stopped suddenly
🎊 Bro... U R close to SIX00 K... 🎊
haha yes, we will be there soon :)
Wow ! Nice video
Got 20. Cool video as always!
Nice job!
In the last example, isn't "Trusted" a keyword? It should be as emphasized as the word "Mentor". Btw great video man!
Hey Tom, thanks for these useful videos, I've learnt so much from these 'Before and After' ones! I wanted to know where can one find these editable 'Before' design templates to practice on and improve?
Seems like you can find them in a lot of free resource sites like freepik. He did a video, not long ago, where afterwards he gave an exercise to work on which you can download from, yes, freepik. The video has a red thumbnail with “Pro vs Amateur?” On it, something like that.
@@ahrkricardo7013 Ahh, I'll search on Freepik, thank you so much!
Yeah as Ahrik kindly said, Freepik is a good place to check them out. I will link them in the description soon
@@SatoriGraphics thank you so much!
@@SatoriGraphics thank you 😃
The thumbnail is amazing
Please make video for this
Love this 💝💝💝
happy to hear that! :D
Hey your videos are really great ;) I like the way they are explained for noobs like myself. I have been trying to make a booklet portfolio with Adobe and I would like to know if there is a filter/layer to be used to make the pages/pictures look more like they came out in a magazine? I mean, some magazines they have pages that have a glossy look to them and I would like to know if that can be achieved in PS or any other program too? Thanx.
So in the first example we gotta choose whether we use Contrast (round button) or Unity (square button). If the illustration wasn't that asymmetrical would have Unity worked too with using some square shape for the button but in color red to make it stand out more?
Contrast and Unity are both major principles and it's hard to decide when we should go with one or the other.
To be honest i don't really like the white color text, it's still hard to read when the background is kinda close to white. If it's the title it's a so-so (but still no for me) the title need to be red for the safest, if you still want it white, just change it to white when you hover it, it even makes the design kinda intuitive. And that button upper right is in no way readable. i prefer it black, and make it red or white when the mouse hover it. The below button is good though, since it's probably far apart with the square button above, it doesn't feel like out of place and more eye-catching. If below the screen have the same button, than it needs to be a unity.
excellent
Thanks!
i got 14 out of 23 :) gonna work hard more>< thnx satori
You produce primo content. Good job
Thanks RD, I do put a lot of time and effort into making content
@@SatoriGraphics Well it shows and it’s appreciated! 👍🏼
thank you
Np, thanks for the comment and have a great day
love it
thanks :)
did you make up your own terms for the design principals? In all my years of school and work I've never heard "proximity"...rather i'd call what you did a better use of negative "space". and while hierarchy is important, it's never been one of the (idk 7?) principals
Got 17 pnts. Not a lot but still a lot to lern. Your tips help me becuase current i will work at website :)
Hey that's a really good score
@@SatoriGraphics thank you! Doing graphic stuffs about 1 year so far. Thanks people like i can lern a lot
4:20 People know that's a brochure, and they wanna know what's that all about. At some point you may end up sacrficing readability for adding contrast and appealing look. That's a no-no for me. You have to figure out a different way than overcontrasting the actual information vs the title. UI designer may fall in this trap. Usability (and visual appeal) vs readability.
The buy now text in after design is not aligned with its button as previous one. Any specific reason.. just trying to understand the concept behjnd it
It looks better the first one. In the second one the header is disproportionately big, white doesn´t constrast well with that pink, and the CTA´s color doesn´t grab the attention at all. For the hero you have white, black and that ugly orange, so many elements competing for attention. UX/UI is not just making cool things but taking into account accessibility, I would just have change the CTA, but not to orange, as it doesn´t contrast with the pink background either.
20 points
nice one!
@@SatoriGraphicsthanks
Gr8!
🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏻🙌🏾🙌🏻
:))
I got 18 (I got all the answers correctly on the first example)
That's good going :)
I got 16.
Is it okey? Or bad?
16 is more than 50% so it's good :)
and then the client asks you to makes everything big or give you 20 paragraph essay to work on in a very small layout.
12pts
More than 50% :)
I got 12!!🤸♂️🤸♂️🤸♂️😂
That is 1 more than 50% so it's an ok score:)
Is this the guy from cold fusion tv
Nein
maybe this is my super power and I never knew it but, it's all so obvious to me.
The words 'BEFORE' and 'AFTER' are not legible in the thumbnail when it's small in size.
They are fine one a smartphone screen, which is where most of my audience view my videos. Unless you have poor eyesight or a very small Mickey Mouse phone it shouldn't be an issue.
13/23
HONESTLY I DONT KNOW HOW TO THANK YOU
So got a solid 21 ...not bad if I do say so😂
21 is a very good score
19
17
Why I thought it was a tick?
Why did you think what was a tick lol?
