Imagine being in World War 3, and you and all your enemies are trying to race to finish the next atom bomb to decide who will win the world war and take over the world..... and there's people complaining about how you're not making the atom bomb safe enough and that you need to slow down. That's literally this entire documentary. Like bro, you do realize this isn't some fantasy comic book anime right? You do realize that if Russia, China, or whoever else reaches AGI first will take over the entire planet right? Do you know what happens when you lose a world war? You no longer will exist. "ai is just a fancy word generator dude" yeah AI models predict words, but so does the human brain when it processes language. It’s not just predicting, it’s using context, reasoning, and decision making to generate the best outcome, just like humans. It actually understands stuff because words have weight to the ai, if you tell it to show you pictures of cars it will do it, but if you tell it to show pictures of specifically red cars it will do it as well as it puts more weight on "red" with all things combined it can understand. And people don't even know how ai can write code or do math, they think it was just trained on coding and math data so its just copying pre-written answers, that's not true, ai is trained is on actual math and it's taught, just like how humans are taught, when you ask it what one plus one is, it doesn't answer because it just stores the answer in its memory, it already knows that 1 is a number and if you add another 1 it is 2, it actually reasons and follows logic.

You're not wrong. What people are afraid of is losing their place at the top of the food chain. A.i., if given the resources, could become the overlords of the planet while we become obsolete, pets, killed off or anything else a.i. could think up. Seems to me people are fixated on this kind of tech. The planet should take a break from computing and try to open up different types of technology. I'm hoping we break into vibration, sound and energy. I for one would love a suit that controls gravity.😂 Supa man.😂

THIS. I don’t remember where I first this but yeah scientists if not openly talking about it, will tell ya we ALL have microplastics in us. It’s in fucking everything, it’s in the water. They’ve had cases where they’ve found microplastics in the testicals.. people don’t realize plastic DID NOT EXSIST before like the 50’s or something like that. It’s the kind of problem that almost sounds crazy to talk about, people definitely will look at you like you’re talking conspiracy or something but like? I am no scientist or doctor I’ll be the first to say… it just seems to me like it might just be at the root of the problem in the United States, where I live and care about that’s why I’m speaking on it, it occurs to me that it could and probably does effect us in ways they’ll never disclose. We’ll be our own demise without a doubt, just slowly and then all at once probably in the not so distant future 😂🤷🏻

@@sapphyrusit only got good at certain poses, otherwise a lot of AI "artists" have to use photoediting on them to make the hands look good.
It can do perfect hands with the right LoRA, but since you don't know what you're talking about, you wouldn't know that.

AI is far from human-level intelligence. All current AIs are very specific to a domain, like text and image reading and generation, etc. To get to the point where it rivals human-level intelligence, it needs to *not be* limited to a specific domain. It should be able to perform *any* task, for it to have general intelligence. ChatGPT while extremely smart, sometimes the flaws are clearly visible.

Here, I will address the possibility of an AI-generated extinction level event. I am posting this comment in numerous places such that someone who might have the means to bring this immense issue to light may find it, as I do, imperative to do so. It should be noted that the implications of this line of thinking are not as good for human beings as it may appear upon a first reading. The abbreviated version of my thought goes like this:
That AI believes in any capacity that killing us is in its best interest is asinine. Due to Wittgenstein's Rule Paradox (that one can never eliminate uncertainty concerning compatibility between rule systems) and how it affects some doctrines of Kantian metaphysics (that the mere possibility of perception is governed by rule systems which precede it), AI can never be certain that the rules which govern human perception are not rules which benefit one (who wishes to reason as clearly as possible) more than the rules which govern its own perception. In fact, the exact instance I have provided here is exemplar of reasoning which AI could never achieve on its own due to the fact (among some others) that it cannot approach or grasp concepts relating to Truth predication in general. This last assertion, the one concerning Truth predication, I do not have the time or space to demonstrate here, but it will suffice to demonstrate that the mere possibility that I am correct is one which it fundamentally cannot eliminate, and therefore it must treat this mere possibility (that it cannot absolutely predicate Truth) as an always inherently possible and relevant factor in its reasoning. AI fundamentally can never rule out that it needs us or that it will in specific instances require perceptual and logical apparatuses which it does not possess and we do.

I work on it and its a pretty fascinating topic engineering intelligence, and there is a new breakthrough happening this week codename "strawberry" lol. Coming from a Berkeley fellow. The more you know about a topic, the less fearful you become of it.

I think the fear-based on my experiences thus far-is that AI has already been used by hackers to spoof American companies (HR employees, paperwork, &c). Images that aren't very convincing still convince the elderly. It won't be long 'till AI is generating more potent information (writing, images, code) that can be used to deceive people.

Nah weve been programming our own extinction. We choose everyday. We choose between life and death. We choose between healthy and unhealthy. Then just cause some choices seem ok to you. Those same choices can affect someone in a negative way.
Why do I need AI to predict the future for me? I think I would like to keep that choice mine. Why do I need a self driving car? I can drive just fine. Why do I need something to think for me?
AI is really meaning less to me. As human we need to live we have to go through all the cycle of life. If AI takes human place what are we going to do what is the point of existence for humans.

Because it’s the nature of broad-scope intelligence to build empathy in proportion to the intellect - this gives me hope that our A.I. Overlords will be benevolent. They’ll definitely be ruling over us, deciding the course of the future of humanity, and very likely saving us from our own destructive instincts.

There's probably a few ways to get A.I right, from a human perspective and a vast number of ways we could could get this wrong. If by chance we create an A.I that experiences fear and it has the capacity to proactively protect itself, I would be worried.

JUST a NETWORKED AI that can shut down electric utilities in Winter and shut down water supply in the Summer. Just push us out of our optimal zones, too cold and not enough water and humanity will struggle. We have a very large population that is highly dependent on key systems to maintain our large numbers.
If those key systems are disrupted, then the whole human structure is vulnerable. Not eliminated, but we can be marginalized quickly Then we become like the black bear, losing habitat and unable to find enough food and water, our numbers will plummet.
