Bought the mirror and definitely recreating! What MDF moulding did you buy from B&Q though!? Did you consider spray painting it rather than painting and I think the store can cut it down to size for free
Wow! I have to say FANTASTIC JOB! And the plastic underneath when gluing all the pieces together- when I saw that I had one of those “wow I feel ridiculously stupid, why didn’t I think of that moments” 😂 But hey, I think we have all been there! Your mirror looks FANTASTIC & I will say, better than ANY I have seen in the stores! What I absolutely love is you thought of everything, from plastic to how the little boards should lay so they look professional - that’s impressive planning! I’m new here & just subscribed! Thank you for sharing! I really enjoyed watching this! Great job!
Looks so beautiful! And I thought the last part when you decided to spread out the glue on your grid was so smart! You were talking about how you came so far and nothing had gone wrong....that’s where it would have gone wrong for me!!!! Hahaha...I would had just flipped it over and pressed it onto the mirror oozing the glue out the sides and cursing at myself for being so stupid!! But this was so amazing! LOVE all the greenery in the space!
Hey vannessa I love u some much... Ur such an amazing inspiration to not only me but many other ppl... I want to be like u when I grow up... Ps*I'm saving up to buy clothes from ur brand... I can not tell u how much I love it have a great day✨😘❤️
Good stuff, my making of one similar size a lot cheaper. Mirror panels eBay x 9 = £36. Wood 2400mm x3= £9 (Wickes) MDF PANEL £13, Paint £8 b & m. Already had the glue lol.
You had me absolutely HOWLING at bits of this! You having to ‘finesse the system’ to buy a hacksaw cos youre 24 and the fucking random chunk of mdf on the mirror were particular highlights 😂😂
It looks amazing!!! I'm gonna make one using the same technique for my new house. Unfortunately, I'm gonna have to wait about a year for the house to be ready... Hahaha
This was perfect! Love how you explain it very well, I’ not a English native speaker but I understood. Just sorry because I’m my city (coast of Rio de Janeiro) mirrors are really expensive
@@leanneroost4883 you'll find no small number of American men in their 40s or 50s, and older who were using a saw for all sorts of projects as early as 12 years old. I wouldn't put an electric saw in the hands of some one under 16, but a hand saw, sure. In fact, I was showing my four-year-old grandson how to use a saw just the other day. Familiarity with hand tools is a very important skill. If you don't learn young, you will be more dangerous with it when you get older... Like 25! ☺
I work in B&Q and most stores have a Challenge 25 policy and if you look under that age you will be asked for ID, even if you are just browsing the knife section. Also there are tester pots for that paint, you didn't need to buy a full size tin!!
Hey Vanessa...Nice one!! Thats proper girl power there! Looks really nice - Im looking to make this for my outerhouse! BTW - I noticed the Vegan cookbooks - love it!! :)
Math... Little bitc length= lengh of shorter side of mirror - (width of big pieces times 2):devided with 3 (since you choose to have 3 short bits) and that's it.. I would say you forgot to count that you have 2 long pieces that are so and so in depth. But.. But... but the piece is gorgeous🤩🤩 and from one woman to another... We learn from mistakes, right😉. Happy New year 😊
Another idea: I would have nailed the grid to the frame instead of gluing it to the mirror. This way you can eventually change its look without much problem!!
Also b&q have a cutting sectio & can cut for free for you so if you need MDF cut into pieces they can do it once you have measurements and dont need a saw then :)
Watched this video yesterday and ive placed orders for everything!! after I'd showed my dad and he freaked out over the gorilla glue loool, hes like "GLUE?!! i can give you screws and a screwdriver!" lmao im still using the gorilla glue 😂😂 -I ordered the 65x65 mirror instead so ill probs only get 4 squares but ahhhh im so excited THANKYOU FOR SHARING THIS VIDEO!!
Hey girl, so i’m coming here asking for ur HELP!! If you can make this then i believe in you, butttt can you do a diy moon mirror?? Have you seen them? Like they’re a crescent moon on the side of a circular mirror but it’s puffy and realistic with craters and everything. But if not then i still love your work, honestly never found anyone as crafty as you!!
Can’t tell you how happy I was to see B&Q and hear your accent! Finally someone U.K. based!
It looks fantastic, you deserve every pat in the back for making such a neat diy!
Thank you!! :)
girl you don't even know for how long i've been wanting to buy one of these mirrors now imma deffo try and recreate it!!!
Same!! So glad I did it and saved some £££
Smart girl! I was waiting for you not to paint the back of mdf and see that it was reflected in the mirror but you proved me wrong!
Good job and with almost no tools, it was impressive to see you saw the wood. You can be proud, Happy new years !
Thank you! :)
Imagine 3 of these in a row!! AHHHH THAT"D BE GORGEOUS! Thank you for sharing!!!

Glad you appreciate that!! I have no experience so had to keep it as real as possible 😝 thanks for watching!
Wow! Love how this mirror turned out. You’re creative process was really fun to watch and completely relatable.

Wow looks so good. Yes you should be proud of yourself.

Loved this! What's the name of the mirror you used?
Girl you did that! 😂💅💃🏽
You had me absolutely HOWLING at bits of this! You having to ‘finesse the system’ to buy a hacksaw cos youre 24 and the fucking random chunk of mdf on the mirror were particular highlights 😂😂
Hahahaa the mdf stresses me out I see it everyday 🤣
Looks awesome 👏🏼 I love it!!! 😍
Wow you did a fab job👍👍👍 looks so good.
You gotta use millimetres when making something. Don't measure in centimetres. Every millimetre counts.
Nah I did decimals to the mm which is the same thing!
That would make a hellaofa coffee table
oooo could be a vibe 😏
Definitely worth all that effort, it looks great! You should invest in a better saw/cutting table though! Well done!
Your nailcolor is beautyful 👌🏽
I immediately knew you were from the UK when I saw B&Q
It looks amazing!!! I'm gonna make one using the same technique for my new house. Unfortunately, I'm gonna have to wait about a year for the house to be ready... Hahaha

Exactly! When I plan things it all goes wrong haha

Soooo good 👍🏼 i love it♥️

Seeing you at IKEA right now makes me sad. I miss this
Whoa... age requirement to buy a saw? Interesting. Why?
I know!! Think it might just be in B&Q lol
mah6183 because children shouldn’t be able to just walk into a shop and buy a saw!
@@leanneroost4883 24 years old = child? 🤔
