Really well done ! I like that the ‘windows’ are rectangular and not square it draws the eye up more and helps elongate.

Ah I love Wendy's channel, I'm learning how to sew but also her voice is just so nice to listen to. A while ago I was getting a bit sick of all those loud and hyper youtubers and then I found her 😌

I kind of liked the plexiglass with the protective cover on it! Gave it an out of focus look 😊 you guys did a great job!

That plexiglass alone is worth hundreds
Yeah. Just 1/8” thick 4x8 sheet of plexi can run you $130-50 a sheet. But those 1x2s are pretty inexpensive. It definitely balanced out.

I'm 99% sure it's not plexiglass. It looks like acrylic sheets which are cheaper but still very expensive. (~$100)
You could honestly ignore the glass and just build the frame and add curtains or little shelf’s in between the paneling. That might be cheaper than a huge sheet of plexiglass? Not sure though.

They don't provide materials needed or cost estimates, which are literally what make something a diy tutorial. They gloss over several crucial steps in both the design and assembly process. It's a cool wall, but this whole thing is more of a flex.

Ok, first, this is amazing. Also, i would have made a frame in both sides and sandwich the plexi in the middle, more stability and it would look better from the inside.
Agree. It looks so unfinished on the inside. That would drive me crazy to see all the screws and the actual cut plexi glass.

end result looked amazing! but also incredibly unstable by how they are attached to the wall! one accidental trip or bump up against that plexi wall and it's over 😱
it was exactly what I was thinking....
They attached L brackets at the top to keep it fixed to the wall and screwed together in the corner!
@@tiarobinson8624 that's clearly not enough.... the lower part is not attached anywhere... and this is not glass, so no rigidity either.... someone fall in to it, every thing would follow and break
@@purpleway1713 yeah you're spot on. i was so impressed with how it looked visually and then I was like hold on... are they seriously only going to anchor it in 1 spot at the very top and not even into the studs??? into the drywall??? this would ideally have to be screwed into the floor but I imagine wendy is renting.

I agree and still think it needs to be fixed to the floor. All it would take is Wendy to lose her balance one time and lean against it and it would all come crashing down. 😥
They did a video about a year later with an update in it, and it still up, it’s still fine and actually she has a desk in that area now too
