Spaceship Earth received a new lighting package for "The World's Most Magical Celebration", a permanent installation that will last longer than the 18-month event. This is a combination of Jeff's video and Disney b-roll of the beautiful light show from the first night (September 29th, 2021) along with a monorail passing by, which also has new lighting. The 50th Anniversary of Walt Disney World kicks off on October 1st, 2021!

Gotta say, Disney ya done good on this one! FINALLY! Music is Epcot "appropriate" and the lights are classy and NOT a projection for a change. It's reminiscent of the beautiful (former) Castle lights and Wishes show at the MK - very relaxing. LOVE IT!

Wow. Im amazed that this is the only one of the four beacon themes that has actual recognizable music. Not even Magic Kingdom's has a quick musical quote like "when you wish upon a star" or Animal Kingdom with something from Lion King. Disney really knows what the fans want. If I'm correct Im hearing the 2007 Spaceship Earth Theme 0:06, part of the 1994 Spaceship Earth Theme 1:13 and the Epcot Legacy Theme 1:01 What a great surprise.

When I first saw Epcot's Spaceship earth...(1980s) I nearly p'd my pants! It was so spectacular just sitting in the middle of things. And, when the laser show happened at night, I had to wonder how on earth DISNEY had the forethought to imagine this...and what an ICON it would become for them. Although its been years since I've been back, I appreciate videos like this that show us how they keep improving and re-Imagineering it.

The person in charge of the entry plaza and the SSE lighting loves Epcot, the person in charge of Harmonious not so much, this is pretty awesome and a real incredible upgrade or in Disney terms plussing!
