Tripp Halstead passed away today, March 15, 2018. My heart is broken. My comfort lies in the fact that he is no longer in pain and is whole in the presence of our Heavenly Father. Fly high little guy!
I’m devastated to hear. I’m no longer on fb but used to follow on there. So when this popped up on my recommended viewing I was happy to think I could follow on here then I saw the comments! I want to cry. May that sweet sweet boy Rest In Peace! What ultimately took him?
I remember seeing his story on FB when it happened. I prayed for him. He is a handsome young man and you are an amazing mom. Thank God you found your strength so you could go on with life as it is. My hat off to you and your husband.
She sure is, and so is her wonderful son - can certainly see where he got his happy, fun loving personality from. Bless him, hope he will continue to improve each day. Can definitely see that he is following what people say to him and trying his absolute hardest to respond with his eyes.
Hey everybody, english isn't my first language and I'm trying to make it better... Does she have and accent? Cause I kinda hear a difference between the two of em talking.... Just curiosity. Thanks in advance :)
My father suffered a traumatic brain injury at the age of 37 years and was left in a vegetative state. He lived in a shell that he was trapped inside for 20 years. He passed away at 57 years old from a heart attack. My heart breaks for Tripps parents as I know how difficult it is to have the person physically with you but you have lost the actual person they are. When people with a TBI pass, you have lost that person twice. RIP Tripp 💜
My friend's dad has Alzheimer's now. It's very difficult for her mother and family, especially when she can remember how he was like before his diagnosis. She has mild CP, drives a car-or truck-is married with a son and 3 college degrees-but can't find a job. But boy, has she tried!
This made me cry so hard... She is such an amazing mommy and he is such a sweet little man. I cannot even fathom what she went through losing such a vibrant little boy, but he is still such a miracle.
Stan The man she did lose him, in a sense. He will never be the same. Of course it is miraculous he is still alive and it is still him in physical form. He just will live a totally different life.
RK800 CONNER the boy he would have been if not for the accident died. But Tripp is still here. Such a beautiful boy with that red hair! He did smile since the accident!
If I remember correctly he actually was making progress and able to give thumbs up and respond a bit to people, but then had a setback due to an infection and lost that progress. His parents are such strong people. Their story has touched people's lives around the world. RIP, beautiful Tripp.
@@ryanmeenk2144 Than CAN be what happens when you HAVE to put your child in daycare because nobody can survive off of one income anymore, and stay at home moms are going extinct.
Tripp was a typical 2 year old when this accident occurred 5 years ago. His Mom happily shared that he was "Extremely chatty and loved the movie Cars." Although he didn't smile in this particular interview Tripp's family has a blog on Facebook named "Tripp Halstead Updates" where he often shows emotions in a variety of ways.
Special Books by Special Kids My son is severely austic. I would love for you to meet my very special little guy one day. I love your video's!!! Keep it up brother!!👍👍👍👏👏
Special Books by Special Kids As someone that comes from having Cerebral Palsy, I think what you do is amazing. I wish people like you would have more compassion with others. Thank you. And you're really cute too.🤗❤💯
I saw the old footage and Tripp was definitely a brilliant boy and still is. I sincerely wish with all my love that he does get better with restoration. This boy has touched my heart and I want nothing but the best for him. He's a handsome, and sweet 7 year old boy. I'm so happy to hear that he is still cheery at times and you can tell that he tries so hard to engage.. All 7 year olds should be able to caper, to romp, to jitter, to hop, to leap, to roll, to giggle, to chatter, to banter, to wiggle, to run, and to play and all the other things that 7 year olds do. It must be painful for him too, because he isn't able to do those things that he sees his 7 year old counterparts doing. I wish nothing but the best for Tripp and his family on their way to recovery and restoration.
I agree, it spread love and acceptance,, He is so genuine in what he does and you can just feel the love he has for everyone he has on his channel.. so refreshing,, especially now days, where people seem to be more and more judgmental and hateful towards others, especially those with disabilities.
It is so much harder when a disability comes later, and you've known what the child was like before an accident (or disease, or what have you), but you all are so positive and loving and wonderful. I am so happy for Tripp that he has such a lovely family
I don't know about that? I think each is equally hard. My son is non verbal, blind, in a wheelchair and nappies at 13 and he was born that way. So he has never seen the world, never seen people, never spoken to anyone, or had any type of verbal communication. I think if he'd had some understanding before hand it may be would have been easier for him to have some type of understanding of the world around us.
Having lost my son with Down Syndrome who had many health issues throughout his life - I admire and understand these parents! They - and YOU - are amazing human beings.
Juste here unfortunately, checked thirty videos to see and comment sections disabled everywhere. Its a shame its because this is revolutionary and show that together we can do things and govs are useless. And maybe coz this channel dont sell themselves too thats punishment.
I think it's incredible that despite his hardships, he shows people that's he's aware and he's listening. Just watching him slowly blink his eyes when you talk to him makes me think he's a very kind and thoughtful person.
His mother is truly one of the most inspirational, caring and selfless humans I've had the blessing to experience her amazing soul she brings to this world. I send her, Tripp and her family all the blessings in the world. I pray for the grace of god to bless them with more than they can imagine. What an amazing lesson I learned from watching this video. Thank you so much for sharing with us, there are truly such amazing mothers in this world and she is at the top of that bunch.
I'm happy he has such a loving mother to take care of him. She really cares about him. I hope he gradually gets better and better and keeps on smiling every day.
I’m totally devastated that Tripp passed away!!! The only thing that makes me feel better is knowing he is in heaven and now has no injuries!!! Go run and play little man you’re free and healthy!!! Rest In Peace sweet little boy❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Awww it's really sweet how they hide when they're down just so they stay positive for him 😊 It must've been hard to have something like that happen to your child, but I'm really glad they've made the most of the situation! ❤
He looked like he didn’t even have enough energy to blink his eyes, but the expression in his eyes were interactive. Amazing parents! Their attitude surely helped make things easier for Tripp. He remained so cute and loveable.
I have followed Tripp's journey since he was first injured. His Facebook page is a daily joyful reminder as we see Tripp grow and changed and come more alive each day. Tripp has improved so much since his accident and he truly has the best parents. Such a wonderful family.
Lovely, just lovely! Amazing to see the subtle change in Tripp's expression when his Mum spoke about smiling. His face smiled even though his mouth didn't! Bless his sweet soul.
Chris and Alyssa I am in awe of your wonderful videos. Thank you for giving a dignified opportunity to people who are living with disabilities to introduce themselves and to show that being different isn’t a negative quality. I have been moved by the love and joy that shines through each interview even when the individual or families concerned have extremely difficult prognoses. God bless you.
I started following Tripp's story the minute after it broke on the news. It tore me up when the announcement came in he had passed away. You can forever run and play in your Heavenly playground buddy, rest on little angel.
Wonderful channel. I'm autistic with ADHD, PTSD, childhood lead poisoning, major depressive, possible bipolar, and I can't walk well, and I have a ten and a half inch long, 1 inch deep scar on my forearm from a suicide attempt, but this channel shows that even IIIIII still have a lot to be thankful for.
Watching the video was very inspiring to see how wonderful Tripp and his family were, but I was saddened to learn afterward that Tripp had passed away. However hard that must have been for Tripp's family, know that through this video that Tripp continues to inspire others even unto death and into eternity. Thank you so much. We love you all.
J Mizzy Have you ever heard of karma? I really hope you go through something as horrific as this amazing family has had to deal with. But seeing all of your videos made me enjoy life a little bit more every video i see. I have to be so dang thankfull that im healthy and alive. Wow you are one of the most Strongest woman I have ever seen. I would not be able to ever face the traumatic event of ever losing my son. To where he's just trapped in his own body. Thank God he's still in there! But I would definitely lose my mind 100%. Tripp is soo lucky to have such a strong loving mother and family that's for sure!! You you all are soo very lucky to be blessed with such an amazing KID!! He is absolutely just an adorable handsome little guy. I can't have children myself unfortunately. So I believe that every child is a precious beautiful gift from God. My God Bless you and your Family. 💝🌹✨👼
Sometimes life sucks and terrible things happen, but it's definitely a blessing to be where you are right now :) Stay positive, think of what you have gained from the tragedy: the strength and perspectives as well as the love that has grown through the hardship. I really hope you all will live well and happy

Finally, your positive attitude about life, despite hardships, is amazing which is why you have more than 1 million subscribers. Your child's injury ended up most likely helping countless other families through their own difficulties. I have much respect for Tripp and his parents. ❤

I don’t understand how anyone could judge these wonderful parents! The love for our children is like no other! God bless your amazing family! 🙏🏻
I FINALLY HAVE WATCHED A VIDOE I CAN COMMENT ON!! I just found you guys and I’m obsessed with your channel and I just wanted to say I’m so happy this channel exists and for what you’re doing for everyone getting their story out. You’ve empowered me and I’ve learned a lot.

These are some of the most devoted and caring positive parents. I admire their strength. Rest in Peace Tripp
Lots of Love and prayers to the family.
Thanks for everything you do. God bless
Sometimes life sucks and terrible things happen, but it's definitely a blessing to be where you are right now :) Stay positive, think of what you have gained from the tragedy: the strength and perspectives as well as the love that has grown through the hardship. I really hope you all will live well and happy

I am laying here with my 9month old son. In the dark and I have watched 10-15 videos. THIS video put me to tears... When she was saying about how she wonders what life would have been. It just tore me apart, I feel for this beautiful mother and her son. I could not imagine this happening to my son or my daughter. Much love

How is taking the comments thread taking *their* voice away? Their voices come through on the videos, no?

I bet that there is so much more going on in Tripp's world that he is able to show.
Just came across this today. First I am very sorry about your huge loss. He was a beautiful child and you will get him back one day. Finally, your positive attitude about life, despite hardships, is amazing which is why you have more than 1 million subscribers. Your child's injury ended up most likely helping countless other families through their own difficulties. I have much respect for Tripp and his parents. ❤
Trip lives a few hours away from me and I've followed his story ever since his accident. It's cool to see you visit him!
Tripp is so precious and amazing. You can tell he's got the strong will to fight hard everyday, and Mom, you're so amazing, and I love y'all's attitude about keeping everything in Tripp's world positive no matter what. That is dedication, and I think y'all are an amazing family. Be strong, and stay strong together.
