Hey I had an idea for a video. You say you watch mainly TYT. I've noticed of all the online left news sources, its them that gets the most shit. I've watched them for years and while they're not my favorite, I don't see why they have this stigma attached to them. They all seem genuine and honest and even likeable the more you watch them. There's a part of me that feels bad for him, but like, only to an extent, since a lot of that he brought on himself. And it's like, I could feel for him to be barred from something he clearly loved, but it was also obvious that happened to him because his choices.

He promised his loyal fans a month of no sub begging when he hit 1 million and he never once stopped shilling and even went harder. I was a The quartering subber when he was at 30k subs.
How it started: wholesome claw machine fun with your wife and friends. How it's going: Alone, pissing in your basement while your wife and friends are out having Pizza without you.
Unfortunately, hateful toxic content will always be pushed to the top by the algorithm. It's actually crazy how popular they are compared to progressive content.
I think the situation is getting better. Either that or I'm biased cause I watch lot of progressive content. I will admit though that I do get that odd reccomendation of conservative channels once in a while.

I think the worst part of the anti sjw community is that it sometimes overshadow actual criticisms. Actual criticisms for The Last Jedi, TLOU2 and Ghostbusters sometimes get swept aside due to the amount of anti sjws focusing their criticism on things that aren’t necessary and sometimes sexist/racist/homophobic/etc. The best example would be James Rolfe’s video on Ghostbusters (2016) which was labeled as sexist due to the amount of criticism on how women are ruining it even though the his video wasn’t anything about women but actual criticism
One of the reasons I quit talking about Star Trek. I had a lot of problems, particularly with the first season of DIS. One of my biggest issues was how right-wing the show was. The anti-sjws, only able to think in terms of identity politics, couldn't understand this. And, in the long run, I didn't want to help them pile on. If you're standing in the park screaming with the nazis, it doesn't matter that you're yelling about local zoning laws. You're still adding to their number and helping their cause.

I'm with you - I didn't enjoy the latest SW movies or Star Trek Discovery at all, but it's really difficult to express this in a way that doesn't get me quickly lumped in with really awful, disgusting people. The quartering actually shielded me from the antisjw pipeline back in the day. Any time I saw a video by him on a topic I myself had feelings on I was massively put off by the arguments because of his stilted, obnoxious delivery and complete lack of self awareness. Always found it incredibly cringe and I eventually realised it was because the arguments these people come up often essentially relied on sexist preconceptions.
I think mostly the point is movies like the new star wars is really, really terrible movie making. Then they were hoping to be above criticism, "buy or die" because they virtue signaled. From a business standpoint, it would be great, if you could eliminate customer choice. Buy the new iphone or be declared an enemy of the state for not buying a virtue signal product. I'm happy that I didn't fall down the alt right pipeline while I was younger, I used to watch The Amazing Atheist, Ben shapiro and anti-SJW comps. I didn't have friends, didn't talk to people at school and was getting more & more political, and I'm so glad I was able to stop before I went deeper. Seeing these Anti-SJW, far right enabling pricks still exist gets me so frustrated, I'm so glad that The Amazing Atheist, at the very least had gotten better.
I wish I was as lucky as you, I did have friends tho but spending a month or two in it literally made me absolutely insane. Shoeonhead kinda wrecked me along with that Red Pill documentary. Thankfully one of my friends slapped me a reality. Initially I literally was just pretending to be more feminist and communist in front of them, but over time I was able to regain those ideals and I’m so glad that my friend was able to pull me out. His content did make me angrier and outraged at some of the supposed injustices he was bringing attention to. It wasn't until I asked myself the questions "Holy crap this is a huge injustice, why is nobody else talking about this????". And that's when I did my own research and I started to realize how full of crap he is. But it wasn't until he started posting daily videos about Brie Larson that I finally came to realize what he was doing and unsubscribed. I mean, 1-3 videos I get it, you don't like Brie Larson. But 50+ videos? That's either psycho obsessive, or clearly catering to a crowd that I can't relate to, ffs. He also liked to say "wahmen" a lot, seemed to be a thing with the anti sjw crowd at the time. It's hard to take someone seriously if they just can't bring themselves to say the word properly.

I used to watch Jeremy before he was radicalized. It all happened in 2016. He was always edgy LIGHT but then he took a hard turn to the right in 2016. All his cards openings became political rants.
I used to watch him back in 2019 I used to agree alot with his takes. But then he went on the Brie Larson rants and I also followed Geek and Gamers. They also started to go down the rabbit hole with woke star wars and angry at LOFU part 2. I think you can be a critic and find faults in media. But the way these channels operated I realized all they did was make me angry. They just made me feel like I should be mad at the "wokeified media" I loved. But I realized that when I watched Dunkey's take on the LOFU part 2 I realized how wrong I was. That the game actually seems to be alot deeper and interesting then I gave credit. And yeah the new star wars movies are "bad" but its not because Disney is "super woke" (which they aren't they jist pretend to be) it was just bad writing really. I think late 2019 I unsubscribed from them both and never looked back.

To justify their worldview outside of any rationality, reason, and consideration of diverse perspectives. It’s not that they’re being manipulated or radicalized, they want to feel that their right about their beliefs to give meaning to their otherwise existence, even at the expense of free will.

The right is and always has been united under a common cause - preserve the status quo (or, sometimes, go back to an earlier, usually mythical, status quo). On the other hand, the left is not united at all, and probably never will be. In the left, we can't even agree on some of the most fundamental political values. The only thing that seems to unite us is that we want something different than what we currently have, but where we go next seems to still be an open question.

Same way a devout Catholic can be a socialist, it's about policy. Depending on what we are using to determine "right" and "left" (economics, social theories or actual practice amongst others), Stalin can easily be considered "right wing" considering he heavily centralized the Soviet Union, built a cult of personality, purged minorities and all religions and censored or erased his critics. He was also pretty conservative on his views on women. The only thing that was "left wing" about him may have been his economic policies, but outside of that, he would probably agree with most "right wingers". In fact, he was praised by Hitler and Mussolini before their invasion. But "right" and "left" don't really mean much and can't be taken too seriously.

He changed the name when he stopped doing magic content and the quartering refers to the medieval execution method, rather than Magic:the Gathering, this was to be Magic:the Quartering where Jeremy would singlehandedly execute the game and leave nothing but scorched earth.
I used to watch The Quartering for his video game news and takes, but eventually the toxic nature of his political views just completely took over his channel. This was around the time he was trying to plug a new project/channel of his that was supposed to be “just news, free of politics” according to him. I was like “Really man? You’re turning your channel that was supposed to be video game news into politics and I’m supposed to believe that’s not gonna happen again?” Immediately unsubbed and never looked back.

I use to watch his videos all the time, and when i would see what he was bitching about I would always think to myself “ wow, people must be pretty upset about this being woke” or “ wow they’re doing a shitty job at making people happy being woke” then when I stopped watching his videos I realize it’s only him that’s bitching about it. He’s a master manipulator at making you hate things, making you believe there’s a problem. Hate all women in movies, hate all gays in movies, hate all things woke, any woke means bad. Of course I didn’t think all these things before or after but he does such a good job at being “not” alt right with clearly being alt right just not out right saying racist things in fact I thought he was in the middle with views, then when people called him out he plays the victim card and “ I’m not racist I just have different views, how dare you call out my views!!!” and when looking back on it, it’s scary how easy I was being manipulated into hating instead of loving. I also genuinely feel really bad for the guy too, he seemed such a nice guy when he did claw machine videos, someone so innocent making content for people to enjoy and learn techniques to be squashed with hate and awful views even the point where you harass people for different views, seems pretty ironic for someone who believes in all views being heard.

I think most of these guys started out with relatively benign niche channels, I remember Sargon of Akkad was basically a history channel. No Bullshit was trying to do some weird knockoff of cinema sins. Then they realised there was way more money to be made being anti-left, anti-SJW grifters. In a weird way I can't fault them for being enterprising. I think the worst part of the anti sjw community is that it sometimes overshadow actual criticisms. Actual criticisms for The Last Jedi, TLOU2 and Ghostbusters sometimes get swept aside due to the amount of anti sjws focusing their criticism on things that aren’t necessary and sometimes sexist/racist/homophobic/etc. The best example would be James Rolfe’s video on Ghostbusters (2016) which was labeled as sexist due to the amount of criticism on how women are ruining it even though the his video wasn’t anything about women but actual criticism
One of the reasons I quit talking about Star Trek. I had a lot of problems, particularly with the first season of DIS. One of my biggest issues was how right-wing the show was. The anti-sjws, only able to think in terms of identity politics, couldn't understand this. And, in the long run, I didn't want to help them pile on. If you're standing in the park screaming with the nazis, it doesn't matter that you're yelling about local zoning laws. You're still adding to their number and helping their cause.

The quartering actually shielded me from the antisjw pipeline back in the day. Any time I saw a video by him on a topic I myself had feelings on I was massively put off by the arguments because of his stilted, obnoxious delivery and complete lack of self awareness. I'm happy that I didn't fall down the alt right pipeline while I was younger, I used to watch The Amazing Atheist, Ben shapiro and anti-SJW comps. I didn't have friends, didn't talk to people at school and was getting more & more political, and I'm so glad I was able to stop before I went deeper. Seeing these Anti-SJW, far right enabling pricks still exist gets me so frustrated, I'm so glad that The Amazing Atheist, at the very least had gotten better.

Great content, thanks for bringing attention to this. I can attest to the dangers of that rabbit hole. I had subscribed to quartering for a couple months. His content did make me angrier and outraged at some of the supposed injustices he was bringing attention to. It wasn't until I asked myself the questions "Holy crap this is a huge injustice, why is nobody else talking about this????". And that's when I did my own research and I started to realize how full of crap he is. But it wasn't until he started posting daily videos about Brie Larson that I finally came to realize what he was doing and unsubscribed. I mean, 1-3 videos I get it, you don't like Brie Larson. But 50+ videos? That's either psycho obsessive, or clearly catering to a crowd that I can't relate to, ffs. He also liked to say "wahmen" a lot, seemed to be a thing with the anti sjw crowd at the time. It's hard to take someone seriously if they just can't bring themselves to say the word properly.

I used to watch Jeremy before he was radicalized. It all happened in 2016. He was always edgy LIGHT but then he took a hard turn to the right in 2016. All his cards openings became political rants.
I used to watch him back in 2019 I used to agree alot with his takes. But then he went on the Brie Larson rants and I also followed Geek and Gamers. They also started to go down the rabbit hole with woke star wars and angry at LOFU part 2. I think you can be a critic and find faults in media. But the way these channels operated I realized all they did was make me angry. They just made me feel like I should be mad at the "wokeified media" I loved. But I realized that when I watched Dunkey's take on the LOFU part 2 I realized how wrong I was. That the game actually seems to be alot deeper and interesting then I gave credit. And yeah the new star wars movies are "bad" but its not because Disney is "super woke" (which they aren't they jist pretend to be) it was just bad writing really. I think late 2019 I unsubscribed from them both and never looked back.

This was around the time he was trying to plug a new project/channel of his that was supposed to be “just news, free of politics” according to him. I was like “Really man?
