So many talented guitarists in Japan and almost nobody in the west knows about them. Like everyone here in the states is crediting Tim Henson with starting this percussive tapping style when Japanese musicians have been doing it for twenty years. Not saying Tim isn’t talented. Just saying Japan has some amazing musicians.

Hello, well I ve been lucky enough already to see Marty play in Anaheim during Namm at the house of blues... so, hoping to randomly head into a bar in Tokyo at the end of January and see him play with Ichika would maybe be a bit to much 😅... if anyone could recommend nice live music venues that would be so kind 😉
Marty’s tone is just so far above master level. I can always tell his bends and vibrato. Dang he’s awesome.

Tim Henson isn't that heavy on tapping, are you just describing math rock guitar players?
Tim has a lot of influences. I like how his platform with Polyphia is getting more people into this style.
