This fucking rocks. Marty is so unique, can't really compare him to anybody. and as a solo artist, his songs and interpretations don't feel like other "metal guitar" albums, it feels musically more like a cello or violin virtuoso interpreting melodies and pushing the instrument further in an artistic way and not just in a technical way. His playing is so emotional energetic and fun, just love Marty! Also this band is brilliant!
Marty says he's not good with words before giving a better speech in Japanese than I've ever heard a native English speaking musician give in their own language lol
His name is Naoki Morioka... He has a lot of covers in Insta Most of those are better than the actual songs.. Very clean player... He also has a fantastic version of Chopin Fantasy Etude on YT
Right hand technique insane with the string skipping, shuffle rhythms. 4:25. Specifically, the three notes descending to lead in to the next measure, precisely at 4:48. Chef's kiss
He used to write a lot of video game music.. For Sonic (Black Knight) Bravely Default Monster Hunter... There are videos of him performing with these bands ig
A friend visited me today just as Saturation point was on. He said hi and then paused for almost a minute in fascination :) This guy. I mean.... You just want to hug him and say thanks for everything.
Reminds me alot of Aaron Marshall from intervals. Obviously Marty is an og but they both don’t just write music just to shed, they play catchy melodies to the fill the same need vocals would have.
His early stuff with Jason Becker was very good. Their styles blended so well and there was unexpected chords going on too. These days I don't like the melodies and some of the incessant noodlings.
The melodies are not too impressive because it never ventures anywhere outside its chordal movement very much except the odd chromaticism's. The chords are the usual suspects and I would expect a fair bit more with some modal mixing at least. The drums are too noisy and it aint the tightest package. I know this could of been much better and not the circle of fifths predictable stuff. Its like having hotdogs without the condiments and a flat coke instead of root beer. There is the great exception with the Crowded House song ''Dream Its Over'' which is a beautiful song indeed and played beautifully but then Marty ruined that part.
Esta viviendo en Japón,y los chicos que tocan con el son de allá,habla el idioma como nadie, excelente eso es tener estilo vanguardista,un músico de ese nivel, son pocos, pasan por Japón,solo eso, Congratuletion 💪
What an amazing concert. Marty is an absolute legend. He is the sole reason I started playing guitar many years ago when he was in megadeth! Even bought myself a jackson kelly like him as my first guitar. :) I absolutely adore marty's guitar playing and his band. Didn't expect to hear such wise words at a concert, amazing stuff Marty. Hopefully one day I can have 10% of your incredible talent.
What a great performance! It's not only about music, it was a great deal of positive energy, wisdom and friendship among the band members. I'm looking forward to seeing them one day in my country! If they don't come I will see them in Japan, somewhere in the future :)
Marty is so unique ! How is it possible to be so creative, so melodic since i discovered his collab with Jason Becker, then with Megadeth and twenty years later always so amazing. This guy is a pure genius, his notes touch the souls. It seems simple but whouaou completely unplayable as he play. Definitively my favorite metal guitarist.
Really great Concert! Thanks a lot! And i was like WTF!?! do my ears realize when they played the intro song of the anime Demon Slayer at 15:40, awesome!
So cool to see this! When the album dropped I remember thinking to myself "Will they play this stuff live?" Marty is such a good live player! The rest of the band sounds great too!
He was able to pull of Meathook and Last Lament live. Not to mention, Polyrhythm.... That was just insane... I just hope he would play old songs like Valley of Eternity and Evil Thrill
Okay, please down take me too literally here. I came here for Marty Friedman, but the longer I watch this MASSIVE collection of talent and skill on the stage (and on the screen from Brazil) the more I keep watching the drummer. His raw energy and obvious joy reminds me of Taylor Hawkins - the flying blonde hair just reinforces the image. Yeah, I know - completely different kind of music, and owing to that, CHARGEEEEE is probably more technically proficient. But I still think he and Taylor would have had a blast in a drum-off. Oh, and Long Live JASON BECKER!
this is a very good band - evryone is quite talented (drummer and guitar players are machines!), the songs have melody, what's not to love? bravo marty! you're doing good^^
Simplemente exquisito, me alegra demasiado ver a Marty haciendo lo que el más quiere con libertad, aunque a muchos todavía nos gustaría verlo de vuelta en magadeth
Great show.. you can tell Marty would like the crowd to be a bit more into it with louder input and he's always prompting for interaction which is so fun to watch.
.. Marty was fascinated by Japanese way, back when he was in Megadeth. Mustaine would "joke" that whenever they touched down in Japan (while touring), Marty would called on one or the other of his Japanese contacts/acquaintants and spoke with 'em in fluent Japanese. So, be had that Japanese thing since long back👍. Keep on Rocking, Marty 🎸🤘😍...
The Drummer is who I cant stop looking at! He looks like he's having the time of his life!
dude Marty been rocking the same sleeveless flannel for 30+ years what a legend
It's so great to see Marty thriving and living his best life in Japan.

Marty is Marty, a living legend…but the other guys are so freaking good!
Yes who is that Japanese man on 2nd guitar?
hip dudes
His band's are always great! A living legend that all of these awesome musicians want to play with.

Marty says he's not good with words before giving a better speech in Japanese than I've ever heard a native English speaking musician give in their own language lol
Dude just casually does some stand-up comedy in japanese and then some well put nice words.
I had the exact same thought. He seems like a really humble, grounded guy.
He's immensely talented and has graciously left his ego at the venue door . Great band!!
Marty is one of those dudes when even if I've never heard the song within 3 seconds I know it's him
Didn't know he played for Megadeth until years of listening to Cacophony, then listened to Youthanasia and heard that familiar guitar sound lol
personally I think He's probably 1of the most unique players around
Absolutely. Very few guitar players I'd recognise like that. Steve Vai, Malmsteen.
He's too humble when he claims not to be among the superstars
@@poohead8022 Him and Chris Poland are so easily recognizable, funny how they've both been in Megadeth.
Guy on guitar next to Marty is a beast too 😦 His attack on the guitar is like it owes him some money or something 😳
His name is Naoki Morioka...
He has a lot of covers in Insta

@@akidk1499 thanks bro
i think the drum set owes the drummer a fortune too
15:40 Jesus Christ Marty you absolute legend. 🔥
That bassist is a MONSTER. Great ears and lines!
Right hand technique insane with the string skipping, shuffle rhythms. 4:25. Specifically, the three notes descending to lead in to the next measure, precisely at 4:48. Chef's kiss
I love the idea that music brings us all together, without hate and without rancor. This is as it should be.
Marty must be a Deity or something because the guy has not aged in 20 years. Its great too see him achieve Wide Mainstream popularity in Japan.
It helps Marty was in his teens back in the 80's.
I feel like im being transported into a video game with a real sense of excitement in this piece. My new favorite instrumentalist.
He used to write a lot of video game music..
For Sonic (Black Knight)
Bravely Default
Monster Hunter...
There are videos of him performing with these bands ig
Marty has the most melodic vibrato of all guitarists. He puts so much emotion in each bend, you cant practice that.
of all the guitarists i've known, marty is by far the most humble imo. his melodic sense is superb! much respect to marty!!
Marty is of course insanely good by t the drummer dude is fricking awesome!
Who is he ?????!!!
Marty's ability to play without looking at the fretboard is scary
No he should be able to do that.
A friend visited me today just as Saturation point was on. He said hi and then paused for almost a minute in fascination :) This guy. I mean.... You just want to hug him and say thanks for everything.
Marty has evolved into a vocalist who can sing with his guitar
Yeah! Like Paul Gilbert!
Reminds me alot of Aaron Marshall from intervals. Obviously Marty is an og but they both don’t just write music just to shed, they play catchy melodies to the fill the same need vocals would have.
Look up Derek Trucks with BBKing if u want singin guitar
Completely agree!!
CHARGEEEEEE…さんかっけぇ、、、
Marty is Incredible! Huge Fan now!
Great person, on Rick Beato interview .
Never actually listened to him until recently
and I'm just blown away.

54:25 For a Friend. I love you Marty!
Big fan of Marty's music, got his CD "Scenes" back in the early 90s and has been one my favorite guitar soloist ever since.
Most melodic player in all of metal
Agree

@@AlejandroCastillo-bw5zr But it's true. His early work with Becker and his own albums back then were pretty good. He also had a unique style.

The drummer is from another planet.
Chargeee on the drums was absolutely insane.... what I would give to know a drummer like that in my area...
Yeah he is pretty cool for sure.

This drummer is fuckin awesome for sure...damn
Morioka's parts in Yuki no Hana are just amazing...

The best Marty!yeah!
This is so inspiring on every level. Every second is so amazing. The melodies, the choices of notes, everything. The music is so picturesque.
Good for Marty. He plays the guitar beautifully. He made his name in Megadeth and moved to Japan and is thriving. How cool is that.
負けないでを引くとき、心が動きます。
Absolutely brilliant. Love Marty and his talent! What a unique spirit and inspiration!
One of the best guitarists ever. His solos on Rust in Peace are so fucking sick.
i was able to watch Marty with Naoki here in Manila before. damn, what an epic concert
I have so much love for Marty's chops and commitment to his vision.
