Actually Ford, Toyota and VW all remanufacture parts. This has been around for a few decades now. Previously it just took place at smaller shops.

Remanufacturing has been a thing for a long time but it's sometimes done small shops. It's neat for a manufacturer to do it.
They have been doing this in a reman factory Flen in Central Sweden since at least 1989... UA-cam didn't exist then🤔
Remanufacturing started actually 1961. I work at Volvo Flen site and I started 1987 :)
