DAMN THAT'S NICE I GREW UP ON A 1985 CAN-AM 175 BUILT what a BEAST , I FOUND A 1980 CAN-AM 400 dirt bike engine with full exhaust with it , need to build something lol
Great looking bike. I had this 175. Im grateful I still have photos. One of the best looking bikes ever.
I’d have to leave it in the museum, because I couldn’t resist to ride it. That would be sad to mess anything up on this piece. Never had one, never got to ride one, but it’s still beautiful!
How do you not just love SR and crew? I would give anything to be young and healthy enough to work for/with these guys!

Kaplan, my friend, I have been checking daily for more videos. So nice to see. Ironically, my dad and I spent the day going over my 1980 can am mx6 400B. We are also building a 1980 Can Am Qualifier 250. Thank you again. Nice bike. Happy to be able to see your content here in Nova Scotia. I bought a new 2024 txt250gp gasgas trials bike. OMG , I had the 1975 250MX2 and lent it to my cousin and was stolen from his garage in 1988. Was such a great monster to ride. Might have to see this one and give it a home!

I love those Can-Am's with their fast Bonbardier engines. I was unaware they existed, before I started watching your channels . I've watched your videos on other ones before. Good looking bikes, and I love their graphics.

A very close friend of our family had the same bike back then. Sadly he passed away too soon at the age of 18! RIP Barton!
The Up Pipe was a No Brainer for me, I grew up riding bike from the late 80'-90's! My Dad bought an old 400 Suzuki widow maker when I was 15, got it running and it Smoked my 84" Can- Am MX 250 dirt bike!! Back to the point, the under frame Exhaust looked dumb to me at 15yrs Old! Like what happens if You Case a jump?! 😮😱🤯

My buddy had a 250 Can Am, torque monster. My brother in law has a 360? rotting away in his shed. Complete orange tank and plastics with cantalever shocks and long travel forks. Maybe I'll buy it and restore it ......

This man has one of the best jobs I've seen. I bet he doesn't even consider what he does, a job. As I putt around on my XR650L I remember back to some of these great machines and I've seen a few of them on this channel recently. Can Am, Hodaka, Ossa, Bultaco, Maico, CZ, Montesa, Harley Davidson Baja 100 (won't mention the other Eyetalian made 2 strokes)and so many more to remember. Truly an outstanding channel! I was a Harley mechanic for a bunch of years and was there when Willie G took back over from AMF. Try to find an original Harley Sturgis I uncrated, set up and rode one of the first ones in Pennsylvania.

The 1977 had 30 hp at I believe was 3,500 RPM.
Whereas the 1977 250 had 32 HP @3,000 RPM.
The slogan was The 1977 Can -Am 175 MX-3 that thinks it is a 250!

I had a 175175 mx2. No where near as clean as that one. Damn fast with vibrations to match. Sold it early in covid.wish I kept it now
