Thank you for this Colorado series. The fish and the scenery were magnificent. It lifted this old fly fisher’s heart not only to see the high country once again, but to witness the joy you all experienced there. Well done - and thank you!
A most beautiful video. Quite a dream indeed. A great priviledge being able to behold those marvellous red colored trout ocurring un North America. The solitude and beauty of the landscape are great. And a nice rain at the end of the fishing trip...just perfect! You don't know how lucky you are!!!
Awesome video! Alpine lakes can be tricky if you're not use to fishing them! Amazing colors on those fish. I'm glad you boys enjoyed your Colorado trip!
Fantastic! So glad you guys got away from the crowds and got to experience some remote alpine lake fishing. I haven’t done a lot of this type fishing in my life but like you mentioned in your video it is an experience we will never forget. So glad you got to do this.
Spectacular one guys. Unbelievable beautiful fish and the awesome scenery! Wow, just wow! I thoroughly enjoyed that one. Tight lines and keep the videos coming.
Thanks for sharing your experiences in this beautiful part of the world and familiarising those of us on the other side of the pond with new and unfamiliar species, cutthroats and greenback cutthroats. Your vids are the best of their kind. Greetings from Prague, Czech Republic.
Wow. What a catch and being able to take a trip like this and yeah you truly have to prep for a trip like that. You are so lucky to be able to do a trip like this. Congrats.
Wow what a video man!!! Keep the awesome content coming, what a crazy lake to fish, must be so different fishing them lakes in comparison to moving trout streams. Tight lines man and really look forward to the next one🎣🐟💦💯
Congratulations on that huge Colorado cuttie...Those wild trout are picky and smart...hahaa! (P.S. Hope you guys didn't get caught in that crazy snow storm/blizzard). All you guys ..what a joy to watch your joy !! Congrats!!
Even a blind fish finds a fly occasionally :) Awesome stuff man. That lake back drop is just unreal. Can't imagine sight fishing for them, and the patience needed for them to come to the fly, completely take, etc. I know thats a whole other ball game and super hard, compared to fishing on a stream and getting right drift. Just an unreal cutties and congrats on the big bucket list fish. The thing that gets me is all the wind. Is that normal, because of elevation, and being down in that canyon? If so, that makes it super tough too! Great video my guy. Love the series!
Yeah I'd assume that's pretty normal. I mean we were over 12k feet in elevation and there was no trees or vegetation up that high to stop the wind. I'm sure some days there is no wind but I bet most of the time there is. Thanks for watching Mike! Glad you liked the series.
Beautiful cutty. I believe I read you should say."God save the queen" before you set the hook on a cutty. I have caught them without doing this. ...but apparently they are naturally slower on the take.
NICE FISH GUYS😁👍....i love the Rockies just for this reason....where else you gonna catch these?🤷♂️ Sorry, I haven't commented on all your vids....I've been watching em thru my ps4 and they don't have the option to comment (at least, I haven't found it yet 🙄)...anyways, thanks for the SWEET series...seriously, nicely done 🙂👍.....lookin forward ta the next one boys...✌😎.....OH, really quick, just a thought, camp next to the place ya have ta hike to....again, just a thought....PEACE✌😎
I thought the trout was gonne, it doesnt look like it was in the net, and your expression of celebration I thought it was despare, I paused the vid and thought "what a tough one to get over from" afterwards realised it was in the net and you were celebrating 😆
They say the fishes color ((*Three species I’ve heard of is Trout, Bass, & Walleye)) is determined partially on what they consume, is that true? I’ve often heard that about the above (3). Great video Braddah’s!! ~ML&Aloha Your Boy Kekoa&Ohana.🎣🤎🏔
HAHAHAHA Comments like this crack me up. Y'all are so extra. A lot of the lakes like this are stocked with these cutties at one point or another. I'm sure if you called CPW and asked for a list they might give it to you. I doubt they keep it that much of a secret. But I could be wrong. Tight lines!
@@jaggermcmannis5506 Yeah man go for it! Or you could hit up my buddy on IG (link in description) and he might give you some info. These aren't really my places to give away.
I did? We occasionally keep the fish in the net in the water so they can be nice and healthy when we release them. Trust me the comment are far worse if the fish doesn't perfectly swim away than if we keep it in the net for a few seconds. Thanks for watching!

I'm glad you enjoyed it! I know we enjoyed filming the series and getting it out there to everyone. Thanks for the support!
The **really** big ones, and the **really** special ones, are the fish you remember forever. Bucket list fish, indeed.
Yep exactly! Thank you so much for watching
That's the kind of stuff you do when your young and healthy! Great video, you guys are building great memories! Enjoy the moment!
Thank you so much! I'm trying to knock these more difficult fishing trips off the list early for that very reason. Thanks for watching!

Killer series. New Coloradan and new fly angler here-and if I didn’t have inspiration and aspirations before, I do now.
Your reaction to that fish was perfect! I felt the stoke for you, I was pumped! Well done!

These videos make me wanna drop everything and run to Colorado!
As I was editing them I seriously considered going back.... Thanks for watching!
@el_troutjefe I can imagine sorry not sorry ;)
Awesome video! Alpine lakes can be tricky if you're not use to fishing them! Amazing colors on those fish. I'm glad you boys enjoyed your Colorado trip!
Yeah there was a bit of a learning curve but we figure it out! Thanks for watching the video man!
Hello , can you please explain the rig you're fishing with ? Is it the same as a river one? A stimulator dry and a nymph at the bottom?
Fantastic! So glad you guys got away from the crowds and got to experience some remote alpine lake fishing. I haven’t done a lot of this type fishing in my life but like you mentioned in your video it is an experience we will never forget. So glad you got to do this.

What kind of fly bait you use to catch the big trout? Amazing video 👏👊🏻🎣
I used a small size 22 foam back gnat! Thanks for watching

Beautiful cutty. I believe I read you should say."God save the queen" before you set the hook on a cutty. I have caught them without doing this. ...but apparently they are naturally slower on the take.

@@hardmanfishing take a look at the moment, it seems that way, but it's cool too, it was a hard day, nice footage 👌

Colorado River Cutthroat Trout

That looks like blue lake in Colorado
I have absolutely no idea where that is.. but this was definitely a "blue lake" hahahaha thanks for watching!
