As a person that has rebuilt many boats and built several off road rigs and cars...the moral of the story is be a parts hoarder....just look at how much time and money you saved from keeping things. This was a cool series man.
True that!
Your fuel pump draw is what scares me about non-oem parts
I hate overpaying for parts but something like that can be a buy-once-cry-once vs cry over and over again…
Thx for the breakdown
Yeah, it's unfortunate :(
Job well done. Now let's sell it!!
Your friend has no regrets giving you the boat knowing what you put in and appreciating the restoration.
I liked how you added the solenoid for the fuel pump to be activated by the ECM. Too bad it got fried to start with. Great lesson for the rest of us. Thanks.
Thanks 👍
Love you videos and crazy how much you did to this one! Also maybe a little extra time at the end of this video to add that total up before we have to watch some stupid add. Still giving you a thumbs up
Wow! Very detailed overview and yes lots of 💰but that's what it is B.O.A.T. right? I love that boat so well worth it to me! ❤
Bring out another thousand :O
Oooof! That dosen't even include the cost of the Verado for the boat 😬
That makes your shop rate pretty cheap! Enjoyed the project, thanks for sharing.
40 something an hour
Awesome breakdown. Appreciate your channel man!
Thank you! My pleasure!
Excellent video, and way lots of time keeping record and putting together 😂. Great job on the boat and the video!
Great info! Thanks for showing the work and the extremely detailed cost structure.
Glad it was helpful!
Why to much time and money but your fans had something cool to watch....thats the payback. Thanks for sharing
For sure!
I love the videos very inspiring
Would love to see you work on an old Boston Whaler Outrage 18 :-)
Aaron, Your Genius is Showing!!!😅
Can you talk about the relay/ecm issue solved?
I think I have enough usable footage to make a video on that, so that should come out over the next couple of weeks
Now you have a good "estimate base" for the next guy that gets a FREE boat, motor and trailer. Nice job!
Lol just say no!
Que pasada!!! Un trabajo estupendo👏👏👏
Cheap is expensive 😉
But it was a fun project and it was worth the efforts and expenses, wasn't it?
And now you have a great boat.
Gday mate Ive done a few restos to put a price on them you are always going to be out of pocket as you will never get the amount of money for hours back , if you do a resto you gotta want to keep it for at least a few years sometimes you have to wonder if all the frustrations and cost is worth it .
Did you make a walk around video after the boat was done?
Yup! Boats are so expensive because they are incredibly labor intensive to build!
I can use ATF fluid in my sea star steering system!!???? And don't we all pay too much in time and money on our boats?
😂😂
Sure! If you've got newer seastar fluid in there and it's still clear, I'd stick with the clear stuff, but if it's older, most of them are all filled with ATF already :)
Awesome. Thank you
Well done.
Thank you
Great rebuild, however why didn't you run the rigging tube below the floor since you had to cut it out?
Would have had to be a smaller tube :/
I'm sure some of us are curious of the resale value after all that work. If there was a comparison of what you spent and time vs the resale value of something like this please and thank you !
Well bully netters are a super specific and niche boat, I wanted the boat so that's the deal with this one, but the boats worth about $10K. So it's not really the best example for cost and value and what not of a restore, but I'm working on tracking better the boat's we do, time, cost, and what the value is after, so we'll get better about having that info in the videos on future boats :)
Cost of boat shop rental, transportation, ruined clothes, tools, health insurance, liability insurance, and other misc costs?
Those require a 2nd mortgage lol
Nothing worth having ever comes free and easy.......IT GOTTA HURT LIKE A GUNSHOT !
🎉
Coulda saved a mint if you didn’t put the STUPID stereo in it🙄.
Do the lobsters come to the noise???
$20,000 bully boat
Lol sadface
lol ya I would of just bought a new one. But it made great content for us and it helps your channel so that’s a plus lol.
Think of all the lobsters your gona feast on🦞🤤
and......was it worth it........[cough]
