Not being able to change the storage amount for each user is really breaking the deal. I remember wanting to get this deal last year and decided to wait for a change. Why bother to switch between more accounts when you can just give more storage to one account....
Hey you are totally right. It doesn't sound like the subscription for you. This is designed to be shared amongst multiple people rather than have one person switch between accounts. I'm guessing you have Microsoft 365 Personal and have upgraded to have an extra 1tb of OneDrive storage? that sounds more like the subscription for you.
That's an excellent question, and we appreciate you reaching out to us. Each account within a Microsoft 365 Family subscription is completely separate, with its own email account and password. The admin account only has the authority to apply parental controls to an account if it is designated as a child's account during the setup of a new member in your Microsoft 365 Family subscription. Unfortunately this isn't quite how OneDrive works with your Microsoft 365 Family subscription, it's 1TB per user - and by user we mean each email address you share your subscription with will get 1TB of storage. With Microsoft 365, you are also able to log in to more than one device at a time and make the most of your subscription e.g. 2 computers and your phone. You are also able to purchase additional OneDrive storage seperately if needed 😊 hope this makes sense!
As it stands, Microsoft Family is a bundle that utilizes the same apps that are in the business bundle. I see the current "Family" bundle targeting ages 13+ as the apps, largely, don't appeal to children below the age of 15 or 16 (especially not up until the most recent design updates). I would love to see limited, child-friendly versions of the apps that target the ≤13yo market, complete with some form of "Microsoft Fluent Design Kids." This would be perfect for those who want to introduce tasks or calendars in a form(digital) that's a both more visually appealing and educational to kids younger than the age of 13. Ultimately, an end-to-end solution for the family would be nice, by the way of Microsoft Launcher Kids(I'm not totally happy with Google Kids), to Microsoft Family security, to Microsoft Edge Kids, Microsoft Xbox Kids, Microsoft 365 Apps for Kids. Hi there, OneDrive will automatically tag photos so you could try to search for people or pets, and you will find tons of photos that meet that criterion. You can edit tags on photos if they don't suit what you are after. Otherwise you can create albums and organise photos that way.
