Decided to get the Mazda cx5 diesel and did all the initial checks you suggested and have enjoyed my experience so far. Fun car to drive, handling is great, good power , fuel consumption is great. Happy so far almost a year in.
@@0-60motoring. I was wondering if I can get the sky active diesel engine 2200cc 2016 and do the preventives measures e.g performing a DPF delete that you have stated coz I will be doing more oftenly short distances and long distances once a time because my heart really wants the diesel engine coz of fuel consumption and the power of the machine. Kindly assist me if I am making a wise decision
0-60 Motoring Welcome Back. Always Ahead of the Rest. Keeping it Brief and Very Informative. Of late I see almost everyone going for the AWD Compared to the 2WD.
I only disagree with you on getting a 2000cc petrol fully loaded from Japan. I drive one fully loaded with leather seats, AWD with driver's powered seat. And FYI it's a 2013 model. I heard you mention Finest Garage and Mugambi can attest to that. All in all, I agree with most of your review comments and hopefully in your next one, you won't trash the petrol 2000cc. You also forgot to say that besides the price being right, the Mazda CX5 are equipped with many safety features as opposed to their competitors in the same segment. 😅😅😅
Does it have some sort of eco mode for better gas mileage? I notice that with most cars, breaking distance increases when eco mode is turned on and it improves under either normal or sport mode.
The forester you love to hate on has many greater features. Superior AWD, great eyesight features such antibreaking collision controls, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, xmode. I feel much safer in a subaru than a cx5
Nobody hates the Forester. Our budget couldn't meet the XT price tag. The other one is too lazy.😆 The guy in the video is working on getting a ts Forester from Australia or a 3.6R Outback😆.
The 2017 newer model- KF2P 5, has all those safety features some using different tech but able to deliver all the same. Other extras ones include: adaptive LED Head Lamps and Automatic High beams. In terms os safety, it scored the same 5/5 with the Forester(NHTSA). For the roads we have high torque is more than enough, with a stage 1 software only tune you can easily bump this up to 480Nm. More than enough for sensible driving even in long distances.
Nice review bro.... Just asking if this car can be good on a tight budget.... With ksh10,000 maintenance money monthly will i make it? Secondly, can you advise buying it as a second hand.... zile za 900,000 pale car baazar. Kindly help God bless

Finest Garage, Ruiru bypass
Thankyou for the wonderful analysis. On behalf of other viewers we're grateful 🙏
Thanks Benedict
@@0-60motoring.when you do the dpf delete, will the be producing more exhaust smoke?

You missed the line 'the probability of getting a full spec in a 2.0l is low'. Doesn't mean that you won't get one completely. Good insights
Generally it's value for money whether petrol or diesel

Awesome so enlightening and educative on a diesel engine, this applies to date engine that's 2024 or they improved on the diesel engine?
Just get a petrol version.
There was a change/improvement in 2015 variants, so the ones we import from 2021 onwards
My CX-5 diesel is consuming oil. Have to top up after every 500-1000km. What could be the problem?
That is too frequent. Are you observing any oil stains where you park? The oil pan could be damaged causing a leak
Great review very informative
Thanks for the feedback

No eco mode here but it has istop for city driving

All those features are disadvantaged by steering rack problem and pricing.

So if you had budget for a Forester 2014 (non turbo) would you still get a Mazda CX-5?
Non turbo is weak.
No
@@0-60motoring. So its either an XT or CX-5.
My only concern is if Mazda CX 5 "D" required long distance travel, then how long is "the long distance travel"?
Over 60km daily
@@0-60motoring. i think if you at least do 10 kms per drive at some good speed 80km/h , that should be ok . 60kms is on the higher side
I do 100 and from work daily, I'll go for this one
