    Thanks for this great video.
    But if i need to right one datum in the shape. We put only the position we don't write names. Every time i do it manually to minimize font of the second box to maximize the first.
    Plz would u help me to solve this problem?

    • @computertutoring
      @computertutoring  4 роки тому

      Check out advanced data graphics www.computertutoring.co.uk/visio-tutorials/advanced-data-graphics/ if you want to link data to shapes. Otherwise have a rummage through the Org Chart tab on the ribbon should you just want to put the position on each shape. Hope this helps

    What is the standard format Excel data table for creating Org Chart?

    • @computertutoring
      @computertutoring  2 роки тому +1

      The standard format is a CSV file you'll need a reports-to column. I would recommend using an ID number for each employee. Just in case someone has the same name.

    I need a box that can put headcount of each department. Please advice me.

    • @computertutoring
      @computertutoring  4 роки тому

      Rasty Yassin Off the top of my head. What I would do is in Excel do some sort of count if function to work out how many people are in the department and then add that in as shape data.

    I work in human resources and have to update our org charts monthly...fun stuff!There are about 350 employees spread out over 15 divisions. I have been updating each chart individually along with the master chart that list all employees and divisions. Is there a way that i can just update the master chart and "hide" the divisions that i do not want to include to create smaller, individual, division charts? There has to be an easier way than what i have been doing

      @@computertutoring Thank you, sir! How do I reverse orders of two shapes?

    • @computertutoring
      @computertutoring  3 роки тому +1

      Use the org chart tab on the ribbon. On The left hand side you should see buttons that will enable you to move shapes and change the layout. I would recommend that you use these buttons to change the layout rather than dragging,.

    thanks so much Sir, this video is very helpful to me in my work. I need to know how can make a table content of 120 rows and 25 columns. Thanks advance

    • @computertutoring
      @computertutoring  3 роки тому

      Wow that's a big table I'd be tempted to make it in excel then bring it across. You could try the "Grid" shape (Use the Search Shapes feature on left to search for Grid) and drag the grid shape although I think the there is a max amount of columns but you can change the max columns by using the define button. I hope this helps.

    Is it so hard to record your screen in 1080p at a desend resolution?

      It was back when I recorded that as my laptop wasn't great. But since then I have saved my pennies and upgraded. Hope it wasn't too blurry for you.

    I have created a very large custom org chart, 100’s of people. I do not use the program to adjust the layout, I have manually adjusted the layout myself. When I create a synchronized copy it completely messes up the layout and also changes some of the lines (dotted vs solid). What can I do to prevent this?
