    This is exactly what I was looking for!!! Trying my own experiments but it’s getting expensive testing and hurts throwing them away. Thank you so much for doing this!

      You are so welcome! Argh - I hate gate keepers. I think the best way for us to advance as a community is to share our knowledge. Thank you for this message.

    Thank you for your reviews, I just purchased the zapp and love it, I will eventually upgrade but am happy I saw your video on the differences sunstone had to offer. The power settings are great too! Thank you as someone new to the industry I really appreciate the time you are taking in helping others.

      @stonesandfindings You have been most helpful in so many ways. I have a couple of questions that I bet you know the answer if you don't mind. It is very difficult to find good electrode information for me anyway. Perhaps I'm using the wrong search criteria.... Is it okay to purchase the longer electrodes and cut them in half to fit the welder? Is it the diameter of the electrode that is important or the alloy it's made of that makes it effective? Does this make sense? I'm a silversmith who is new to welding, and I really appreciate your help on this. 😊

      Thank you for this note! I'm glad it is of use. I have other charts and product knowledge I've created that you can print or share. It's only website under Free Resources:

    I am considering PJ and your videos have been very informative. Thank you for sharing. My question is that, what welding machine did you use for the metals in the chart? Did you use argon gas? Thanks again.

      For the chart - it actually does not matter the machine. THey're made by Sunstone and the actual power that comes out is controlled by the dial and is consistent.
      I love the Orion mPulse - it is the, hands down, the best arc pulse machine ever made (or on the market).
      If budget is very tight, you can go with Zapp Plus with ADL. The only difference is the digital touch screen, which is expensive to produce.

    Did you ever experiment with Stainless Steel?

    • @stonesandfindings
      @stonesandfindings  6 місяців тому

      I have once, but did not bother to purchase all the different gauges to make a chart of it. It welds stainless steel and the power setting needs to be slightly higher.
