- Honestly, this is not clickbait. It's literally the way you can throw powerful punches even without being so heavy because you leverage every gram of your weight and the physics principle of the falling step. In this video, I provide an exercise that you can do at home, and it will undoubtedly help you improve those punches

It's almost like different styles have different attributes, and there's no such thing as a secret to power...
Love your teaching videos! 👋🏽
Thank you Sir. Excellent
i'm from nsvl, i've boxed in about 15 different boxing gyms with different trainers, there is no soviet style, all trainers taught differently..
EXCELLENT
very good man!
Coach is back !!!
Box sings....
thank you sir
Not sure where u saw soviet don't do stepping footwork, they use both pendulum and stepping, Usyk, Loma, Bivol... Even Triple GGG was soviet amateur boxer, that adapted his style to Pro boxing. Is not pure Soviet Boxing, but the foundation was Soviet Boxing
It’s funny, don’t they train to land all their shots when the foot connects to floor? This video kinda seems like they arbitrarily chose the answer for the question of power.
Bivol also has good power, he’s just too patient or hesitant and doesn’t pursues the knockout. Definitely saw some internal conflict over the last fight of his lol.
There’s also Vyacheslav Lemeshev, a similarly bouncy amateur who used to KO people with a step/hop back cross. Especially with backhands, the Soviet style has a plyometric element to them. Which is very powerful.
I think it’s not in the footwork ,specified here, but the amount of upper body momentum committed to each strike.
Could you do a how to box like Petr Yan video ?
Thank you for this video upload. As a true and very dedicated boxer (me:), I'm a southpaw
switch-hitter. My style is like a southpaw Dmitry Bivol with elements of Ronald "Winky" Wright (I box and fight with a high guard and I have a stiff/shot gun jab:), Andre "SOG" Ward, Manny "Pac-Man" Pacquiao, Vasily Lomachenko, and Matvey Korobov. I basically utilize a Soviet style of boxing; however, I incorporate a very effective weapon in my arsenal, "shifting". Since I'm an ambidextrous switch-hitter, shifting has taken my boxing style to the a whole new level! Gennady Golovkin utilizes this tactic as well. Shifting is when you throw punches in one stance (southpaw for me:) while transitioning into the opposite stance (orthodox for me:) while throwing punches. Famous boxers that have effectively utilized shifting are the legendary champions: Jack Dempsey, Stanley Ketchel, Bob Fitzsimmons, Roberto Duran, Dmitry Pirog, Gennady Golokin, and Matvey Korobov.
