Cole hit it with enough power to suggest it was going out to the wing for a cross into the box. Even the right back makes a run wide thinking the same. Sheringham was never going to return a pass back to Cole either. Instead he passed it to Scholes through the legs of a defender when a pass to Cole was an easier one to make lol
Keane and Sheringham didn’t speak for 5 years either and this was during that time so them shaking hands here as Sheringham replaced Keane was about as much interaction as they had.
a friend of mine was at wembley for this , the most interesting thing i recall him saying was how calm it was for a cup final, as if it was an exhibiton rather than a cup final.

The comparison between Scholes, Gerrard a d Lampard is ridiculous coz if Scholes had Lampard role he would of scored more but he moved back to make the team tick whilst Lampard couldn't do that and Gerrard had to be main man most of his career so will have more highlights but was nowhere near as good as Scholes
