Nice to see it w the score, congrats on finishing this and having it played! Its very mysterious, i rly like it :) was kinda cool when the final chord was forte aswell, but idk lol :)
I'm glad you think it sounds like Berg. If the emotional nuance of this particular work is too difficult for you to grasp, maybe next time I'll write a baroque piece with lots of ii-V-Is just for you.
The complexity and subtlety ('nuance') you built into this very short piece humbles me. I must confess I totally fail to grasp the profound emotional impact it is meant to convey. Perhaps it was just the indifferent performance. I have the same problem of understanding with the Second Viennese School, and Schoenberg in particular. However, your piece is eminently sightreadable and the genesis and structure are quite transparent. This is an elaboration of your simpler piece 'in D minor'. This is also in D minor and the harmonic repertoire is the same. One can tell Bach is one of your favorite composers; statistically, D is Bach's favorite note.
