- The KSh70B Nairobi Expressway has officially been opened for public use. Transport CS James Macharia on Saturday, May 14, 2022 graced the opening of the road that rises in Westlands and lands in Mlolongo. CS Macharia said the road is one of the finest projects in Africa and will help ease movement across the capital. Macharia also exclusively drove on the Chinese built road as a way of opening it for use.

Kibaki built twice the width and twice the length of this road at less than half the cost and commissioned it as a no-toll road. I thought you should know.
Tuambiane ukweli, indeed the cost is very high. But can we also agree that the terrain is not the same? That land acquisition on Thika road cannot be the same as what we have here? We should also agree that we cannot be hating on everything government does. Because no angel will ever do everything we like according to the script in our minds costing exactly what we allotted in our minds. Being positive costs a lot less energy believe me

This road is a game changer...25 minutes from mlolongo to westlands...tuko.mbele jameni......payment 360ksh from mlolongo to westlands.
It by far lags behind thika road in excellence despite exceeding thika road by far in cost. More painful, it's not for everyone like thika road is....then biggest problem ni hapo kwa private investment, wenye nchi vs wananchi.
I think express way is an excellent idea regardless of the cost. Its a personal choice to use it, nobody forces you. It's time you also buy a car and become mwenye nchi instead of complaining
Parliament wants to introduce toll charges on major highways across kenya and thika road is on top of the list for chargeable roads! So in the near future, thika road won’t be for everyone😢

The only thing they have forgotten is putting flyovers or bridges for pedrestians, crossing the road is very hard, especially at Mombasa road.
the problem is those foot bridges have been turned into hawking spots n mugging joints
@@azamtn i know but its way better than someone boarding twice just to cross the road. Those are more costs especially for people working on Mombasa road and don't drive.

Kenyans must be optimistic and stop the idea of opposing every development. Road means everything to those who understand. The issue of birds at Nyayo stadium is a petty concern. You can not order birds to vacate. KWS will deal with the issue.

What I meant was that other roads projects given to local contractors some even in rural areas have used colossal amount of money with nothing to show off. This is a masterpiece to be emulated.
