We’re spending 1400-1500 mo on groceries every month 😩 -we’re in montana, a few times a year we drive 2 hours to a larger city to go to Costco, walmart etc to stock our freezer and pantry and save as much as possible but our prices are super high locally
We spend $300-$350 per week for a family of 5 so about 1200/month. I try to shop at WM, target, and discount grocery stores but it’s hard to get under $1000 these days. I stopped beating myself up about it and just keep trying not to go overboard at the stores. I know Marisa uses hello fresh so that’s why her bill is lower…😊
Oh! One thing to research for upcoming months/expenses is when your car registration will be due and depending if you came from a state who did a flat rate vs car value rate. I know it took me by surprise my first year because i was in a state previously That did a flat car registration rate. Welcome to AZ!
Florida has all those set up fees etc Last year we moved from Florida to Maine and we didn’t have to pay a deposit or fee for setting up power here which was so nice! Interesting how different it can be between states.
As for how insurance may impact you, first it’ll depend on how the second one turns out. If your insurance gets reimbursed or not. Luckily, if your found “not at fault” either way that’ll help how much they consider you as a risk which aka affects premiums. Also when you renew it might feel like it hurt you but rates are continuing to go up because of the cost to fix vehicles and because of lawsuits. (I work in the insurance world) when you renew the move could help or hurt depending on accidents and lawsuits in AZ vs OR. For us going to Maine from FL lowered it. Florida has a LOT of lawsuits and insurance fraud (higher then other states combined). That’s why a lot of them are pulling out of Florida.
Make sure the person who hit you pays for the depreciation of your new car. The insurance company will likely battle you, but there is a company out there that will help you. I can send you their info.
Your insurance will go up regardless of who was at fault. My advice is never use insurance if you can pay for it yourself. You’ll be paying for it eventually in insurance premiums over the next five years
My son used your referral link the other day to open himself an account. He just put $5000 in it to open it not really planning to add anything to it as he just bought himself a brand new car he did take out alone on it, but he will be making extra payments to pay it off Sooner
Our vehicle insurance went up by $1000 (annual premium). I was so sad to see this number! We didn’t even have any claims. We also spend about $1200-1400 per month on groceries.
We’re a family of 4- I like to cook and I don’t like to go too cheap on what we buy for food. Just insuring two vehicles for now but soon we’ll be adding one more for one of our kids 😮 I know that will bump up our insurance!!
I am dreading our insurance renewal this year. We had two auto claims and our very first homeowners claim. Auto wasn’t out fault, but the other people hit and ran.
Happy for you about the lower income taxes! Unfortunately in Arizona that’s reflected in their poor education. Are there good private school options near you? Worth looking into -especially since you can 529 funds on it!
yes I second that, could you tell us where your term life insurance comes from and any details? I realize after watching your vids that I need to get some but really don't want to overpay for that. Thank you for this update!
It's Arizona rated. It won't melt or anything. We'd hose it down before playing on it. But I also don't anticipate us playing outside in the sun in 115 degrees. :) Hopefully we can get out in the mornings before it gets that hot.
We also just moved into a new build in October. We didn’t have to pay deposits because of our credit, but we did have to pay connection fees. They were 50 each. I felt that was insane!! We are outside Nashville.
We moved into a new build in Mesa way back in 2019 … yes I remember either they pulled your credit or 250 deposit ( i remember being surprised when a year later when that deposit was given back) city of Mesa costs us around 200-300 to cover water sewer and trash SRP provides our electricity it varies 100-400 on time of year … yes no claims on any of our insurances and every 6 months car insurance has gone way up and we have changed insurance companies to try to help BUT this last time it was horrible no matter who I priced thru 😂glenda
Do you think how much you would save if you didn't ever eat or breathe......what a stupid question to ask, children are a blessing from God which you would never appreciate.

Wow... how big is your family?
I’m in Canada. We spend $1500-$2000 per month. 3 teenage boys and 2 adults
1500-1800 on food for a family of 4 (2 kids under 8) and we are light eaters. But we in San San Francisco Bay Area
@@kaylintang I thought I was the only one spending this outrageous amount. Thanks for sharing

Awesome content, thanks for sharing!
I don’t life in US but I have heard horrors stories of HOAs, so hopefully nothing wrong with yours
I used to sell insurance! No you are good, it won’t change your rate, your not at fault for either even if you had to go through your insurance 😊
We're a family of five we spend 1200-1700 a month on groceries but we live in new York

Did you not do an escrow account this go around? Also as registration is on the cheaper side as well! I miss AZ!

It's so frustrating to get penalized for doing the right thing and carrying insurance when it wasn't your fault...

You can *use* 529 funds I meant to say
Even better you can use AZ ESA funds. ESA can cover a huge portion of private schools. There is tons of school choice in AZ.
AZ has great options for paying private school tuition with programs that can nearly cover it entirely! Oregon public schools were not good either.

What’s going to happen with that turf play space when it’s 115 degrees?

SRP is a million times better than APS!
do you ever think about how much money you'd have or save if you didn't have kids?
