Watching you on the ice working on your movement I see you’re really keeping the technique but not your explosiveness. Think it’s time to really get that explosiveness in the toolbox. From now on everything you do is as fast as you can.
It's funny you say this as I've been wanting to share this advice as well for Trav. So Trav, that's a head nod from me too. Speed and quickness need to be added to your training schedule. Everything you've been doing is great but I'm not seeing explosiveness or reaction focused speed/quickness training in your regimen. This is just observed advice from your professional fans here. Keep up the great work and enjoy riding along on this journey and I hope your open to this type of advice. Your game and meeting the hopes and expectations from your coaching staff is the purpose here in providing this advice. Good luck brother, keep it up!

@@sherlockholmes60 anyone can add explosiveness. He showed his workouts which werent explosive movements. He should be jumping and doing weights at high velocity.
@@xmohawkx985 I've seen him do leg work but I wouldn't recommend heavy lifting. More of a 75% capacity with explosiveness.
@@sherlockholmes60 Well, he could with a good trainer.. But, he has to take a whole season off the ice and focus on weight training and plyometrics. He just had hip surgery and recovered from that. He came back too soon in my opinion.

I really think that this was it. I mean what FED team would sign him after this horrible chain of events... double traded > Shot up for 12 goals in 40 min then released... I like the guy but damn! They really did him dirty this time. I suggest coming to Finland and trying II div here (II division league= 4th overall division in Finland). My neighborhood team plays II div, and we just lost 11-5 .... Trav would fit right in 😇.... or Sweden's III div again.

At 1:12 why are you butterfly sliding over to the shot? You have plenty of time to keep your feet and shuffle over. You give up the goal because of it. As a “pro goalie” that simple mistake shouldn’t happen.

Just a heads up Trav, but I noticed that on shots coming from the point to the the hash marks, when you go into the butterfly you drop your blocker side leaving a hole high blocker side and a bit of a five hole because when you drop your shoulder, the blade of your stick isn’t flush to the ice anymore leaving a hole along the ice especially.
I’ve coached and played at your level (and I’m also a lefty), so I tend to look for things like that sometimes. 😂. Just letting you know to be aware of that habit you’ve got, nothing that can’t be fixed by just focusing on that for a little while and practicing. Best of luck dude!

@@GOLDFORDAY He does it a few times in this video alone. He does it way less in practice as far as what we see in those videos, but it’s still there. So it’s something that he falls back on in a game when there’s play in front of him and he get in a butterfly. It’s super common, even for pros. But over time if you really focus on that and keeping yourself upright in your butterfly you can stop it from becoming a real habit that takes a longer time to break.
Watch when the play is down low and the goals they score high stick side. In this video. You can see what I’m referring to pretty clearly.

Dude I say this with nothing to win or lose but I will say focus on your career as a videographer vids are put together nicely my boy with no hook ups got a job with the cowboys with your fan base I’m sure someone will give you a chance in the A maybe even the show just some friendly advice. For the past month, nearly everyones complaining he is far behind on his vlogs and realtime news. He has clearly stated he can’t get them out fast because number 1 priority is hockey. The guy can’t seem to win on this topic. If there’s one thing nobody can argue, he’s doing better than Kaskisuo right now (not saying Trav is better for those that don’t understand the point). He’s playing hockey- professionally regardless of pay size and league unless most who come here to criticize Trav under fictitious names (updated-fixed blogs)
Are you seriously saying Trav is doing better than Kas??? Kas is waiting for a call from a top tier league, leagues by the way, he has been successful in. While Trav is bouncing around a glorified men’s league to be a Shooter-Tutor/ third stringer, and only because he (for whatever reason) has a modest social media following.
Oof, whatever you think of KK he's a legit pro goalie who's obviously comfortable enough financially due to previous contracts that he's willing to wait for an opening. Really in no way comparable with a dude who peaked a decade ago in junior B & makes less money than my 16 year kid does waiting tables a couple of evenings a week.

Do you think the coaching staff and organization think you are not fulling engaged?.. i feel like you are more worried about content then the team or game/practices. Also would seem like a distraction to others with camera always around.. just my opinion
I mean if it werent for his channel i don't think he gets into the FPHL. It's a living, breathing record of his experiences and character and likely give the FPHL and himself more exposure. I do worry that they give him the run around though, to get free promo content, knowing that his fan base follows his journey. I worry that they abuse him for what he can provide off the ice.
@sparkkplugg8787 yea if i was a coach or owner of a team and saw a player always carrying a camera around it would totally be a distraction to others... i mean think about it at practice he would need to set it up then go move it to another location. Set it up again.. just seems like it would be a headache to coach the guy
It may seem like that because he’s not the goalie number 1 but he’s been recording even befor he went to Sweden and he was a starter so that should prove that the cameras don’t affect his play 2 this is how he makes most of his income playing in the fphl dosent come with much money so if he dint record he would have no money
3 I think his problem is his play in games based off practice only he would be a starter he just dosent preform amazingly in games but he is still a good goalie

@@mikemandryk7811 you are absolutely correct that it has to be a distraction one way or another. But its not something they weren't aware of before hand. They clearly didn't care when he signed. If the team was performing well would it be considered a distraction? hard to say.

I get it's business, but, if this IS the team that kept telling you while you were with the MCR last season, telling you all that "We're gonna do everything we can to trade for you."
