You wouldn’t say that all books or movies are R18. You wouldn’t say that every venue is R18. That would be very limiting. You can’t say that all drag is R18 because it is just as expansive as film and literature. Yes some drag is R18 but a fair portion of it is family friendly. To paint drag with the same brush just shows your limited understanding of it. My question for you is do you think drag is R18 because drag itself is R18 or is it because queer people are typically drag queens? Never thought I would ever agree with BT but 100% behind him on this one. We do not want this country looking like San Francisco, covered in rainbows.
I'm not a fan of Brian Tamaki however on this occasion he's 100% correct. He is also correct with his comments on councils. They can be difficult to deal with. They have become a top heavy bureaucratic institutions full of paper shufflers who almost delight in wasting your time.
Too heavy and full of empire builders. Senior staff on very high salaries making decisions without thinking of the cost to many low income households. They should be forced to do Time and Motion studies on each over staffed dept within Council. We need ACCOUNTABILITY and TRANSPARENCY from councils. We need to know at a glance which councillors voted for what!
