Fun Fact:The secret message at the end, when decoded, says "Happy now, Ariel?" Ariel is creator Alex Hirsch's twin sister, and the inspiration for the character of Mabel. She's a fan of N'Sync member Lance Bass and jokingly suggested that he voice a character in the show, a suggestion Alex ultimately honoured - he got Lance to voice some of the Sev'ral Timez members, and Ariel got to meet him and thx for the shoutout as always love your reactions:))
He has a twin sister?! So Dipper and Mabe are literally inspired by his actual family life lol thats so cool, and very cute. Also im not knowledgeable with N'Sync but thats really cool that Lance voiced this episode, and Ariel got to meet him :D and no problem homie, thank you for supporting the channel!
2:33 Candy cracks me up. She's such an understated character compared to Grenda, yet she's kinda batshit in her own subtle way. Plus I love Niki Yang's voice, so that's a big plus. And to my knowledge girls grow physically faster than guys. Women reach adult height around 14-15 years old, while dudes keep growing until they're 18 (and even a little bit after). Mentally both men and women's brains stop developing around 25 years old. And apparently when they hit puberty women's minds jump about two years ahead of their physical age, while guys' don't. Most men don't achieve the same level of mental maturity as women until early adulthood. Alex Hirsch said that Robbie didn't even know the backwards message was in there and it didn't even actually do anything. Wendy legit just liked the fact that he wrote a song for her. It's just a fact that most women love a musician. I actually tried to learn to play guitar once because I wanted to be more attractive to women. Turns out such a motivation wasn't sufficient to keep me playing, lol. Plus I really, REALLY didn't want to have to grow my nails out. 9:13 sounds like it's time for somebody to start watching Star Wars: The Clone Wars TV series to learn the wonders of clones 😛 Also boy bands songs can be legit catchy. They're carefully formulated to be that way. I'm not capable of not bopping along to Back Street's Back or I Want It That Way when they pop up. I'm only mortal. If you want a funny breakdown of Pop Music writing, check out the song Pop Music 101 by Marianas Trench. Not only does it point out all the ways pop music is written to be catchy and appealing, it goes on to prove it all by being a straight banger XD
facts, I love candy so much lol. also i just searched up Niki Yang. She was also BMO from adventure time!? also robbie didn't know the message was in there?? wait, so it wasn't even hypnotizing? Wendy was just into the effort she thought robbie put in + musicians? lmao wow Its funny, Im a huge star wars fan but ive never watched The Clone Wars lol. So many episodes to get through, but i watched everything else star wars related (minus the mandalorian)
@@KirsharReacts The Clone Wars is definitely one of my favorite Star Wars things out there. George Lucas came up with the plotlines and ideas, while his protege Dave Filoni actually wrote and executed the ideas. And it was a match made in heaven. As for the Robbie thing, yeah apparently according to Alex Hirsch their intention was to have it just have been Dipper looking too deeply into it, but they realized after they finished the episode that they'd done a really poor job at showing that, since between the way the voice acting was done and the animation it doesn't come across that Robbie didn't know at all. But by that point it was too late. So they just kind of shrugged and let it be. So to be honest one could certainly argue the canon changed, but if nothing else the original intention was Robbie not actually mind-controlling Wendy. And yeah, Adventure Time is where I first heard Niki Yang's voice too. She played both BMO and Lady Rainicorn.
Oh damn. I didn't realize how long your hair was. I love it. I also love this episode. The concept is so dumb. But it's so fucking fun. It's so fun to just watch.
thank you :D funny thing is, i cut my hair shorter a few times already lol. it was down to my butt a few times in my life and yeah this episode was fire!
Another reason why Wendy was mad because Dipper did the same thing Robbie did to her. He stood her up (not caring about her feelings) and asked her on another date. That’s exactly what Dipper did
I love how the evil of this episode was casually defeated by... the goat! XD And Soos is precious, even when he has a very minor role. "Only when I look in the mirror." Gotta admire such confidence! XD Also, this episode is made to make fun of boys band, so the fact you don't like them is a plus! Pretty funny and crazy episode all in all.
Boy bands are tailor-made to appeal to teenage girls (thus the idea for the episode was born), so it's not exactly a surprise for pretty much everyone else not to like them. That being said, there's nothing wrong with stuff made to appeal to teenage girls. Unless it's Twilight. Because Twilight taught girls to think that creepy controlling stalkers are perfect boyfriend material.
Wendy’s “I know right” to “ugh, girls” kills me every time😂😂😂 Sry I’m posting these comments several months too late, just trying to make sure you’re alive
It's interesting how Stan is doomsday prepper talking about the apocalypse...Wonder what he could possibly know...🤔 I'm sure it won't be important at all...
thank you so much 😂 i thought about it, but i don't think im a big enough youtuber to get a Patreon, doubt anybody would join that right now. Plus Im happy with just UA-cam right now :)
While yes this ep does show Dipper is definitely selfish in his pursuit of Wendy I still believe that no matter what even if Dipper didn't like Wendy after hearing that song he would question it. I mean he's seen some crazier stuff already. The lyrics are literally about hypnotizing her. Also while it was kinda fast for Dipper to immediately go after Wendy I think she over reacted a little. He didn't say 'you and I hang out' he said 'Stan and him were going bowling and would she want to join them.' I've had some horrible heartbreak including my fiance of 6 years leaving me and if someone offered to take me bowling with them I would have been happy about it. I guess it really depends on the person but personally I think she overreacting a little bit.
Ngl, man, if you enjoyed Sev'ral Times, you may enjoy BTS. They're a more modern boy band and, even though they are a Koreon Boy Band, some of their songs have English lyrics in them. You have probably already heard their song Dynamite and it is a pretty good song. However, my personal favorite and the one I recommend is My Universe, which is a song they did with Coldplay and, man, it is such a good and beautiful song! Highly recommend!

One of my favorite bands is The Chainsmokers, what's yours?
im not really a band person to be honest. I listen to individual artists mostly. but if I had to choose a band from my childhood, Linkin Park? :D
