This song is really good!! And it sounds kinda like those ballads from the early 80's y'know? I really enjoyed this nostalgic vibe it gave to me. And props to the singer, his clean voice and drives are flawless!
About 8 or 9 yrs ago they had another album out that had a song on it called Rat Race and a few other very good songs. They didn't get as much airplay at that time but UA-cam is a savior for a lot of bands that fell out of favor over the years. Not to mention the five albums they put out prior to that all the way back to 1988 which had stellar music on each. It's a rabbit hole worth digging in to my friend.
I'm glad to see that people enjoy this. I'm so new to the rock/metal journey that, sometimes, I am unsure about what of what I am listening to. I just liked this so much that I wanted to share and see what people thought.
Old Guys can still rock! This is what I like to see from older bands, not trying to change the formula so much that they sound unrecognizable. Have you heard anything from the new Extreme (the band 😆) album? I'm not a huge fan of the band over all, but Nuno Bettencourt proves that he can still shred that guitar to pieces. The song Rise has a really cool guitar solo.
Beavis n Butthead used to clown this band .. their "friend" used to rock a Winger t-shirt and he was the butt of plenty jokes .. Winger was considered super soft at a time when the classic heavy metals were raging the mainstream.. Pantera, Metallica, RATM, etc..
Oh I love Winger. My favourite album by them still has to be Pull. There's a song called "Spell I'm under" which is a great ballad if ballads are what you want.
John Roth is the second guitarist. And Paul Taylor(on the keyboards) is the original second(rhythm guitarist)guitarist in the band. All the members are multi-instrumentalists.
Might I request you take a look at Helloween’s live performance of “How Many Tears” from their 2018 headline performance at Wacken. The Fathers of Power Metal won’t disappoint! 👍🏻

I think I haven't heard anything of/or by Winger since Beavis and Butthead went off MTV. Didn't they have a friend who was a fan? >< The music is really good, but the band used to have such a strang reputation amongst metalheads. :D

Winger took a lot of flack during the 90's for not being "Metal" enough, but I always thought they made great music. Great musicians all around.
And it comes back to this...good music is good music.
