I'm back Wharf Fishing! (Chaotic Fishing day!)

Hello and welcome to Basic Fishing from New Zealand. I am finally back doing some wharf fishing and it felt so great to be back on the wharf again. Today I was out with Lee and Peter and our objective was to try doing some straylining off the wharf. This was my 1st proper experience doing straylining off the wharf and it was a huge learning experience for me as I've never done much straylining and always considered it a waste of time, until today. We ran into a whole range of species from Jack Mackerel, parore, snapper, piper saw some kingfish and trevally. Really look forward to trying proper straylining again from this wharf in the future.

Fly fishing casting tip: Don't break your wrist - it makes the rod drop too low behind you. Think 10 to 2 on a clock face with a stiff arm let the elbow pivot. Thanks for the video.

Cant say this is best fishing spot.
Heaps small snaps
Small kawahai
Heaps rats
Heaps yellow tails
And the odd trev.
Would recommend walk to point and fishing there.

Ti point use to be huge kingis under the wharf only thing about the place its to popular caught a few trevs snapper there , there is a few crays there to by the stairs just that current rather be safe on the wharf , was there 3 weeks ago
