On The Bektashis (Alevi Muslims)

In this video, we discuss the Bektashi Order of Albania which has its origins in Eastern Turkey/Anatolia but is named after the mystic Haji Bektash Veli who originates from Khorasan. They are a branch of the Alevi Muslims.

I read some albanian historical literature on shabbat'ai Tzvi given sanctuary by the bektashi sect. i can share with you the bektashi influence being vast in what is now known as nth.macedonia - especially the city that was known as manastir. definetly a mystic sect. curses and potions are still ripe in those lands..a safe passage was created by the bektashi mystics into thessaloniki for tzvi. interesting how he ended up with the bektashis

@xdjjssj ajsjsns It’s a bit complicated because the Alevis were from Khorasan. Some are native converters and some aren’t. The Kurds are native converters for sure.The Qizilbash just get their name from their headwear and were known for being Twelver Shiites. Twelver Shiism is different from Alevism.

@xdjjssj ajsjsns The Seljuks had a clear Mongoloid admixture as you can see in the depictions of them. Many Uzbeks and Turkmens do have significant if not completely Mongoloid admixture (like Turkmenbashi and Dostum from Afghanistan). Many also don’t have that much Mongoloid admixture in them.

A statue of Scanderbeg, Albania`s national hero, stands in Krujë, in the north-central part of the country. The Albania Coexistance with non Communist Party Nationalist movement called Balli Kombetar, led by Midhat Frashëri a Turkish. Which made Albania supported China and in dispute broke off diplomatic relations with the Soviet Union in 1961.
