As someone who has never competed in any track and field event I have learned so much from hearing your strategies/approach to the different distances!
They all fell victim to one of the classic blunders; Never get involved with a land war in Asia and only slightly less well known is, NEVER sit and kick against Nick when death is on the line!
If you ever come to South Africa and want to race a previous 400m highschool runner (9 years ago) now turned doctor ring me up, the sit and kick game will be strong. Thanks for an entertaining show Nick!
Getting rid of the wheel of destiny is def a flex.....im impressed....basically he saying i can beat you at your best game.....but taking the wheel a way does take out some great suspense...kudos. I can't wait to see the next one!!!

I ran the 800, 1600, 3200 in High School in the 80s. We had the old cinder track. That was fun to run on and you didn’t want to take a spill on it either. My best event and time was the 1600 with a 4:53 in my sophomore year in HS. If I would of applied myself better I’m sure I could have been sub 4:30. I was just not that motivated unfortunately. Thankfully the Army gave my plenty of motivation and discipline. Just a little to late for a sub 4:30 mile haha 😆 I do have to give a shout-out to Nick for motivating kids to get outside and be apart of something. It’s so important that young people especially in the middle of this crazy ongoing pandemic get plenty of exercise. Strength these kids lungs and cardiovascular is so important especially with these kiddos now getting double slammed with upper respiratory infections and Covid. So important that they stay healthy and active. Plus Students who are physically active tend to have better grades, school attendance, helps with memory, classroom behaviors. It’s a plus plus for these kiddos all around. Another shout-out to Logan That is very very hard to do when not in traffic. So to run 4:35 is really really good. I’m guessing Logan running under 4:30 when he’s not weaving in and out of traffic and playing dodge ball with other runners. A little trivia only 1,497 humans have ever broken the 4-minute mile. Twelve of those have been in High School. The really good H.S. athletes typically are running 4:20 and that should get you a scholarship into a D1 school. Believe it or not I have known smaller colleges with little or no money that need their rosters filled that will take runners who just want to run and who might only run just under a sub 5:00 minute mile as long as they can show improvement.
16:30 I can’t express it enough how annoying it was going around people during the mile in high school. Like there were literally people walking in PE class, and sometimes they were in the WORST spots and it took a while to get around them. I was no pro or anything, but I got a lot of 5 minute miles in high school, despite the bad traffic.
Ha ha ha loved the six pack ab overlay caught me laughing with that one. Had to sub you have to be inspiring lots of people to not only run or even just exercise….but also to get out and be social. Got to be
