As an Irish fan who's seen him live countless times, the kid will be one of the greats in rugby. he has insane speed, deceptive strength, unmatched agilty and a serious eye for the whitewash. I just hope he can some more game time at Irish and in an england shirt. I hope he stays at Irish for as long as possible but I'm fully aware a big club will poach him at some point. He's well on his way to becoming a world class player who can win major awards in his time. He's seriously special.
As a fellow Irish fan, I’d love it if we could get 3-4 seasons from Henry Arundel. For some reason we seem to be a development side for a lot of other teams. It’s also a shame that the rise of Arundel has meant that Tom Parton will be leaving at the end of the 2022/23 season.
Future player of the year right here, from a saffa, this kid has it all... Deceptively quick with those monster tree stump legs, strong af in the tackle area, Big rugby brain, always keeps the defenders guessing. puts players in to space. Insane ! A real Prodigy in the making !!!
His temperament might be the most impressive thing about him in an already very long list. Hardly celebrates when he scores, biggest reaction from him in this clip is when he fucks up the pass into touch. One of the first games I saw of him he came off the bench and immediately dropped an easy high ball. Lot of young players sink into themselves after stuff like that, he went on to be the difference with some magic moments. He seems proper grounded, means business, and is smart with it. What a talent, so excited to see where he'll be in 2/3 years as a player
Kudos for digging out that disallowed try against Saints. Also enjoyed seeing him called both 'Ben Loader' and 'Harry Arundell' by the guy on comms for that Sarries Challenge Cup game.
He has acceleration and lateral movement of a Robinson and Bennett, but he can maintain that speed, even accelerate more, and moves wonderfully in laterally if needs ti, so really agile, rather like Jonathan Davies, but of a higher and more powerful weight class. Could be amazing as a centre?
@@nialloneill5097I think he needs a bit more space than he would get as a centre, to use that phenomenal pace. But Arundell will have the strength to do a good job as a centre in a few years. Hopefully, he'll be looked after by the national team management and be lucky with few injuries? 🙏✌️
Other than the obvious, I like the fact that he seems humble and never does some stupid dumb celebration like many players started doing, either before or after scoring.
His first try here is best watched with the french commentators version - incredible and goose bump rousing... 🤣 😁. Love this compilation Andrew - have watched out for him since his England U20s heroics...
Youre a legend mate putting up this video. I was thinking today I wanted to watch an Arundell highlights vid and look who comes through for me again!!!!
He is the most naturally talented player England has produced in the last 20 years, I hope he stays injury free because he has the potential to go down as an all time great. Some of the things that he is doing just can't be coached ,he has the potential to be better than Jason Robinson infact in some aspects he is even better already. I have been watching rugby for nearly 50 years and I have seen some great players however I haven't seen many more naturally gifted than this lad , maybe a couple but not many. Ps It isn't just the speed and agility it is the fact that he sees the game, something that most British players don't in general.
What an athlete. Has been playing like a more physical Will Jordan this year, I'd have him on the wing under Borthwick so we can put to use those chunky legs in the wide channels
its not the backs where england have problems, no lack of choice there, im afraid the forward pack is distinctly mediocre looking when up against the likes of france and the springboks. borthwick needs to bring in the likes of val rapava ruskin among others, i think its time to retire a few of the big lads from international duty, and johnny hill is not the answer either. there are rumours dan coles may get a comeback, i think that sort of thinking is a backward step.
Ridiculous fullback and winger…he should be starting for England at 11 or 14…he’s so quick, a try scorer and a beast! Most talented player since Josh Lewsey, or Johnny May. Maybe not Robinson just yet
Just come across this beauty of a video. As an irish to say it’s been tough for us is an understatement. Finally, my club is very much on the up. People have not respected us the last few years and we have produced some Massive results, against saracens and other big clubs. We have major silverware coming our way if u ask me
Imagine having Arundell, Radwan and LHC, to choose from!!! EJ only gave Arundell A few minutes and ignores the other two??? You could have the fastest/deadliest back line, even as subs!! Wasted!! So glad EJ has gone!!!!!
EJ like a long time Turkish brothel client had his favourites, and he stubbornly refused to sample the younger, juicer, more versatile, sultry talents on offer
He's the most talented ball runner in England. Reminds me alot of Rory Underwood with that elusive little stutter and swerve! Genius should be in England team all the time! 👍
He has 3 great qualities. 1 can't be coached. Sheer gas. And he can step, and he passes well. Why he's not a fuxture of the England team for the next ten years is beyond me. John Kirwan and Jonah Lomu were both under 20 when they were picked for the All Blacks. This kid is good
Good stuff happens when he gets the ball, I would love for him to be an option to play 13 for England so he could have the ball more often, he would just need good distributers around him at 10 and 12, 10 Farrell and 12 Slade or 10 Smith and 12 Slade would be great. Tuilagi has been hurt a lot and is retiring from England duty after the World Cup, playing Arundell at 13 could get more threats in the side especially on the wing where England are loaded. Frigg thinking of 9) Van Poortvliet, 10) Smith 11) May 12) Slade 13) Arundell 14) Radwan 15) Steward is a try scoring fantasy and a half. England are just loaded with athletes who grew up playing Football too so kicking and chasing the ball could lead to some spectacular dribble and touchdown scores with that 11, 13 and 14 pairing.
He has pure pace wasted at 13. 13 has to be a great defender and a good passer. The object of rugby is for 14 men to give the 15th half a yard head start. He is that 15th man. Somewhere in the back 3. Great prospect
Agree he could be a line-breaker who can score tries, as Robinson was, which is rare for a centre. In fact he could play almost anywhere, and be a danger to opposition.
Meh. Nah. International team defenses are so good, over analyzed and well coached that having your team built around one phenomenal player won't work at test level.

Funny you should say that because I thought immediately of Robinson. Eng need players like him, but Borthwick must get the pack right first.

A Phil Bennet with superior speed and strength, just like Jason Robinson. Look forward to seeing him play for England and the Lions.
Most of the tries scored after coming off the bench... the starting full back must be one hell of a player!
