I am an old garage band and small bar drummer and I have always wondered why in studio, why the drummer is behind the partition. Is this a dampening affect thing?
to isolate the drums for better recording and mixing control. so the other microphones can better record other sounds, like voice giving the engineer and producer a cleaner plate
