Recently I was awarded 60% with SMC-K for prostate cancer plus residuals from the cancer and surgery which was all linked to Camp Lejeune. I completed all the paperwork and filed it all myself. My C&P examiner was great and made the process easy. The worst part was the fourteen month wait for a decision to be made. I appreciate the informational videos and all the hard work that goes into the process of making them. Videos like yours helped me tremendously with navigating the process.

I was diagnosed with prostate cancer last year at Scott and White Hospital, and I filed a claim under the Pact Act as a Gulf War vet. My c&p exam is coming up at the end of the month on 5/31/34... in Temple Tx.

Will you lose your rating if you refuse the prostate exam? My dad had the prostate removed and went through ration.

I am not really sure about that sir. You may want to check in with a legal professional on that. I am really sorry to hear about your dad

Question on this. I had prostate cancer in 06/2019. I filed for compensation with the VA and was denied on 11/2019 They saying it was not presumption. not military related peace time. Then they added the Pact Act and burn pits which I was around during our deployment to the Gulf. I was treated from 09/2019 thru 01/2020. It stated that those that were been treated would get 100 % for 6 months. Then only based on your conditions after. So, I refiled now that Im in the presumptive group. Will my disability if approved be based on my current problems I'm having since i have finished my treatment.

I am not sure sir. Have you discussed your case with a VSO or another legal professional?

Don't you still have problems, such as insomnia, urinary leakage in the middle of the night, need to wear pads during the day, and I'm sure you have ED...do your homework, and never be embarrassed to talk to your Dr, and never miss an appointment. Good luck
