@@jam3sbishop do you really think anyone under the age of 15 would voluntarily go looking on youtube for a video about data structures? Pg my ass dude cause you know for a fact that this is 17-18 MSC GCSE cramming shit
this kind of stuff, things to do with programming is my biggest worry for the exam. How important is it that i learn it all or is it likely to not come up within an exam?
Sam Madders most likely to come up. Although in the new exams such as biology and computing they have made it so you can link your knowledge of topics to unfamiliar situations.
Thanks, ill ask my teacher about it tomorrow, just find some parts are complicated. And i had Biology today, a lot of questions were hard to answer because of the situation and the way they were asked.
I just wanted to ask would they ask you to answer any questions in subject code on the AQA exam papers for the new specification because I've been hearing a lot of people lately saying that it won't come up, they'll only ask you to answer the questions in pseudocode or in the form of a flowchart? Also, your videos are the life of me when it comes to my Computer computer science exam😅
Do you mean program code? If so, then no, they won't ask you to only write that. Examiners will know different languages which is why pseudocode is used
@@MrBrownCS Yeah I understand that, but will there be any instances where they will ask us to write it down, or in an even more extreme situation give us a question written in it? I understand that there is a very slim possibility of that but I just wanted some clarity for when I go into the exam hall.
Not per se, as higher dimensional arrays follow the exact same idea, so a 3D array is an array within an array within an array (and uses 3 index numbers)
Just started GCSE computer science and it's pretty irritating how we code with vb.net then the pseudo code is different to that. I know it's quicker, but it's almost like trying to learn 2 different languages!
I know it feels like that, but pseudocode isn't a language. You can decide the syntax yourself i.e you could just write VB code as pseudocode if you wanted to
Yeah, I hear that a lot actually. Follow what your teacher says, but don't overthink it as ultimately the way you write it is your own personal preference
Thanks! It depends slightly on what's going on behind the scenes, but there'll be memory allocated to the file objects, text stored in the buffer (also a part of memory) that is waiting to be written etc. For larger files and/or more basic systems, this lack of efficiency may be problematic
Your channel and videos has singlehandedly saved my ass from failing my software class. Thank you so much.
come on buddy keep it pg

Can you do a paper walk though for the A level papers (this one first please)
Yeah, I will do. I'll make a start when I finish covering the A Level theory first
For a leve do we need to know 3D arrays?
Not per se, as higher dimensional arrays follow the exact same idea, so a 3D array is an array within an array within an array (and uses 3 index numbers)
is this gonna be on the GCSE exam (9-1)?
Muheeb ullah Yep
for OCR one paper 2
Yah
Muheeb ullah yh for today
Muheeb ullah the whole paper was programming for Ocr
From a python user - these are basically like lists right? (minus the one data type thing) :)
Yeah. All languages have a similar concept but don't always work in the same way
about to write my exam in 3 hours👍(IM COOKED)

Can you make it a bit simpler

Okay
A bit complicated for gcse
This is the level you need to know, unfortunately
