A game where the skill is no skill, is just patience to handle this experience. The 2 images that come to my mind are how JhonWolfe is beating this game, someone who knows the META, copying and pasting info he gathered from a database. The other image is how Markiplier tried to beat Welcome to the Game II but raged and deemed it was not a worthy experience. There are interesting things in Adam's games, interesting raw topics, tension and jumpscares but the heavy RNG and the META do affect the gameplay.
I just finished watching Johns playthrough, and the whole time I thought how much harder it'd be if the names were randomised. As much as i hate stupidly difficult games, the level of meta needed was stupid because the enemies weren't scaled properly and just.... ugh, this was one of Adam's weaker games.
To be fair John Wolfe didn’t gather anything from the database, he got it all himself. Plus he’s playing the game THE INTENDED WAY, which is to know which ones are shreds and which ones aren’t. Detective mode is there for a reason.
What if he already got it and that's the reason he hasn't uploaded yet, because he actually wants to post legit content and is replaying it through normal mode.

"Shit ending." Well, I agree, but Ryan's gameplay was worth it. Also, we've seen firsthand just how much effort he put into this so really, being salty is justified.
Tbh Adam has been a dick lately to people so I'm not surprised he added that in. Go look at the subreddit for the game on Reddit and you'll see a post with screenshots where Adam harrassed a streamer on Twitch for expressing some criticism about him.
I saw the ending, and I audibly laughed. I haven’t played the game myself (I’m a huge wuss-), but to go through what seems to be five incredibly difficult nights of keeping an eye on Tanner and the kidnapper, all the whole looking through cases, only for the game to tell you “haha loser go play Normal mode” must be SO FRUSTRATING. Like- sorry I didn’t play the way you wanted me to play? On this game I spent money on?? Where you GIVE ME THE OPTION FOR AN EASIER MODE??? I agree with Ryan here: a screen that tells you something like “you didn’t solve the case in time” or even “the neighborhood watch has been called off by the police force” or something would’ve been better than a bright screen that tells you to man up and play Normal Mode. It’s just... really frustrating. I said I laughed at the start, but it was more of a surprised laugh before the frustration set in. Sorry, I think this comment might be getting too long now. Ryan, if you somehow see this, you don’t have to play Normal Mode if you don’t want to. There’s an (arguably) proper ending there, but I totally get it if you’re too burnt out to try. Edit: I dunno why I’m still getting replies to this sometimes, but I will come back to say that my opinion has not changed: it’s still a kinda screwed up thing to do, I guess. But from what I understand, “Casual Mode” is almost meant to be training for the real deal, to which I say… just… call it Training Mode? Or maybe specify that it’s meant to be a kind of training mode? I dunno, just kinda thinking here. Regardless though, that obnoxious end screen was unnecessary. Even a game over-esc screen would’ve done fine, there was absolutely no need to insult the player like that.
Listen. The easy mode of this game isn’t meant to insult the player, and it never really does; it’s training for normal mode, and the ending makes it clear. If anything, this Mode is generous, because player’s can opt to undergo an easier experience to learn how the game works without risking death every 3 seconds; and if you expect Adam’s game to award you for minimal effort, then that mindset just won’t help you whatsoever. Ryan most likely didn’t know much about the game, atleast not enough to tell that casual mode wasn’t going to have the real ending, (Which should have been common sense from the start) and so, he’s predictably going to get angry when he doesn’t get the big cinematic that he expected to get. Adam wanted to prove that his games take real effort to play - I know, you’re shocked.
??? True, ryan isnt quite fond with adam’s style of playing games. His games are meant for dedicated players that will give a lot of effort and care more for the journey than the reward. Thought adam shouldve probably give a heads up for newbies
Nobody: Horror games: Don't lock up your house! The police is useless! You always lose the struggle with the antagonist! "I only work in black. And very very, very dark grey."
You can tell that ending actually made Ryan mad, which is an understandable reason because it was mocking him saying "Hey! You are bad for not doing normal and doing casual, now go play normal." So I understand why he was upset with that ending and you can tell through these videos that he really did try
That’s not what it was saying at all. The casual mode is meant to train your for the normal mode of the game, so of course Adam wouldn’t let people who play easy mode get the real ending; you just have to earn it.
@@Smiley82816 despite that he dont have to put the 'You got shit ending' cuz that shit is straight up rude..If he made the game hard to beat then he should know that putting that shit text in casual mode is straight up mocking people who tryna learn the game plus the vague machanism...
He wouldn't just rage he would also get mad at Adam potentially not playing his games anymore. Adam is mad at the content creators for having more people watching them playing his game instead of people accually playing the game.
@@almightydreadhead6909 yeah he had a paragraph of him saying he is canceling the next game so the to be continued ending on the normal mode doesn't mean anything since there will be no other game. The last game Adam is making is another rides with strangers.
To be honest, I always thought the detective work and dealing with the killers are two gameplay mechanics that don’t work together in this game. In Welcome to the Game, browsing the deep web was the main mechanic, while hiding from kidnappers was a side thing that kept you on edge. Here, both surviving and playing detective try to be the main mechanic, meaning that both clash and make the game incredibly difficult and unfair. If the enemies’ were less aggressive and the game relied on the sense of dread and ambiance that the first game had, rather than the knowledge that you’re constantly about to lose, it would have been a great experience. On top of the absurd difficulty, the game mocks you for playing the only mode that’s somewhat reasonable. Permadeath on a game that has “levels” (the night system) should be an optional challenge, not the default mode. The original game was all one stretch, so permadeath was more acceptable, though having checkpoints has always been somewhat unfair for these games in my opinion. Anyway, great work Ryan!
Ryan, Thank you for being honest with The Game maker & us. Most gamers just quit or fake their response for views but you always give your honest conclusion to these games and we totally appreciate that from you Ryan. Again Thank You.
lol why doesent she just have recordings on the camera and then once she gets to survive the night she goes to the police and shows them the video and have police men around her house for protection so she doesent need to worry about anything else and she can just continue her investigation
I like how Luna starts every night with a casual "I should go to the computer and get the night started" even though she being chased by two serial killers who are trying to get into her home every night.
I'm actually really annoyed by that ending, I was hype to experience the ending [I've already seen it] with Ryan but no offense Ryan, I don't think that will ever happen, I'm not doubting Ryan's abilities, but Perma death makes normal mode extremely difficult and rage inducing, as Ryan said, I do believe it would have been much better if it said "You didn't have enough days to solve the case before hackers took down your crime watch program" Instead of - As Ryan said- "A big middle finger to the player", but it's nothing I can change, Ryan, I would love to watch you play some of normal mode but i would also be very happy if you reacted to a video of normal mode's ending, just cos it would be less rage inducing for you,and just easier in general. I would love a reaction to the normal mode ending and then if you would give your thoughts or theories. Love you Ryan and stay safe
Ngl, I'm annoyed with that ending too, especially with all the effort you've been putting into making these videos. This ending just ruins the whole flow of the game, if I were playing it myself and got that ending, I wouldn't want to play it anymore because it's really disheartening. I *would* like to see you play normal if you're up for it, but don't force yourself to do it if you don't want to
It doesn't help that this game is trying to tell a story though, it leads you on to believe that there's more and hooks you in, especially with that long opening sequence. I get what you mean about the journey, but when the game consumes so much time like that, it doesn't really congratulate you or give you a sense of relief when it bluntly hits you with "haha shit ending". Although if you didn't really struggle with it I can see that it might not be as frustrating.
Ryan: you don’t have to get up off the computer if you hear the nocking, also if Tanner (white coat guy) is peaking around the corner, all you have to do is go into the closet with the internet in it and hide for a minute, but don’t open the closet unless you see Tanner in the cams
I've completed casual mode and I have to say, hiding in a room when tanner peeks from the corner and then not touching is a myth. You don't have to hide, just don't open the closet.
Damn. That was rude ass ending if I ever saw one. I like it for being different but also...wth man?! Normal mode ending is pretty interesting but it's just too damn hard to GET to with the perma death. I'm glad you finished it Ryan and I am satisfied. I don't need to see you beat normal because it might give you an aneurism. Looking forward to any future games you play though
I would even be fine with you just watching the ending if you don’t want to do the entire game on Normal. Either way, would love to see you react to the ending.
That game was so difficult and Ryan put so much effort into that. And once he’s completed one of the hardest games he’s played he actually gets mocked by the developer. Like seriously?!
Wowwwwww,Wolfe was right about the casual ending. He said “Im gonna do Normal, because i think that even if i complete Casual mode,im going to get a *You Won* jpeg or some kind of shitty ending” and he was f@@king right about it

I think Adam fails on what makes a hard game fun like cuphead with the charming characters and art style and actually GIVES YOU A TUTORIAL but with Adam it’s all just impossible difficulty
@@no.5335 At least Welcome to the Game had a tutorial from what I remember. It gave you a tutorial on how the hacks work and what to do. This game doesn’t really give you that kind of chance. It forces you to trial and error/think. Then again, the BOLOs do tell you how to keep Tanner and the kidnapper out (though that doesn’t mean it’s easy to keep them out). And the email tells you that your lights can randomly turn off and not to use the camera lights unless necessary. And there’s a how-to section somewhere in the menu screen (not that just reading about it will help you). But the rest of it is guesswork.
The thing is he created it, playtested it constantly throught development, so long that even nightmare mode is not a big challenge ofr him. The problem is, he made the difficulties around his skills and impressions and that is not how you do that. He should have given the game to a few close friends or someone to test and give him feedback before implementing difficulties or atleast so he could tweak them. Then he wouldnt get this backlash. Its his fault, really.
@@TeenPerspektiva Hell, even if he did, the endings are literal shit for the amount of effort players have to put in. I'm talking about both endings by the way. Beating casual mode gives you the shit ending, which of course no one likes. Beating normal mode leaves you on a cliffhanger, after multiple hours of playing. I'm probably never gonna play the game thanks to that, because it's just not worth the time.
At the end of the day, there is no denying that Adam is shocking at endings. Every ending he’s ever made has just been unrewarding and unsatisfying. I’m WTTG you just watch someone get tortured and killed. Is that really worth the effort?
It's not just that as well, Adam has spoken out that he's disappointed with the sales of the game but with a game as hard as this with very little satisfaction at the end, any casual gamer/someone who doesnt have the time to religiously play/learn the game would be turned away from buying it themselves. I would love to see more games from Adam (cause his games are unique and the story is intriguing) buf without them being easier so a wider audience can play it (not just youtubers or streamers or hardcore gamers) I dont think he'll get the sales he needs.
Megan Baxter Adam is also did himself a huge disservice with how he acted with a smaller streamer who criticized the game. I mean, using backdoor feature to screw with someone else’s game while he is live on twitch, then being an ass to him in his chat (threathening the streamer with leaking DM’s, saying that he is farming his game for views, etc) tells a lot about him. Source on Castoreh’s Twitter and on the game’s subreddit. Personally i don’t really want to support a guy like that.
Adam: *is a piece of shit and makes overly complicated games that takes forever to complete on the easiest difficulty, and gives unsatisfying endings* His games: *get low sales* Adam: 🤯
I wasn't happy when I got this ending either. It feels like a disappointing letdown in the grand scheme of things after all the work put in to just let the game end with a mocking ending.
But it’s not supposed to be mocking you; sure it may come across as that, but the point is to train you for the harder difficulties of the game. Who the hell goes up to their friends and brags that they beat casual mode?? It’s something to be proud of, since it signifies that the player has learned how to actually beat the game, and that now they are fully prepared to tackle normal mode, but it’s not going to dump the game’s true ending on you for screwing around and dying, without any consequence. Adam’s games are hard and take effort to play; If you don’t like that, then don’t play the game. Don’t set yourself up for disappointment, just beat normal mode, and get the real ending, that’s Scrutinised.
Alright, Bahae. What exactly do you mean by ‘HELL’?? Do you mean the fact that you can die literally dozens of times and still progress with the game, is hell?? Do you mean the fact that being able to make FIVE whole mistakes, is hell?? The threats are way less consistent too, this is ridiculous; it’s like save scumming in Welcome the The Game II, where people save their progress and jump right back there whenever they die. No effort whatsoever. Also, Adam has nerfed the game countless numbers of times, he even did on yesterday, just so that people could have an easier time with it, and surprise surprise, they’re STILL complaining! At this point, Adam is now working on Rides With Strangers, because he’s pretty much done nerfing the game to oblivion. This is one of Adam’s games, and it takes a TON of effort to beat; if that’s overwhelming for you, don’t play any of his games, full stop.
??? If casual mode was like this I would brag all day because I know for a fact my friends wouldn’t be able to handle it. Lmao if I tried this hard or even harder to be the easiest game mode I’d cry if I got this ending because I worked hard for it.
??? You realize that people are allowed to be disappointed in the ending for casual mode right? They bought the game with their own money so of course they are allowed to give criticism lmfao. Telling people “just not play it if you don’t like the ending!” just sounds childish. If you don’t like the fact that people are giving some valid criticism to a game developer then idk what to tell you besides relax lmao
Hey Ryan, Here's a game suggestion : "The Henry Stickmin Collection!" In case you're unaware, it's a series of choose-your-own adventure-esque games following the main protagonist, Henry Stickmin, as he tries breaking into a break, escaping out of prison, etc. There's currently six games in the series, with the final and most recent addition being recently released on Steam. I think it would personally be extremely entertaining watching you interact with the game and I'd like to see your reaction to it's witty humor and abundance of references to movies, TV shows, and video games. Please check it out, the final game had so much effort put into it, and aside from Markiplier I haven't seen many other big youtubers play it! I personally think you'd love it.
Everyone loves the Stickmin series. Personally I just followed through with Mark since I started with him. However, if he played I wouldn't watch because it might have a lot of cuts and it's a long game. I do encourage him to play though.

Honestly, I agree with Ryan. This game is so janky at the moment, that it’s difficult to progress quickly in this because of the bugs. So to have to muscle through, all the bugs, all the flaws, and get that ending is lazy writing, condescending, and silly.
...If a youtuber plays a horror game with funky jazz or something it changes the mood...the editing will show you what he emotion he wants to evoke...if makes it look hard it will make his claims more justifiable.
Un bon chat Un buen gato Well, a lot of UA-camrs, and gamers struggled with this mode, and game in general, alot of it really knuckles down to the games flaws. This game has ALOT of them, especially regarding Tanner. They created his mechanics to be so painfully specific, that it doesn’t gel well, and everything outside of that specific millisecond of timing, is wonky, or glitched. Heck, the mechanics are so specific, they barely fit in with each other, XD. This game is great in concept, but it has NOT been ironed out well enough for it to have an ending like that on one of it’s modes. It’s very appropriate to call this ending a shit ending, cause Adam made a REALLY shitty ending.
@@NosKryme What even are Tanner's mechanics? He just silently phases through your front door every time you're in the hallway? Lol, he just seems borderline RNG which really isn't particularly fair for a free-roam horror game. He needs more/more reliable audio cues or something, in my opinion. Kidnapper's just fine, but even on Casual Tanner heckin cheats.
Im glad to see Ryan critique the ending. Cause Adam pulled this crap with WTTG2. Im glad Ryan stood up for himself, and for the many other creators who feel the same way.
That’s not fair. I can just hear the disappointment. Adam, thanks for that. You’ve got the reason nobody is buying the game. You can’t insult the player.
I mean let’s be honest if he changed that ending to be more respectful it’s not like everyone would start buying it, people don’t enjoy hard games like this, it’s just a simple fact.
@@nixus1909 right, like it seems so ridiculously hard for no reason. the fact that ryan had to get lists of what to shred just to be able to progress at all says a lot too.

That's all you get after you beat what's supposed to be "casual mode"? That's the ending for that mode? I'm pissed and I wasn't even the one playing it. 😑 That is a slap to the face if I've ever seen one. The developer did it to be a smart-arse. I don't think I'm going to waste my time watching anyone else play this game. Feck that.
Though seriously, Casual Mode literally lets you die like eight times and still beat the game. It feels cheaty that you can just go in and out without any real consequences, then the stakes are so low.. It’s like, “Oh no I died!.. Time to reload my save file on night 4”. If you think that you deserve the true ending of Scrutinized for playing in an easy mode that completely negates you of any consequences for dying, then think again, because that’s the exact same formula for all WTTG games; you lose, you lose everything, so get back up and put real effort in.

I'm not playing that game if I hear someone knocking on my door I'm putting a whole table and going on 911
I saw the ending, and I audibly laughed.
But the normal ending ia better and nightmare one best
@@bodyguardoftheceoofmemes9838 Apparently Normal ending and Nightmare ending have the same ending
Is it possible to do it just by lucking through it?
??? True, ryan isnt quite fond with adam’s style of playing games. His games are meant for dedicated players that will give a lot of effort and care more for the journey than the reward. Thought adam shouldve probably give a heads up for newbies

Adam has a twisted sense of the word
"Casual"
The thing is he created it, playtested it constantly throught development, so long that even nightmare mode is not a big challenge ofr him. The problem is, he made the difficulties around his skills and impressions and that is not how you do that.

Arpad Szabo wait do you know if there’s a video of him messing with the streamer’s game?
??? Dude your literally going through HELL to do casual mode imagine freaking normal mode he could've at least nerfed casual mode
Hey Ryan, Here's a game suggestion : "The Henry Stickmin Collection!"
In case you're unaware, it's a series of choose-your-own adventure-esque games following the main protagonist, Henry Stickmin, as he tries breaking into a break, escaping out of prison, etc.
There's currently six games in the series, with the final and most recent addition being recently released on Steam.
I think it would personally be extremely entertaining watching you interact with the game and I'd like to see your reaction to it's witty humor and abundance of references to movies, TV shows, and video games.

Yeah I saw Adam complaining on Twitter about the low game sales while at the same time laughing at a reply talking about Ryan's reaction. He seems to lack any self-awareness and an ego so massive it can be seen from all the way across the globe.
@@GraySlicerAnimations Even still, you can't be too mad at him. It's CASUAL mode. You should have to work to earn a great ending, which is what casual mode discourages.
@@fredbearbutters5609 Mockery and complete disrespect of your players is not the way to do it, especially when this so called "casual mode" is still pretty difficult. Attacking your dedicated players never works out well.
Ryan: *gets the Shhh Ending*
Me, and the bois: *Hey Ryan, when will you play the Normal Mode*
That's right!
Apparently there's an actual ending in normal mode
@@benj... This ending was a good one though
@@AsstShine Yeah I suppose if you like being flipped the bird for 20+ hours of gameplay lol
@@benj... It was still an amazing troll
If I was wasting my time on this game and that, "18:08" was the ending I got after all that hard work and aggravation... I would pull a "Markiplier" and snap.
Feck that.
Bruh there's another ending in nightmare mode
And normal
Brandon Sampe But those endings aren't even worth it either :/
@@bruhmoment9439 they are they contain story and even teaser ror scuitinized 2
Though seriously, Casual Mode literally lets you die like eight times and still beat the game.
It feels cheaty that you can just go in and out without any real consequences, then the stakes are so low.. It’s like, “Oh no I died!.. Time to reload my save file on night 4”. If you think that you deserve the true ending of Scrutinized for playing in an easy mode that completely negates you of any consequences for dying, then think again, because that’s the exact same formula for all WTTG games; you lose, you lose everything, so get back up and put real effort in.
I've never been this hyped before, I ducking love this shit, more please
