Mufti menk was cancelled from Oxford and other universities for saying homosexuality is wrong. I have also heard him speak out against other sins like adultery, lying, waste, gambling, and intoxicants. I don’t think he is really guiding people down the wrong path. I have learned a lot of valuable things from him on how to approach touchy topics with a peaceful demeanor. That being said, no one is perfect. All imams and sheikhs and muftis are human. They are not angels and they are not prophets and they are not God sbt. None of them should be followed blindly. And you can still disagree with one or some statements said by a scholar or mufti or sheikh but still really gain knowledge on other topics. One doesn’t discount the other.

      🔻No one can see God ( 1 John 4:20 - John 5:37 )
( Which proves Jesus can't be God because people have seen him )
🔻For there is ➡️ one God ⬅️ and there is one mediator between God & Men, the ➡️ man ⬅️ Christ Jesus, ( 1 Timothy 2:5 )
( This proves Jesus isa man. not God )
      🔻Jesus said, “Hear, o Israel : The Lord our God is one. ( Mark 12 : 29 - 31 )
( Jesus compared himself with the people by saying our God is one )
🔻Jesus said why do you call me good ? ”No one is good except God alone
      ( Luke 18 : 19 )
( This proves Jesus made it clear he is not good & only God is Good )
      🔻The bible makes it clear God is not a man ( Numbers 23 : 19 )
( Why do the Christians say Jesus is God and human )
      🔻Jesus, said, “Hear, o Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord Is 0ne ( Mark 12 : 29 - 31)
( Why do the Christians say Jesus & God are both Gods )
🔻Jesus said to the people I am ascending to my Father & your Father, to my God & your God.” ( John 2O : 17 )
( Jesus Compared himself with the people by saying my God and your God.”)
🔻But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the son, but the Father ( Mark 13:32 )
( The fact that Jesus does not know the future proves he is not God )
🔻Fellow Israelites, listen to this :Jesus of Nazareth ➡️ a man ⬅️ accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know. ( Acts 2:22 )
( Christians it does not say Jesus of Nazareth was ➡️ a God ⬅️ accredited by God )
🔻Jesus cried out in a loud voice, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?
      ( Matthew 27 : 46 )
( If Jesus is God why is he begging God to save him from getting killed by a Jew )

It’s a little to extreme to say he’s an influence into people becoming homosexual just because he takes the softer approach which isn’t always the case mufti menk is firm when he needs to be. Allah SWT loves those who are soft and kind in nature so much so on the day of judgement they enter paradise no questioning. Being soft doesn’t mean you’re going to become homosexual. There’s a thing as being overall masculine where everything you do has to be showing you’re a men, which can lead to toxic masculinity. There’s needs to be a balance, if you’re a man your actions will speak for itself mufti menk does horse back riding and goes to the shooting range but he doesn’t focus on that because he knows who he is as a man he doesn’t need to prove it to anyone. It’s honestly not him it’s society people are normalizing homosexuality so much and pushing for it that kids today will say they’re gay just to be cool astaghfirullah. May Allah SWT protect us.

And it would help your cause against the lgbtq.
The crossworshippers claim that their god became a man. So my argument is, if they believe that their god transformed into a man in the 1st century, then how can they have any argument against the lgbtq? You are hitting two targets with the sane stone. If someone says something that is contrary to the Deen publicly, then he is obliged to come out and denounce his opinion publicly once he recognises his error. If he fails to do that then it is the responsibility of the ulama and all other Muslims who know the truth or correct ruling to come out publicly and declare what is right regarding the matter, so that people (the larger Muslim communities) would not be misled by the ignorant or selfish/personal ruling. So brother Romani you're doing the right thing. What I would wish to happen is to have a panel of islamic scholars (on UA-cam especially) who would be examining rulings/opinions of fellow scholars on aaqeedah and contemporary social issues affecting the Muslim ummah. And it would be best to invite and have discussions with the scholar who deviates from the Islamic ruling/law on issues. And this should be done professionally and intellectually without giving room for anyone to think or believe this is an attack on the other scholar. Pretty much like The behaviour Panel (I don't know if you're familiar with that UA-cam channel).

What definition best describes you here? 😆
What Do I Do If I Find Out My Favorite Preacher Is Corrupt? The 5 Stages of Grief
It is very traumatic to find out that the person you've been listening to for years has changed or is now expressing increasingly deviant views.
If you recognize this deviance, consider yourself one of the fortunate ones. Most of the fans of the person won't even understand the problem because their entire source for learning Islam is the preacher himself. So these fans don't even have an objective measuring stick needed to know what is or isn't corruption. Their understanding of Islam completely depends on whatever the celebrity teaches. If he changes, they change.
I have gone through this trauma myself. People that I thought were upright scholars of deen that I loved and respected turned out to be unabashed sell outs. It wasn't one or two "off the cuff" remarks that made me realize this, but an extended pattern of behavior, associations, and private correspondence. When I talked with the preachers in question about these issues, rather than assuage the worry, they compounded it by doubling down, excusing their behavior, making ugly accusations against me, accusing me of disloyalty, etc.
What I have seen is that when fans of celebrity compassionate imams find out about corruption and deviance, they go through the 5 stages of grief.
      Stage 1: Denial
The first thought is, "This is nothing." The fans don't want to hear anything bad about the preacher. So they ignore all the evidence and try to shield themselves from seeing anything incriminating so that they can maintain the pristine image of their beloved preacher. Sadly, many do not leave this stage, no matter how much evidence there is.
      Stage 2: Anger
In this stage, the fan lashes out at anyone pointing out the corruption/deviance. It is very sad to see these individuals because you can hear it in their voice how tortured they are. They view the celebrity as a family member. Sometimes they love the preacher more than their own family members. But they also are confused and can sense that something is not right. This contradiction causes mental anguish and they release this frustration by lashing out at others and defending the preacher at all costs.
      Stage 3: Bargaining
Eventually the fans cannot deny that there is something off with the preacher. By now, multiple independent sources have brought up the same problems and the preacher himself has done nothing to satisfactorily address the issues, much less resolve them. Sometimes he might even double down. The fans start to bargain with themselves: "Well, there has to be an explanation. It must have been out of context, it was an innocent slip," etc. They tell themselves, "Ok, so maybe he did make a mistake. But so what? No one's perfect!" They bargain with themselves, "I'll just take the good and leave the bad. No problem."
      Stage 4: Depression
This stage hits like a ton of bricks. The previous stages of coping could not stop the inevitable realization. Now they have reached full-on grief and it can be very ugly. For some, their Islam is threatened. They have so closely associated Islam with this preacher that they transfer feelings of betrayal to Islam itself or ulama and scholarship as a whole. Some fans, in their grief, make dramatic pronouncements like: "I will NEVER listen to another scholar again!" This stage can last for weeks or months.
      Stage 5: Acceptance
If Allah wills, the now ex-fans reach a stage of maturity. They now understand that not every preacher today is trustworthy, to say the least, and some of them may have the external trappings of traditional Islam when in reality, they are nothing more than faux-traditionalist wolves. They have moved past blind fandom and start to distinguish between the feel-good fluff version of Islam taught by compassionate imams from the kind of Islam taught by traditional scholars for centuries. They may have scars, but the healing process is well underway.
An excellent example comes from the Sahabi Salman al-Farsi. He spent his early adulthood leaving the religion of fire-worship to become Christian. He would find a Christian scholar to study with, learn all that he could until the scholar would die and then he would move to study with the next scholar. In some cases, he found out that one of the Christian scholars he was studying with was corrupt, literally stealing from people. He didn't give up or say, "Well, we can only follow the dead!" He moved on and sought the truth. Eventually that led him to RasulAllah ﷺ and he became one of the greatest Companions, may Allah be pleased with them all.
Be like Salman. If one preacher burns you, there are many righteous scholars in our day and age who stick to the truth and don't sell out. Seek them out and Allah will guide you to Him bi idhnillah.

Because these small things add up to one day being gay attribute and suddenly one day boys will identify as woman or become gay. We as parents teach our boy children to be boys and bring up as man. I was looking to get married, and through family and relatives, I was introduced to a hafiza of the quran. When we were talking about the serious stuff, she said that she has LGBTQ friends and if our kids became LGBTQ, all she would do was tell them that she loved them!!!!! She did not believe me that the alphabet people had an agenda against us. She believed that she could reform them no matter how much they tried to lead her astray, made fun of her, said bad things about the prophet (PBUH) and his companions. I told her that a Prophet, Lut (PBUH) failed, where she was expecting to succeed!!! And mind you, these "friends" of hers, were making fun of her, sneering at her. How can muslims these days be so naive? Why do women think that they can turn the situation around no matter what? Why do the words Lost Cause not have any meaning to them? On certain things and certain people especially, we must give up. Did the Prophet (PBUH) also not give up on Abu Jahl and Abu Lahab? We must know how to cut our losses. Like wise we must know when to push and push and not give up.

tbh I really love Mufti Menk. And if somebody would say something against his Ahlak and character, I would stand up against this. But I am literally, and there is no doubt (after hearing and realizing, checking, and all of this stuff) after hearing this what was going on, Haha no there is no point in supporting his arguments of Mufti Menk.
Like I said I really appreciate him, but if he wants to represent Islam, he could do better. And I want to wake up and not follow a bunch of sheep, responding to a shepherd.
I don't have the energy, even to follow (blindly) the majority or scholars, who are I not even sure and the actions don't represent them to be scholors.

I listened to the full interview very carefully. Mufti said nothing wrong at all. Listen carefully to each of his sentences and words (ua-cam.com/video/v5xIfEQqjdA/v-deo.html). He actually beat the woman at her own game for those of understanding. The other canadian guy however, yes, I agree with you, that is total weakness.
Interviewer: Can a woman shake hands with a man ?
Mufti: Under certain cirscumstances, yes she can....
Interviewer: What's your personal teaching ?
Mufti: " If I have to, I will......
(If for example he is asked to shake a woman's hands in a certain circumstance where it is a matter of saving human life, he would...Makes perfect sense. If his mother asks him to shake her, his wife's hand, etc, he will...Notice it is not good muslim behavior not to shake a woman's hand in some circumstances. If your mother or wife demands you to shake her hand, what would Allah want ?. Remember he already said "Under certain circumstances...")
Interviewer: "If I visit you in Zimbabwe, will you shake my hand ?"
Mufti: "If you see my beard and extend your hand. Who knows ? I may shake it. I really don't know..it's the circumstance...i don't even know if you will come here....but argumentatively if you were to come here it' s ok."
(Careful here, he said he really does not know if he will shake her hand if she comes to Zimbabwe. Which makes perfect sense, imagine someone held a gun at Mufti's head or at the woman's head when she visits Zimbabwe and demanding that Mufti shakes her hand to save a life. Will he do it ? Yes. Mufti's answer is correct at all circumstances. Yes, he does not know. Only Allah knows what will happen. In fact Mufti even said that he does not even know if the woman will come to Zimbabwe. And that is the correct answer.
He is not saying it' s ok that he will shake her hand, but it's ok if she were to come there to Zimbabwe...)
About freedom of religion, yes Mufti is 100% right. Remember there is the verse: "No compulsion in religion..." In the Quran, Allah keeps reminding our prophet that his job is only to warn and spread the message, not to force anyone. That He will not be asked about the non believers. That they are not his responsibility. His job was only to warn. That perhaps it would sadden him if they do not believe, but they are not his responsibility and he will not be asked about them.
Mufti went on to say, in a subtle way, that Denmark, a country that pretends to be all about freedom, is not actually about freedom of speech: "are we not blocking freedom of speech.." meaning that the Danish are against freedom of speech if they are unwilling to accept someone disagreeing with their opinion on certain matters..."
Interviewer: "Do you believe in Democracy ? "
Mufti: "Democracy is ok". He did not say that he believes in it. He went on to say he votes in elections, meaning he has no problem with democracy but he never said he believes in democracy.
Mufti: " If I were to show you the evidence, you would say yes, this man believes that he should vote"... Here again Mufti avoids saying that he believes in democracy, but he says that he believes he should vote.
Interviewer: "Do you believe that pornography can lead to homosexuality ? "
Mufti: " Maybe it can...If pornographhy is ok in Denmark, and homosexuality is ok in Denmark, and bestiality is ok in Denmark, then what is wrong if pornography leads to homosexuality. Why are they getting angry at it ? Why are they getting angry at that statement ? It is freedom of speech to believe yes it does, or no it does not...." Mufti killed it.
Be careful of slandering people and making them say what they did not say. A mulim should always give the benefit of the doubt to his muslim brother and assume the best as we cannot read our brother’s hearts, only Allah can. So let's fear Allah. Putting Mufti alongside the other guy makes it seem as if Mufti is also guilty by association but when you take his words apart and listen to them carefully you realize all of his sentences are perfectly correct and there is a lot of hiqma in the way he answers the questions. Those of understanding, who can interpret correctly what they hear, and can also read between the lines will know what I am talking about.
And to the brother @Gabriel Al Romaani, Lut was a prophet sent on a mission to warn those people. Mufti is not a prophet and he was not sent to the homosexual nations to warn them. That comparison makes no sense. Even to the prophet Muhamad, pbuh, Allah keeps saying in the Quran, it was not his responsibility if they do not believe in the message. He will not be asked about the non believers. His job was only to warn and spread the message.

Invest on pointing out the right thing yourself rather than pinpointing how others have failed to point out the right thing.
Carve a niche for your self with your own type and style of da’awah, or else you would always be perceived as been jealous.
