Hi Leo, been around for ages .. you are a life saver .. listened to your cover on many occasions, and when I was hospitalized with a stroke (blood clot in braain) .. I still write lots of music, but its not the same anymore .. turned 61, still long hair and old 🙂

He tried to tour the US but there was a restriction on how long the group had been together. They have been together long enough now that it wouldn't be an issue, so I keep trying to tell him they should try again

Hi Leo, your work is AMAZING! Some people call me crazy for it, but a few of your covers are even better than the original (Hey Jude for example, and daring to say that about the Beatles is grounds for a fight if said in the wrong places). I think a few classic songs from even further back in time would be fun to remake, like Incense and Peppermints by Strawberry Alarm Clock. I also think you could absolutely tear apart a few Broadway hits like Rent (the song, also from the musical RENT), or a metal cover of The Phantom of the Opera (again, the song but also from the musical). Ok, one more, since I'm from Wisconsin, USA you could do a metal cover of the Beer Barrel Polka and influence an entire culture. Thanks for keeping me and millions of others interested in music, and introducing us to the original songs that we might have otherwise ignored. Thank you sir!

G'day Leo from Australia. The first time I ever encountered your content was a reaction video to Your cover of Adeles' "Hello". I have never been able to listen to the original version in the same light again. The same rings true for so many of the songs you have covered since, which includes a pretty big chunk of the 450 or so that you have covered. The sheer talent, determination, commitment and love of music to do what you do in making the content for your channel is absolutely amazing. Managing to fit this channel in with your home life, concerts and touring with your band and you friends show me someone who has an unrequited love for not just the music that you produce, but also the fans of your channel and just downright determination to leave your mark on the world. You have left a mark in my appreciation for anyone who is as determined as yourself to be able to take a hold of a song and be able to do what you do. If the opportunity ever arises that you tour Australia with your band and your friends that contribute to some of the collaborative videos you have done, I'll be in the line for front row tickets. You're a legend mate!!

It's an odd situation to be in! My boy is picking up on SO MUCH. Playing Metal/certain Rock Music is a bit of a no go atm! I'm not being the first "Swearing Parent" 😄 put too much effort in watching my own P's & Q's to have him learn something from music 😄
These covers are awesome as he gets all the energy & feels of the music I love & want to share with him without any subject matter he should really be avoiding at his current age!
@@pirate_duck4985 I listen to Metallica and Slayer a lot. We have listened to a lot of Metallica in the car but I have not exposed her to Slayer yet. She can hum most of the songs from the first 4 albums.
I also have not gone a day without saying fuck at least once. We have already taught her that it is a grown up word.
@@pc574 Haha! Yup, exactly the same way. My Dad had a stroke a few years back & confuses words but swear words also slip in on the odd occasion. I'll always be able to hold this one over my wife too 😄 The only swear word he's EVER repeated came from my Mrs & Brother-in-law messing around in front of him 😄😄😄
Weird you mention Slayer! When my boy was a baby, baby we're talking just over a year. I was watching a BMX DVD had him on my lap, chilling out. Bloodline came on & he started bouncing around!! Absolutely loved that moment haha.
These versions allow my Leo haha, to access that energy, feel of metal songs without being exposed to any of the more adult content. There's so many metal bands out there that have swearing, innuendos, lyrics that when you actually read them outside of the song aren't too great haha. These just allow my boy to rock out & mosh around like a looney 😁
I bought my first Leo album (Vol. 6) 3 weeks ago and was so good and keeps me pumped, that I've purchased 3 more since and about to get a 5th one. I'll have all eventually. Have to make a nice little Christmas songs folder for that time of year :)
