@theonlygoodonehere2259 this is how you know he's goaded bc anytime someone acknowledges how wonderful of a career he's had someone else has to cry about it and claim he's not that good.
And one of the reasons it was so amazing, is because fans didn't really want the title on Lesnar anymore, because he wasn't there enough. But they also hated the idea of trying to force Reigns to be "the guy" when they didn't feel he was ready. Rollins' cash-in wasn't just a great moment, or great swerve, but it was also kind of a huge relief to the fanbase that they'd decided to pivot.
I still remember watching that Royal Rumble the day after on RAW with my Mom. WWE had to show it for free instead of a regular show due to the blizzard in Jan, 2015. Brock, Cena, and Seth put on a spectacle and truly made one of the greatest Triple-Threat matches ever.
I was there live. That crowd blew up when his music hit. Glad that moment is known as such an amazing moment since it's the only Mania I've been to. The curb stop into the RKO looked insane live which is also a super well known WWE moment.
someone needs to get too caught up in the moment and cash in during the royal rumble & make it a multi-man/person match that has a champion nobody would expect. Imagine if the brief case is cashed in during the Royal Rumble & you could pin anyone in the ring to win, or dump the champion over the top rope to prevent them from defending the belt
I was surprised, in this interview, to hear Seth say WWE never saw the same in him as they did with Roman. In the first part of the Shield's split, Seth was on a roll. MITB, Heist of the Century, double championship reign, Authority figure. I mean, that's a lot of balls handed to him. Now, did they turn to Roman afterwards? Absolutely. But Roman and the Bloodline sell so many tickets and sponsorships he should actually be thankful they add zeros to his paychecks. Plus, they counted on him to make Cody's return relevant. They gave him secondary championship reigns. He won the Rumble. I mean, if you want to keep the product fresh, you gotta give the ball to others sometimes. Comparing yourself to Roman is a strange figure to consider as he is the chosen one after Cena, Rock, Austin, HBK, Bret and Hogan. Punk never had the spots he got. Sheamus never got what he got. Drew never got what he got. Mox never got what he got. Angle had to claw his way to get what he got. Heck, even Triple H had to wait years before his reign of terror. So I don't know, I didn't really understand why he was hard on himself like that. Especially since he obviously has a lot of years of wrestling in the tank. Now, I do understand and agree with him his feud with Punk was kind of mishandled (never pinned Punk at all, in the end). Raw on January 6th should've been his full blown heel turn.
Like duh Mox was a Ham and Egging Jobber in the WWE WITH PINK HAIR AS THEN THERE WAS A DUDE THAT LOOKED LIKE MOX NAMED DEAN AMBROSE SHOWED UP N WAS A MAIN EVENTER SO GET YA PPL CORRECT.
They wasn’t on ppv when this happened, they was on the wwe network. The only thing i can think of is they still had ppv carriers even though it was majority on the wwe network
Seth cashing in at Mania simply HAD to happen, as the alternative (Roman winning the title, which is obviously what Vince wanted) would have been a disaster. As Seth points out, he would have gotten booed out of the building as he did at the Royal Rumble. Another reason to be happy Vince is gone, no more pushing guys down our throat that Vince wants over what the fans want.
what did vince did better than triple h even in his bad booking phase, was create new young star guys, and book them to develop, triple h still to this has nit created any young polarizing young star guys, they all gotta be in their late 30s to be in the world title scene, thats bad, and he is still relying on legend guys like vince did
A problem with Rollins' memory is he thought he was hated hated hated as a villain. At that time he was booed in his entrances and wrestled like an absolute babyface to the point he would get cheered as long as he wasn't up against Ambrose.
So Seth Rollins is who Roman Reigns' family should have blamed for the ending of WrestleMania 31 and not Vince McMahon. Seth Rollins really is this generations HBK and HHH.
Cashing in during the match was smart because they were both hurt at that time, allows no DQ, and if he waited then post match there might be back up from the celebrations
Its pretty interesting to know seth Rollins trained in Colorado is pretty cool 😎 also another fun fact my pro wrestling friend actually got to work with seth Rollins before he went to Roh
It’s funny while Seth was given the assignment to be the hated heel to make Roman’s first baby face run get in the good graces of wrestling fans it just made most wrestling fans love and appreciate him and his work more I prefer Seth over Roman any day before and till this day
Rollins- “Punk coming back at the end of War Games was selfish, he wanted to make it all about him” Also Rollins- “why don’t I win the world title by interjecting myself in the WrestleMania main event”
@@Hippityhop-13 I mean, not really. Seth wanted to do that at Mania. Punk didn't want to return at SS. I believe he said it was Khan's or Paul's idea, because he wanted to return at the Rumble.
At the time, I didn't think Rollins was a deserving world champion throughout 2014. They were obviously building to Roman as a top guy and him main eventing against Brock. I thought Dean Ambrose was popular and deserving enough for a spot if they weren't gonna go with Daniel Bryan to win it (which was a stupid idea given how popular he was and how much people wanted to see him win the title). I didn't have faith in Rollins until I saw the triple threat match at the Rumble. To me, while that match was great, he was the one who had a breakout performance. So much so, that I genuinely wanted to see him win the title even though he had the brief case. That match made me root for Rollins and happy that he got to win the title at Mania.
Though I think that doing this was a good idea, his logic is partly flawed and history shows that. Yes Seth was one of the biggest heels at the time and would definitely become a even more massive bad guy for doing this, however he forgets just how much heat Brock had. Though Brock is a big draw, he was also massively hated at this point because he was never there and holding the world title hostage. You would think that would be reason enough for everyone to want Roman to win, but the fact of the matter is we did not want Roman. And even after Seth won, we still didn't want Roman. So whether it was one massive heal that everyone hated or two massive heels that everyone hated, the fact still stood that nobody wanted Roman. This is definitely one of the better cash ins, even though it created two things that I hate with money in the bank now. 1. Cashing in mid-match, which is stupid and makes absolutely no logical sense. 2. Cashing in at mania; because it throws the whole build up for the match out the window. Regardless Seth was the villain who got to be the hero on this night.
I don't understand the logic of why you can't "overrun" on pay-per-view. Only cable/network TV, sure. They have other programmes scheduled. Isn't a pay-per-view usually stand-alone?
