I was on vacation when this game came out. The game looked so awesome and I couldn't get it! And to make it worse, they showed the trailer for it all the time in the lobby of the hotel!
As for the difficulty....I played the demo on Normal. Towards the end of the demo, you find a pipe which you can use for melee. That is on Normal. On Hard, the pipe is not there, it's either ommited completely or placed elsewhere. Now that's extreme, if supplies are changed/removed then oh man....
oh me too man. I did the game purely as stealthy as possible. I go so far out of my way for stealth games. and i apologize, I misread and didn't see the "on hard" difficulty. Yeah hard mode really isn't that difficult to do that. Not to mention there really isn't much crafting stuff to grab towards the end. it's mainly flamethrower ammo and Assault rifle ammo. spoke out of context.
how can you not see the bolt? the knob that is on the end is clearly visible and the top of the rifle shows that it is obviously the same receiver as almost all bolt action rifles.
Just finished the game. The ending didn't have as much of an impact as I would have expected, but it's about the journey, not the destination, and looking back at all these two have been through is amazing, and sad at the same time. Throwing it all away for each other.
Minecraft, Half-Life, and Counter-Strike are on consoles. Even Planet Side 2 is coming to the PS4, Plus why would I need an Emulator when I still have my old Nintendo consoles? If you ask me it would be more fun playing on a real 64 than on a computer.

The Last of Us for me had a Skyrim effect from back in 2011. As soon as I started playing it the game set the bar so high that I can say right now that nothing I play for the rest of the year will top it. If something does I'll be pleasantly surprised and welcoming to it but I don't feel looking at the fall and winter game lineup that anything has the potential to top it.

I've too have been following from day 1 as well, and all the gameplay and talking of the game in this video has nothing mention of what I haven't already heard from a reviewer. I think it great that you are warning fans of the game from any spoilers, but I'm just saying that if you have seen any review video of the game; there is stuff that normal people, like you and me, have seen.
had some issues with framerate and crashing was frequent, there was even a patch that made the game crash if you touched water, but i think that is all fixed now
I also found that you shouldn't explore EVERY room in your first playthrough, because often than not, the story will continue without you. So explore when you have time and someone is following you instead of you following them.
Here's a SPOILER for all of you Ellie is immune because of a mutation that occurred while she was in her mothers (Ana) womb, to which she contacted while she was infected by an infected person who was a member in the fireflies group who could have been her father that got infected whilst going to search for immune people. Marlene took a group out and some made it back and some didn't.. That's all I'm saying and I choose not to spill all, because I think it wouldn't be fair.
I love naughty dog. The opening gameplay for the first part of the game is sooo sad T.T and the story, script, and acting is sooo good. The characters just show a lot of emotion. Just like a movie
Ok you really need to check the technical reviews then. They already said that the one advantage is that PS4 uses GDDR5 while the xbox uses GDDR3, Scott Lowe has already stated that the difference are miniscule. It isn't how you put it, the differences will be so minor. Gonna buy the PS4 btw.
Im surprised more people aren't comparing The Last of Us to Telltale's The Walking Dead. Reading preview coverage, the first thing that struck out at me were the similarities between the two. Considering that the Walking Dead is perhaps the most emotionally-affecting game ever made, I'm very eager to see what the Last Of Us brings to the table, especially with what the reviews are saying about the characters, story, etc. Can't wait for my preorder.

just because most, not all, bolt action rifles have that receiver, most certainly does not mean that this specific receiver is ever used in any type of weapon other than a bolt action rifle. and the bolt is clearly visible in his hands! look at it. just open a new tab, go onto google images and look up "bolt action rifles" then find one with no scope and a view from the back of the rifle. then go to the time stamp I originally posted in the comment that started this and compare.

One thing that can spoil this game is like saying "Oh this character dies in the end, and the world blows up!!" Most of the footage is stuff that a lot of people have seen already. I say just don't watch the video, but listen.
I haven't finished this game yet. I haven't had the time. But this game is perfect. The first 10 hours are worth much more than 60 dollars. This is the best game of 2013 so far and I think it'll be extremely hard for GTA to top it.
I have always felt bad for those who are not a part of both families. Both consoles have such amazing 1st/2nd party non-multiplatform games that it makes me sad to think that some gamers who can't afford, or are too biased, to try both systems will never experience them. Truly a shame. The same goes for PC and the Nintendo consoles of course.

Listen, I have both consoles and that is not even remotely true. Both have the same graphical capabilities, the reason MGS4 won't be made for the 360 is because it doesn't have blu-ray. Because if they put it on normal discs, it would need 3-4 CD's. Graphics are equal on both consoles. P.S I like both consoles :)

That doesn't represent power, your discs don't run the game, your discs just hold it. PS3 has blu-ray thats why it can have MGS4. They CAN make games like this if they wanted, the specs are similar. PS3 user here btw.

I agree there. I like quake, doom, half life, halo, bioshock and games like that. And i enjoy a little battlefeild. But everyone has their taste.But like you said it is getting very flooded.

I'v been a PC gamer since forever, only bought one consol in my life (n64) and I will still play PC couse it's my prefered consol - but even if it may cost ~300$ for a ps3 and the last of us (if ur lucky maybe you have a friend who owns one) but this game is worth it. So far this has pretty much been the best iv played and as a "gamer" something you just can't miss. IMO
im not making anything up....for even mgs4 to run on xbox 360 it would take 5 DISCS thats straight from the developers its FACT and the older games are ported
I just beat this on hard today took me a little over 14 hours amazing definite masterpiece I don't know if it top UC2 for me because I'm a little biased towards the UC series but this game is a true masterpiece loved it so much and the mp is fun

It means we bought a game thinking we were gonna love it because some reviewers loved it. But assuming it doesn't deserve that high score is also a mistake, because that is a presupposition, and a negative at that. Playing the game with the idea that is was "over-hyped" can actually ninder your experience. Morale: Just wait for it to come out.
My gaming taste is almost similar to Colin's. Like him I really love Ni no Kuni and don't really fancy Infinite. He really enjoyed TLoU and I think I will too.
It's games like that, which make me want a PS3, hopefully next gen they might have some downloadable old games similar to the way XBLA/PSN occasionally does now as i will most likely switch back to PS next gen.

No there's barely any footage. The couple of clips that you see at the beginning is about all the footage they show through out the whole podcast.

Me and my Girlfriend are lucky enough to have a projector and surround sound. It's going to be amazing and terrifying night! Cant wait to play it!
