This is one of the three E songs, the other two being Epilogue and Edge of the World. I recommend you do both, the live versions. I also think you would absolutely love A Frozen Serenade live and Swan Song w/Chopin intro (especially if you like the piano!)...these ladies are the real deal and insanely talented!! It's OK. Lovebites has a way of leaving everyone speechless. They are phenomenal. This particular song isn't a typical Lovebites song though as it is very ballad like. 90% of their songs are much heavier in sound and speed. Midori and Miyako are sensational guitar players. If you thought this solo was amazing you haven't seen anything yet because they do even more mind blowing solos in all their other songs.

LOVEBITES is a relatively new band founded by Miho (bass) and Haruna (drums) in 2017, but made their major debut in just half a year from the first stage and is active mainly in Japan / UK / EU. I am amazed every day by the immense talent of these women, even though I have been listening to this band for over a year. So incredible talented metal band. And one of the best metal bands today. I love the band Nemophila from Japan too. This band is one of the best all-female metal band in Japan. But absolutely different metal band than Lovebites. Fun reaction of yours. I enjoyed it. This song is a kind of unusual to be the starter although this is one of my favorites. Guitar is not dark haired guitarist Miyako's primary instrument, piano is her primary instrument. She just started teaching herself playing guitar with instruction books at her 18 but she has been playing piano from her 2. The other guitarist Midori started learning guitar at a music school at her 20. They are the world best twin guitars yet have very short time of experiences. Time doesn't mean much to real gifted people, I guess. If you want listen to her piano more, there are a lot of live performances she plays piano. Welcome to the best new metal band to come along in decades. Since Heavy Metal is not your go-to style, you made a lucky choice, in starting with one of their softer, more ballad-like songs. In their five years of existence as a band, they set a standard that easily puts them on a par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. Other reviewers have described them as alien superheroes disguised as young women, angels sent to save us, princesses of metal, and angry bridesmaids. Whatever the description, I think one can say they have given metal a badly needed makeover and maybe a new lease on life. They have themselves said that part of their mission is to save heavy metal from darkness and obscurity. Some background: They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and soul of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the greatest European bands of the golden age of metal. She recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" “pocket nuclear reactor”); they needed two world-class guitarists, and so they went and found Midori and Miyako, who were with other bands. Believe me, this is not even the average degree of crazy "solos" and not even the average potential of the singer's voice. There are Lovebites songs that would leave you with your soul hanging by a thread. There is something for all tastes, heavy and soft, vertiginous and slow.

It's OK. Lovebites has a way of leaving everyone speechless. They are phenomenal. This particular song isn't a typical Lovebites song though as it is very ballad like. 90% of their songs are much heavier in sound and speed. Midori and Miyako are sensational guitar players. If you thought this solo was amazing you haven't seen anything yet because they do even more mind blowing solos in all their other songs.

LOVEBITES is a relatively new band founded by Miho (bass) and Haruna (drums) in 2017, but made their major debut in just half a year from the first stage and is active mainly in Japan / UK / EU. Welcome in my Metal World. Great reaction video. I was born a metalhead. I am proud member of Wolfpack. I am amazed every day by the immense talent of these women, even though I have been listening to this band for over a year. So incredible talented metal band. And one of the best metal bands today. I love the band Nemophila from Japan too. This band is one of the best all-female metal band in Japan. But absolutely different metal band than Lovebites. Fun reaction of yours. I enjoyed it. This song is a kind of unusual to be the starter although this is one of my favorites. Guitar is not dark haired guitarist Miyako's primary instrument, piano is her primary instrument. She just started teaching herself playing guitar with instruction books at her 18 but she has been playing piano from her 2. The other guitarist Midori started learning guitar at a music school at her 20. They are the world best twin guitars yet have very short time of experiences. Time doesn't mean much to real gifted people, I guess.

Their main influences are Iron Maiden, Metallica, Slayer, Helloween, Angra, Judas Priest, Dragonforce, and even Gary Moore, but they have been developing their unique style. Some people say that they are redefining metal or that they are breaking the walls of stereotypes in the metal scene. They really shine in their live performances. Those twin lead guitar solos by Midori and Miyako are already legendary, in just six years. Miyako is also a concert-level classical pianist. Asami used to sing R&B, soul and jazz before she joined Lovebites. In an interview, Miho (ex bassist) said that they wanted to play as heavy as men but keeping their femininity. Welcome to the best new metal band to come along in decades. Since Heavy Metal is not your go-to style, you made a lucky choice, in starting with one of their softer, more ballad-like songs. In their five years of existence as a band, they set a standard that easily puts them on a par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. Other reviewers have described them as alien superheroes disguised as young women, angels sent to save us, princesses of metal, and angry bridesmaids. Whatever the description, I think one can say they have given metal a badly needed makeover and maybe a new lease on life. They have themselves said that part of their mission is to save heavy metal from darkness and obscurity. Some background:
They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and soul of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the greatest European bands of the golden age of metal. She recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" “pocket nuclear reactor”); they needed two world-class guitarists, and so they went and found Midori and Miyako, who were with other bands. The whole group then found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time (she also trained in ballet). Miyako has composed most of their music, with Miho composing a lot of their thrashier songs in collaboration with Mao, the lead composer of another band called Lightbringer. Midori has also been getting into the act, and they regularly perform a song written by Haruna as well. Asami writes most of the lyrics.
They studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Helloween, Slayer etc. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance is that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining. They have incorporated some of the best of each of those bands into their arsenal, and have created a sound that is fresh and cutting edge while paying tribute to the old masters.
This is an unusual choice for a first reaction to them, but I think a good choice for you!
They do everything from soulful power ballads to heavy thrash. Almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two guitarists are quite different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel (though she can also shred like a demon). Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The contrast makes their duets rich and dynamic. It doesn’t hurt that either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band."
