The Baglihar Dam is located in the Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir. The dam is part of the Baglihar Hydroelectric Power Project, which is a run-of-the-river power project on the Chenab River.

The project was conceived in 1992, approved in 1996, and construction began in 1999.
The first phase of the dam was completed in 2004, and the second phase was completed in 2008.
The dam is 900 MW.

Yes sewa river ravi river ki tributary hai but sewa 3rd is on ravi river in mashka village which is non functional after 2013 and ranjit sagar dam in on ravi river locally known as thein dam
