Great video guys!! Can't wait to visit one day!! Beautiful scenery and what looks like some fine pubs. I'll come and hoist a Guinness one day, and kick up my heels! Awesome choice of Unleash The Albannach for the musical accompaniment! One of my personal favorites! :-)
@@viphelpline41 I went in September 2019 and visited the grave of my great great great grandfather buried in the cathedral. Only spent an hour in Ardefert. Next time will spend at least a day.
Ardfert, the place I spent most of my youth in, and where both my parents spent their youth in. It was truly home with most of my relatives living in the centre of the village. All the landmarks have memories.
I really enjoyed this film. I grew up in Banna but have lived in Blackrock, Co Dublin for most of my adult life. I visit Ardfert several times a year and invariably I visit the ruins of Ardfert Cathedral and sometimes the Franciscan Abbey nearby. I love those ancient monuments . Recently I was delighted to see that one of the ruined churches beside the cathedral has been roofed again. There is a fine view from beside the cathedral of Tralee Bay from Slieve Mish to Kerry Head. Near the cathedral was a round tower which collapsed in 1771. It is fascinating to think that almost a thousand years ago that the tower gave a better view than exists to-day. Perhaps now that the church is rebuilt that they might get around to building a replacement round tower.
Great Video , well done go raibh mile maith agat. Lots of memories of our summer Holidays every year in Ardfert and Banna Strand. Many family connections in this very Village, so great to see this Beautiful Video. The only thing i would change is the audio, something hauting from 'Secret Garden' maybe :) 9.5 out of 10

Well done Colm and Martin. Love the images and love your style. Hope to get back to Ardfert soon. Blessings to you both.
Your video paints an appealing picture of Ardfert which I hope to visit some day - the town where my great grandmother was born over 150 years ago.
Same here Diana we are going this year to trace family ..
