Blue Oyster Cult is a great band, and Donald Roeser AKA Buck Dharma is a brilliant guitar player, a true LEGEND

I learn more from Tom than any of my other youtube guitar guys. He gives more insight as to how to do it and why.

As if your golf videos weren't great enough, I now find you playing Buck, awesome.

Dude!!! Your golf videos are the freakin' bomb...had no idea you rocked the six-string as well.
BOC was the headliner at my very first concert, New Year's Eve 1977 @Rochester War Memorial Aud, w/opening band AC/DC! Buck Dharma is an absolute monster guitarist, one of the all-timers IMHO.
BTW, snuck in 18 today up here in chilly Upstate NY (48' w/ light rain but no snow.) went 40-38 thanks to your awesome tips. You rock my man!

BOC's 'Cities on Flames' is kinda like a more technically demanding version of Black Sabbath's 'The Wizard'; check it out. If you want to hear another Call & Response-type Guitar Riff from BOC which uses a very cool half-cocked Wah sound for the single-note response line to the power-chord question, check-out: E.T.I. (Extra Terrestrial Intelligence), from their 1976 album, Agents of Fortune - yes, this is the same album which included the track: '(Don't Fear) The Reaper', on it. These BOC tunes really make me miss the 70s. Enjoy!

My band Ebenezer The Crow covers this song. I learned the rhythm of it about 5 years ago. It was a challenge for sure. When we had to let go of our lead player at the time I stepped up and learned the lead and that was even more challenging. It definitely helped my playing to learn this song as well. Glad to see people exploring and sharing songs like this. 🤘

Tom, though he shows impressive melodical speed picking on "Burnin ..." he really is an impeccable player isnt he ? DR proves you dont have to "Shred" to be an articulate and gifted writer / player. All BOC fans know this song. But "Classic" radio only plays a small rotating selection of "hits". May I suggest you check out & perhaps showcase another Dharma composition. "I love the night" from the Spectres album. It's Sublimely unique, and ethereal. Very unusual pattern in its Melody structure. And the lead is a masterpiece of beauty in restraint. I first saw them live 12/31/79 when I was 16, & had to learn the lead before I went to sleep on New Years. I'm sure you'll love it too ❤️🎶🎸👍✌️
