Very bad security in this building. There are so many short term renters and air nib rentals that the doormen and concierge person has no idea who actually lives there so anyone can just walk in off the street. A rapist just walked into the elevator there and followed a woman into her apartment. Thank goodness she was able to get away from her attacker but many complaining that building security at the FlatIron is a joke.
@@geneticfreak84 No, I still live in NYC but am familiar with the Flatiron building in Brickell, Miami. There was a very bad incident there last week that was all over the local news in Miami. Google the story. Only the latest example of how bad security is in that building.

@@geneticfreak84 As a result of the incident last week and all the negative media attention that it generated, building management will hopefully improve security. Go in there and have an honest discussion with them and see what they say. The building is absolutely stunning and in a great location. Talk to management first and see what they are doing about security. Also talk to some of the residents if you can and ask if security improved. Then make your decision. Good luck!

Glad I didn’t buy. I looked pre construction and Airbnb wasn’t a thing back then
