I was a little upset that an AOT opening didnt make it into the top 5 but after seeing the ACTUAL top 5 i was like “yeah okay i accept defeat💀”

@@StielOcampo the same happen to no game no life. I'm pretty sure it hit around 200M views. Essentially the number 1 most viewed anime op song of all time. Yt copyright laws is the one to blame. It just doesn't make sense to strike old video just bcs the desc doesnt said "I do not own the song"
Many of yt user during 2010-2020 era does not much aware about copyright laws. For example anime fans who post anime opening that they like. They did that for the sake of their hobbies and most of them never monetize their vid. Yet some salty ppl report their vid bcs it has hundred million views. The day ngnl op in yt gone. I still remember the feeling of my heart shattered to this day
About 1 year and a half or 2 years ago, something strange happened and that is that some unofficial anime channels (UA-cam), which uploaded openings of X or Y anime, unsubscribed some of the ops that they uploaded.
These openings on those unofficial anime channels had many, many views, they had so many that they exceeded a hundred million views.
Some that were dropped were these, the Kyouran Hey Kids by noragami aragoto, the sasageyo from Shingeki no kyojin and the opening of no game no life. There were more who were killed, but I don't remember them.

I liked it but I think it would be better if you sticked to the opening available on Crunchyroll for instance because sometimes you take the opening available thanks to the publisher of the anime (Fire Force, Inferno with 69M views on Crunchyroll) and sometimes you take the official song by the artist (Domestic Girlfriend 174M views on Minami's channel) but the official music Inferno is actually at 202M views on the official channel.

It doesn't make sense for inferno he takes the music published by crunchyroll which is currently at 72 million views but for domestic no girlfriend he took the music on the singer's channel which is at 182 million. If we do the reverse, inferno is first with 214 million and domestic no girlfriend much lower with only 16 million views. In short this video is not very realistic of the real numbers of views.
Yeah he took Peace Sign from Crunchyroll instead of Peace Sign from the singer which would have made it number 1 (263 million), and Odd Future (3rd place) has 90 million views from Crunchyroll but the actual artist's song has 18 million views.
