I definitely need this. I dealt with a bad break up almost two years ago and kept following my ex and talked to him. I remembered that day when I fully surrendered to God and told Him that I was done with my ex. He gave me the strength to get through the storm. Now, I’m in another healing process of my mental health and it’s very hard. But, God, I’m overwhelmed by what He provided for me and blessed me with. You guys, God is so good! He’s transforming me to become a better person. He’s removing me from suicide, things that give me anxious thoughts, and lust. I was in that loophole for several years, but God saved me from the darkness that suffocated me. Glory to God! He’s right there when I need Him!

I was 5 years of chronic illness. I was Semi Housebound, lost my health, job, finances and my fiance left me. I couldn't even look at electronic screen for 5 minutes, or hold a 10-minute conversation. But God did an amazing work. I went from on relationship to the next, and never gave myself time to heal from being cheated on, being used, and being a second choice. I kept hurting myself until I couldn’t anymore, I had to sit and think and now I’m learning and healing. I can’t keep getting hurt and acting like it’s nothing bc it’s is something, it’s something that takes time to heal from and I’m learning that. Yes I do want a relationship but first I must heal, and prepare myself for everything that will come my way. I was using others for happiness bc I couldn’t find my own, but now I’m changing, growing, and just being happy. Like I deserve and so do you, so change, smile, laugh, grow, but mainly be H•A•P•P•Y!
Sometimes I feel like the healing process will never end. It hurts so much. Movies always make us believe that one day, you open your eyes and everything suddenly changes, becomes better. But in real life, it takes so much time, effort and pain.
She broke up with me because I rushed everything and she wasn’t mentally in the right place for a relationship. To this day I blame myself for being so silly, to ruin such a great relationship. She doesn’t love me and I know that I don’t like it but it’s ok. I was going to message her and try to win her back, but this just made me the think everything thank-you Montell, you saved me from my own trap.
For me it was the guy that was rushing things, but i was comfortable with it. So i let him, and now, he is the one saying he regrets how fast things were and he seems to have no more feelings for me. The one that told "i love you" first was the one to end things too. We can never know, it was not your fault, these things happen

I've grown so much since then, but have come across this again and am finding it's still just as poignant of a reminder as it was the first time I saw it. Thank you for posting this, for it being so simple, and clear. Just walking with God in nature is such a great way to see oneself and find clarity. That's not an option for everyone, but there are other alternatives to spend time with God. Sitting in the solace is an incredibly important part of the healing process. I've learned to be okay, and even prefer, being alone, but am also learning how to balance it with valuing those around me, and am learning to build healthy friendships again; how to trust again.

Hey Jorge, first of all I am so deeply sorry for your loss. I can only imagine what it's like to lose your mom. I would like to offer you solace in this time, by suggesting that the Lord took her home for a good reason, even if you perhaps can't see it at this time. I have found that He takes people home when it's the right time for them, either because they're ready to be with Him, or because He wants to save them from going through something in the future, that perhaps would make them lose faith in Him. I heard a story once about a man who was struggling with a specific kind of sexual sin that he kept secret for many years out of shame. One day, he finally got the courage to confess that sin to someone, and he felt relieved. He repented. Shortly after (the next day or so), he was hit by a bus and died right then and there. While it may look horrible to us, and certainly that's a terrible way of dying, the Father took him home because he was finally ready, he had finally confessed and repented of a sin that was besieging him. And while it may feel tragic to our minds and hearts, He knows better. He knows exactly why some of us have to leave sooner rather than later. It is actually an act of mercy, reflecting His everlasting goodness and kindness towards us. Brother, I hope this story encourages you. I don't know what the situation with your mom was, but I do know that nothing happens by coincidence and that there is a good reason in our Heavenly Father's eyes that she had to go at this time. Take refuge in Him and trust in His wisdom and goodness. He loves you as He loves your mom. May you find comfort in His word and His precious Spirit at this time, Jorge. In Jesus' name.

I really needed to hear this. I have ptsd from my childhood because of my abusive mother and ptsd of having to deal with cancer. Im honestly scared. Cancer took majority of my life and so did my mom. But im trying. Im really trying for myself to be better and taking time to heal.

This is so good! I very often found distractions to fill my voids and when I thought I was ready to fly back into the world I realized that I shouldn't have and should be patient with myself. It sucks, loneliness feels terrible but I know i have God and need to trust him. As long as I have him around my arms, Im fine.

I definitely need this. I dealt with a bad break up almost two years ago and kept following my ex and talked to him. I remembered that day when I fully surrendered to God and told Him that I was done with my ex. He gave me the strength to get through the storm. Now, I’m in another healing process of my mental health and it’s very hard. But, God, I’m overwhelmed by what He provided for me and blessed me with. You guys, God is so good! He’s transforming me to become a better person. He’s removing me from suicide, things that give me anxious thoughts, and lust. I was in that loophole for several years, but God saved me from the darkness that suffocated me. Glory to God! He’s right there when I need Him!

I went from on relationship to the next, and never gave myself time to heal from being cheated on, being used, and being a second choice. I kept hurting myself until I couldn’t anymore, I had to sit and think and now I’m learning and healing. I can’t keep getting hurt and acting like it’s nothing bc it’s is something, it’s something that takes time to heal from and I’m learning that. Sometimes I feel like the healing process will never end. It hurts so much. Movies always make us believe that one day, you open your eyes and everything suddenly changes, becomes better. But in real life, it takes so much time, effort and pain.
She broke up with me because I rushed everything and she wasn’t mentally in the right place for a relationship. To this day I blame myself for being so silly, to ruin such a great relationship. I've grown so much since then, but have come across this again and am finding it's still just as poignant of a reminder as it was the first time I saw it. Thank you for posting this, for it being so simple, and clear. Just walking with God in nature is such a great way to see oneself and find clarity. That's not an option for everyone, but there are other alternatives to spend time with God. Sitting in the solace is an incredibly important part of the healing process. I've learned to be okay, and even prefer, being alone, but am also learning how to balance it with valuing those around me, and am learning to build healthy friendships again; how to trust again.

I remember seeing this video 2? years ago when I was going through something rough with an end of an extremely attached friendship and this made me bawl eyes out. You are absolutely right but this is such a hard lesson to learn honestly.

Hey Jorge, first of all I am so deeply sorry for your loss. I can only imagine what it's like to lose your mom. I would like to offer you solace in this time, by suggesting that the Lord took her home for a good reason, even if you perhaps can't see it at this time. I have found that He takes people home when it's the right time for them, either because they're ready to be with Him, or because He wants to save them from going through something in the future, that perhaps would make them lose faith in Him.
I heard a story once about a man who was struggling with a specific kind of sexual sin that he kept secret for many years out of shame. One day, he finally got the courage to confess that sin to someone, and he felt relieved. He repented. Shortly after (the next day or so), he was hit by a bus and died right then and there. While it may look horrible to us, and certainly that's a terrible way of dying, the Father took him home because he was finally ready, he had finally confessed and repented of a sin that was besieging him. And while it may feel tragic to our minds and hearts, He knows better. He knows exactly why some of us have to leave sooner rather than later. It is actually an act of mercy, reflecting His everlasting goodness and kindness towards us.
Brother, I hope this story encourages you. I don't know what the situation with your mom was, but I do know that nothing happens by coincidence and that there is a good reason in our Heavenly Father's eyes that she had to go at this time.
Take refuge in Him and trust in His wisdom and goodness. He loves you as He loves your mom.

This is so good! I very often found distractions to fill my voids and when I thought I was ready to fly back into the world I realized that I shouldn't have and should be patient with myself. It sucks, loneliness feels terrible but I know i have God and need to trust him. As long as I have him around my arms, Im fine.
