  • Cam across a Kawasaki 1000 that was be ridden in a bizarre fashion. I asked him for directions a few moments before the video started and he did not seem to have been drinking but it was very strange following him so I decided to go past him in the corner.

Nicely done, very smooth pass, Z1000 rider very erratic and making those bends into Thripenny bits. :-)

I was a little concerned mate. I have my own ideas about why he was riding like that and I suspect you may know what I mean. Have fun on yours mate.

In your recent video you show replacement fuel caps on both your ZZR1100 and ZZR1400, I noticed the ZZR1400 is flat to tank and the ZZR1100 has raised center. Does the 1100 one have built in air inlet so as not to cause a vacuum trap in tank to stop fuel starvation. I know both your bikes have internal connection to petrol cap via a metal pipe to external breather rubber hose at rear of tank to by right footrest. I ask this question as I own the 1990 ZZR1100 C1, the previous owner cleaned out the tank using small stones and metal objects, shaking it about like a cement mixer. This has damaged the internal metal breather pipe near the top allowing fuel to run out of the rubber breather hose, gravity draining the petrol out of the tank on to the floor. I have since bought a second hand black tank knowing it would not be possible to access the internal pipe for repair. My original tank is the black and blue colour, second hand tank is all black. I was thinking if I got a rubber blanking to cover metal outlet at rear of tank to stop fuel leakage and fit the same new raised quick fill cap you have on your 1100 I could save my original black and blue tank. Does the ZZR1100 and 1400 quick fill tank caps fit either bike. On a search I can not find a listing for my C1. I was wondering if the tank cap housing on some of the Kawasaki range is universal. Sorry for the long winded question. Thanks, Vinny.

Have owned 4 zzr11,s loved them all apart for some small niggles. The d model has horrible glossy upper fairing infills and not very pretty clocks, can,t fault the c model though, gorgeous intake noise when whacking throttle open in a high gear and immense 80-100 mph top gear roll ons that make my blackbird seem lame.

They are great mate. I have a different opnion about the clocks and the upper inner fairing but heh! If we all liked the same thing it would be a boring world. Enjoy your fast riding mate. 🙂

Yes indeed mate. I kept it going to show him and the car behind I was going to pass him but then became concerned about what he was going to do so I concentrated on his actions and forgot to turn it off. Oops! 🙂
