In Episode 1 we experience the horrible events that game prior to Joel meeting Ellie. We meet Joel's daughter Sarah and his brother Tommy. After that we meet Tess and follow along searching for Robert until we meet Marlene, the head of a rebel faction (of sorts) called the Fireflies.
