Mark thanks so much for the cool easy simple tips. I would have never thought about this way to go to make the alternators look really nice with more life to them. Amazing job as usual. Please try to keep the videos and tips coming throughout this build. I just want to go home and build. Thanks again. Oh yeah - I always dip out of the cap. LOL
Thank you very much for watching my videos. I'm so glad I'm able to help. I'll keep making videos as long as everyone still want's to watch. LOL about dipping out of the cap.
@@grandpamarkshobbies Hey Mark. Please stop thanking me for watching your videos. By now I think you know I enjoy every minute of them. I don't think yo mindlessly respond to all the remarks from everyone. Maybe I'll have to get on FaceBook to enjoy your work a little closer? Is it better than UA-cam? Enjoy your day!
I'm sorry. I thank everyone every time they watch because I'm so humbled by everyone taking the time out of their day to check out my stuff. The Facebook group is up to 90 some people now, and they are some of the nicest people you'd ever want to talk to. No drama at all and lots of interesting ideas and tips. When I do a UA-cam update I'll do a little writeup and a few pictures too, then I add a link to the video. Love everyone over there.
@@grandpamarkshobbies No I'm sorrys either Mark. LOL Hope your working on another video. Again LOL. Put those guys to work or are they fighting over the lady? Laura was it? My brain - I forgot. So looking forward to living vicariously thru your videos again. I am dying to go work on my electric at the house but can't touch it before the insurance looks at it. Geez I have plenty of pictures but not good enough for them.
I just finished an unboxing video of a new airbrush that NEOECO sent me yesterday. Tomorrow I'm going to be diving into the Dart build, so there will be more videos soon. Her name is Lori, and she is married to TJ, so I think any fighting over her would be TJ mopping the floor with whoever messed with her, but note she is holding a pipe wrench, so I don't think there will be anything going on. LOL I can't believe that the insurance company hasn't looked at your electric yet. Man I'd be bouncing off the walls for sure. Good luck my friend, and I'll have more good videos this weekend.
Great dry brushing tech tip! I built the Hemi version when the kits were offered as Mr. Norm’s or drag Hemi. At the rear of the chassis, I carefully cut the wheel tubs off and moved them inboard to even with the unibody frame rails. I also removed the rear leaf spring mounts. I chose the stock style leaf springs, not the Super Stock race springs. I also chose the Dana 60 Hemi rearend and narrowed it slightly to allow the kit drag slicks to tuck into the fenders. It has a very nice muscle car rake, but not too high at the rear. I used some parts box American wheels to set the period look.
Well that is flat awesome and great information. Now all I have to do is remember it... Lol I will try to remember this when I work on the Aerovette's engine. I ordered black primer from Amazon and got gray yesterday, it will be a week before the replacement black (I hope) gets here. Going to town today so I'm to stop and see if O'Reilly's has a rattle can. So I will be working on the engine to day at some point... 🤔 Thanks for the video! LLAP 🖖
Pretty cool idea on the alternator. I hadn’t thought of that to show the coil. I normally just hit them with some panel liner to show the vents. Showing the coil is a good idea. You’re off to a fantastic start. Going to look great.
If you haven't already painted the secondary dashpots black on the "hemi" carbs black, don't. The black plastic pots are only on newer (Read as made cheap) Holley carbs.
I did, but it will only take me a second to change it. Thanks for the heads up. I'll do that first thing when I get down to the shop again. Thanks again, it's the little things like that that just take away from the total build. I've already got one of the carbs on 180 out, and couldn't get it back off to flip it around, so I had to re-think the linkage. LOL
Thank you very much. I use 3M foam tape to stick the parts to the clothes pins. Or Dollar Store foam tape if they have it. Works just as good for this.
So cool! I NEVER tire of hearing Wilhelm! 🤣
LOL. I am going to try and get it into all my videos for now on. But I will try and keep it subtle so you need to be looking for it. LOL
yay! Marks doing a gold car!!!
LOL. I love that Titanium gold.
That's some amazing detail and a lot of good tips too. Thanks Mark!
You are welcome. Thanks for watching. I'll have a new one out tonight or tomorrow evening.
That sound is much better! Looking great!
Thank you. Once I shooed off the ghost in the house I was able to re process the video without any problems. LOL
Great idea on the alternators!
Thank you very much. It's a little thing, but it sure makes a difference.
Enjoyed the update, I may try dry brushing sometime.
Thank you very much. Once you try dry brushing you will see a lot of other things you can dry brush on the car.
Thats going to look fantastic Mark!
Thank you very much.
Great tutorial! The details look great. Thanks for sharing
Thank you very much.
Thanks for the drybrush demo, Mark Very helpful.

Really nice detailing on those alternators, it makes a big difference.
Thank you very much. It took me a long time to figure out that I should be doing that.

Sometimes I wonder if they just grab what they have, then say ooops when you call them on it.

Thanks for watching. I use to do the same thing with the panel liner.
Me too, silver... Hahahaha

Passenger side rear window/ roof at body needs some sanding...it has a bad parting line...look forward to the build.
Thank you very much for the heads up. I will watch out for that.
Nice update.
Thank you very much.
Love It That Was Great SIR
Thank you very much.
Very nice Mate👍
Thank you very much.
Another great video! I'm curious to know what your using to stick those parts to the clothes pins.
I'm looking forward to this build! Thank you

HEY, GREAT CHOICE FOR KIT! Lol, Just got this kit and looking forward to what You do.i was gonna Texas 3D customs 426 6 pack hemi.
I think you will love it. It's got a ton of great details.
I thinking of modifying The Plain hood and installing Iceman collections
I want to install Iceman collections Six Pack Hood Scoop on Stock hood and go with Texas 3D Customs 426 Hemi 6 pack engine. It'll be fun I think
That will look great!!
Heck yeah, are you going to put in the linkage and hoses too?
