I am also adhd I do enjoy reading but don’t read to often but i normally sleep most night’s listening to audio books and documentaries as helps me sleep. Latley I have been listening to the bible and I want to learn more about god so I’m not ignorant latley I really have a yearning to get closer to god.
I would highly suggest listening to this while reading and underlining your Bible at the same time. I study many hours a day with adhd. It can be much tougher to feel rewarded while reading when you are adhd, no doubt. But passionate and importinant prayer will draw the Holy Spirit to stimulate your spirit with truth. Studies have proven you are far less likely to retain information when listening one time than studying your Bible. The mind needs a reason to memorize because most information is useless, and its in one ear and out the other. Which is why you can't tell me even 2 things you read on social media 2 days ago. We can memorize through repetition, but it can be stressful. However, you can still have success through meditation while listening. Choose a verse you listened too and think about the meaning and application of it throughout your day, also, pray over it. You may even like to write down all that you learned about the verse through observation that day. God bless you, and love yu. Adhd is tough but you can still be highly disciplined and successful in learning through Christ! He is Lord over all conditions.
